The Big Brother Gossip website and CBS live feeds are both having issues tonight, so make of this blog what you will. Half the night the feeds were not working, and half of the night the sound was out on 1/2 of them. I will try to convey the basics and what I learned though. I am also unable to upload pictures, so sorry for the lack of those.
When I first got my feeds working tonight, all the HGs were gathered in the living room in the midst of a fashion show (yawn). Helen won and was crowned with a fuzzy pink kitten hat. After this the HGs broke off into little groups in different places.
16 HGs is a LOT of people to try and follow, so I am still completely fuzzy on the details of who is aligned with who. Here is what I know: McCrae is HOH. He has nominated Candice and Jessie. He seems to have an alliance with Nick and possibly Howard, Jeremy, and Spencer. The have nots are Andy, Elissa, Judd, Howard, and Helen. We do not know who the MVP is yet, but a lot of the HGs, along with the rest of the world, are pretty sure it will be Elissa. AAryn is positive it will be Elissa and that she will be the one nominated. I think they must have had a confrontation of some sort before the feeds came on. A lot of the girls are really interested in the idea of getting Elissa out, but are pretty sure it won't happen this week. McCrae and Judd had a discussion about wanting to keep Elissa around so that there would be a big target in the house. Obviously we all know production would never let her go out this soon. They also all seem to either by noticing or by hearing it realize that she is Rachel's sister. The HGs have been on lockdown all night, which leads me to believe they are likely playing POV tomorrow/today.
There are crazy romance, couples, and love triangles everywhere. Aaryn and David already seem to be a full on couple. Jessie (who I despise already) spent most of her night not only whining about being nominated, but whining about how Jeremy (who apparently at one point showed some interest in her) was now flirting with and laying in the same bed with Kaitlin. She spent a good hour or more telling Jeremy how she felt about him showing Kaitlin attention. Kaitlin gives as good as she gets and spent a good portion of the night complaining about Jessie and Jessie's relationship with Jeremy. Jessie's insecurities really started hanging out when she tried to talk to several other HGs about being nominated and she really seemed to be losing it. I'm hoping for a full on meltdown very soon.
What I got from Candice is that she talks LOUD and she talks a LOT...to EVERYONE. She spent most of the night talking about everyone to everyone else. I have no idea where her true loyalty lies at this point. She does seem to be closer to Jessie than to the other girls she was talking to though.
I could see, but couldn't hear much of anything from Andy, Judd, Nick, McCrae, Elissa (small blessings), or Howard, so I can only tell you that it was obvious that they were doing some gaming, but I have no idea what they were saying.
I'm actually really loving this cast so far. I only loathe Jessie, Elissa, David, and Jeremy so far. That's pretty good out of a cast of 16. I'm loving McCrae and I am happy for him winning HOH. This is the first time in a long time that I've liked the first HOH. I also still like Nick. He shows promise as a gamer, he is pretty smart (so far anyway), and he was the last one hanging in the HOH comp with McCrae. I like Andy a lot from what I have seen of him, but that was very little tonight. What did you all think of the first episode? Who are your early favorites? Welcome to BB 15!!!
Hopefully tomorrow night more of the bugs will be worked out and I can give you all a more thorough rundown of everything that has happened. I also tweeted pretty much every ridiculous thought in my head about what I saw (including pics of GinaMarie with a tampon up her nose) @ashes2ashes13 if you want to read through that nonsense.
Since posting the blog, there have been quite a few gatherings of varoius HGs together to discuss some strategies. McCrae and Kaitlin have been talking a good bit about Candice and her confrontations that I am guessing happened before the feeds went live. McCrae has also assured her that the plan is to backdoor Elissa. He has told several other people in the house that this is the plan as well, but says that they have to keep it quiet and keep Elissa calm. Again, I don't think there is ANY way in hell that Grodner will allow Elissa to be out this early. It would make me extremely happy, but I just don't see any way for it to happen.
They have been talking a lot about the rules of the MVP, but I am still really unclear on it. I know that the MVP nominates someone right before veto. I don't know how many veto players there will be this year or if the MVP is an automatic player. A few of the HGs have mentioned something about the MVP automatically going up if the person they nominate gets veto'd off the block, but, I'm fairly certain those people are wrong. The rule they have been talking about that I DO believe is that if the MVPs nomination gets veto'd off the block, the MVP gets to pick the new nomination. So, a few of them have been planning to take off one of McCraes nominations so that Elissa can be put up by McCrae, rather than Elissa being the MVP and getting to pick someone else.
Amanda has also made her way up to the HOH room to tell McCrae that Candice is batshit crazy and causing a lot of drama in the house. She also told him that Candice is sure that he has an alliance with Elissa and is telling everyone else that. She says that Spencer went from being "super nice conducter guy" to being "a fucking dick". McCrae said he noticed that as well. She also doesn't trust Judd and McCrae says to her that he agrees. Amanda then started talking final 4 deals. Her final 4 would apparently include the 2 of them and Howard then later on. Jeremy.
Speaking of final 4 deals. There is also a supposed alliance including the couples of David and Aaryn plus Jeremy and Jessie. However, I'm not sure Jeremy actually knows about or is invested in this particular alliance. It was talked about loosely between the girls. Jeremy also seems to be in more of a relationship with Kaitlin.
I've been watching Big Brother for so long that I wasn't planning to be confused by what was going on this year, but I have to say, between having 16 different new HGs and then this MVP twist that involves 3 nominations, I am enjoying the fact that I DON'T know exactly what is going on or who is loyal to who. It's nice to have to actually guess for once.
