Things Just Got Interesting - Power of Veto Results

As expected today, Jeff used the Power of Veto and removed Porsche as a nominee - then put up Daniele in her place.  Some Houseguests said they were surprised, like Rachel, who was both surprised and very happy.  Others knew it was coming, like Daniele who told Kalia and Porsche very early this morning after a talk with Jeff that she knew he was putting her up.

So what got interesting?  Shelly seems to have decided to dump Team "JeJo" and try to save Daniele.  It taked 3 votes to evict this week - and so its the newbies that will decide it.  Shelly, Porsche and Adam have the power this week - Jordan and Rachel will vote as Jeff wants - and Jeff wants Daniele out.

Shelly and Porsche seem to both want to keep Daniele - I think Shelly realizes that she is the 4th member of the alliance with Jeff, Jordan and Rachel.  Shelly talked to Adam and laid it out for him - that Jeff and Jordan will be loyal to Rachel and take her to the end or as far as they can because people will not vote for her.

I don't know if this will happen (Daniele staying)- and it will be a double eviction so the second person could very easily be Daniele even if she manages to stay through the first vote. 

What this does provide is the annual chance to discuss production and how they try to influence the vote.  It is pretty clear that Daniele has a MUCH larger following than Kalia so they would rather she stay around.  Expect Adam to get loads and loads of questions in the Diary Room about the advantages of keeping Daniele, perhaps questions about where he stacks up in the alliance with Jeff and Jordan.  If he feels safe if Rachel wins the next HoH (If Dani stays her odds of beating Rachel for HoH seem better than Kalia and even if Rachel won she would target Danie were she still in the house).  He might also be reminded about his issues with Kalia, they were each others number one targets the first couple weeks.

We'll be listening to Adam talk about his DR sessions to see if he complains that they keep asking about Daniele.  What do you think - does Daniele have a shot?  Do you think Adam can be convinced?  Are you surprised Shelly apparently has flipped just like that?

My head is hurting...  at 10:14pm Shelly pulled Jordan aside and told her that she doesn't think she can beat either Jeff or Jordan.   She then proceeded to have a conversation with her that is still going on over 30 minutes later.

She mentions she has been talking to Daniele but claims there were not talking game (a lie of course - remember they ALL lie so I don't care that she is - hope she just admits it at the end).

She says that Daniele told her that Jeff swore she was safe last night - as far as I know this is another lie - I only heard Daniele tell Shelly that she knew Jeff was going to put her up - not that he swore she was safe.  She did complain that Jeff was hypocritical for telling her she wasn't a target when she nominated Kalia and Porsche - but she never said he swore.

On the one hand I think maybe Shelly hopes to make Jeff and Jordan paranoid and feel 'closer' to Shelly since she is confiding these things in them.  On the other hand I think she MIGHT just be laying the groundwork for dumping the alliance - being able to say to Jordan, "I told you I had my doubts - I was honest."

Its just really bizzare, but Shelly is such a good manipulator I have to think she knows what she is doing and has a plan, I just have NO idea what that plan is. 

She even said to Jordan that she wanted to go downstairs and call her out on the 'lie' she claims she made saying Jeff swore she was safe - of course it never happened (or hasn't yet) so maybe she never intended to - but wanted to imply she would for some type of effect.

We'll know more tomorrow maybe.  My head hurts...  and I'm not even joking.
