No More B.S.!

I've been thinking about writing this post for a few days now, but have not wanted to fan the flames.

I can't hold back any longer, though.

As I've stated many times on this blog and our podcast, I've enjoyed this season more than any of the last handful. This was mainly because there weren't any returning players to temper and handicap the play of the new contestants. With the exception of one stunt casting, and a twist designed to protect her, everybody started the season on an even keel.

Yes, there have been a ton of questionable comments and actions. Yes, some people have acted inappropriately. Yes, people have made disastrous moves. That's what happens when you have a cast of reality show virgins! You get drama! Isn't that what has been missing in previous years? People should be rejoicing!

They're not. In fact, I've never seen a season where the fanbase has taken the show so seriously. I'm not just talking about the cat ladies who want rules tweaked, bent and broken to ensure their favorite makes it untouched to the end. I'm not talking about the usual double standards for behavior, or the demand that the rest of the house do nothing but what furthers their hero.

It's getting much scarier than that, and it needs to stop.

There are sites out there created by people that clearly have too much time on their hands. These sites include private information of not only those in the house but their families and friends. When one brain surgeon tweeted a family phone number earlier this week, they were inundated with harrassing phone calls for the rest of the day.

Seriously, you cretins, get a fucking life.

You can love and hate anybody you want. You can think this person is trash, or that person is a beautiful angel. That's part of the fun of the show.

When they're out of the house, you can then throw whatever verbal jabs you want. I've admittedly had my fun with certain people over the years. No matter their sins, though, the families don't deserve this. Their parents shouldn't have to take down their business websites or disconnect their phones. You are NOT their judge and jury.

You, not those in the house, are ruining this season. If the show doesn't return next summer, I hope you all look at yourselves in the mirror. It won't be because of the ratings or the various live feed controversies. It will because you busy bodies are giving the producers and lawyers such a headache it won't be worth the risk of putting on the air. Will you be happy then? Either that or it will be a house full of Helen's organizing knitting parties. We definitely don't need that!

Julie Meadors, the house guests signed up for the show - not YOU or anyone watching. If you don't like what you see, turn the channel. No one outside the production has any right to become involved in the show, its contestants or staff IN ANY WAY.

Its a tv show, not a security camera in an apartment building lobby. there are people behind the scenes who are handling any bad situations as needed. Your input is unnecessary, much as you apparently would like it to be.

Its sadly the self entitled mentality of keyboard warriors who's short sighted lives have blurred the line between their real life and what the watch on tv,

The only 'right' you sign up for is to watch, or not and voice your disagreement to the network. There is far worse material aired on tv scripted and not, but I doubt people are calling the houses of the actors on Game Of Thrones about a storyline of children being murdered, women being raped and people tortured.

or rap videos we allow our children to hear and watch with lyrics that refer to rape, abuse, casual sex, murder...etc. Or is it only racism when a white person mentions it?

Any behavior you are watching on BB is just a sample of what is happening around you every minute of every day. Concentrate on making your community a better place instead of concerning yourself over a behavior enhanced television show.

Amen...I've been saying this all along. Once again, you get the ones who respond but ignore the real reason why this was written. Maybe they should take 101 Reading to insure they understand what is being said. I won't be surprise if the feeds are taken away come next season. Looking forward to reading more.

Such a BIASED article! When they leave the house they will know the TRUTH! You're no better than the BIGOTS in the house!

To the supposed 'former TV producer'. There would be no show without ME or others watching. I think you need to re-read my post. You possibly misunderstood.

You seem nice, J.

Does anyone really condone the behavior of these house guests? No. They have said some incredibly tacky and disrespectful things this summer. However, they are all adults and their families have had no input whatsoever in their actions since they were taken away to be on the show. The mere fact that anyone would harass or threaten a family member is mind boggling to me, as we haven't seen or spoken to these people in real life since about mid-June. No one's family is responsible for the things these house guests have said, and they should not take the blame or heat for it. The house guests chose to audition for this show and the families did not. It's hypocritical for people to scream in outrage at the horrible things the house guests have said/done, and then in turn spread the ugliness to these people's families and jobs. No one should have to be afraid for their safety because their child or loved one is on a television show. If these people were really thinking right, they would understand that what these families need right now is prayer and support in this horrible mess. Thanks, I'm done ranting now.

The line about Helen proves the author of this post is a fan of Amanda's who hates being in the minority.

YOU KNOW WHAT.... THIS IS REALITY.... SOMETIMES MONEY MAKES PEOPLE CRAZY OK.... BUT SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO STOP AND THINK HOW THE FIRE GOT STARTED IN THE FIRST PLACE....HUMMMM???? THE DISREPECT FOR A HOUSEGUEST THEMSELVES & THEIR FAMILY TOO, SAYING CRUDE & RUDE COMMENTS BY GETTING WAY TOO PERSONAL, & YELLING & HARRASSING THE HG IN THEIR EAR & CONSTANTLY FOLLOWING THEM AROUND THE HOUSE & YELLING DISCUSTING THREATS THAT WENT WAYYYYY TOOOOOO FAR.... THE PRICE THAT SOME OF THESE PEOPLE PAY TO GET ONTO ANY TV REALITY SHOW OR PROGRAM WILL HAVE TO ENDER WHEN THEY GET OUT OF THE BB15..... THIS WILL BE A HUGE EYE OPENING EXPERIENCE FOR ALL OF THE HG..... I SERIOUSLY HOPE THAT THE HG LEARN FROM THEIR MISTAKES AND FEEL THE WRATH THAT IS HEADED THEIR WAY.... THEY WILL BE HURT & UPSET & ANGRY NOT AT OTHERS BUT......""""AT THEMSELVES""""".... FOR THIS IS THE PRICE U PAY FOR YOUR ACTIONS & EXPOSE YOURSELF ON LIVE TV & AS FOR THE NEGATIVE ACTIONS THAT U CREATE FOR YOURSELF WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT..... AND AS FOR THE ZUCKERMAN FAMILY..... I FEEL SORRY FOR THEM BECAUSE THEY HAVE TO LIVE WITH THE EMBARASSMENT OF THEIR DAUGHTER'S ACTION'S............

THINK OF THIS WAY...... IF AMANDA HAD NOT ACTED OUT IN SUCH A HARSH/RUDE WAY THAT SHE DID...... WE WOULD NOT BE TALKING ABOUT THIS AND I WOULD NOT BE EXPRESSING MY THOUGHT'S & FEELINGS AS EVERYONE ELSE HAS IN THIS WORLD.......PLAIN AND SIMPLE!!!!

**** ASK UR SELF IF U WERE ON BIG BROTHER HOW WOULD REACT TO SOMEONE WHO SAID THOSE AWFUL THINGS TO U AND YOUR FAMILY????****

***AT LEAST ELISSA WAS CALM & DIDN'T BECOME THE MONSTER THAT AMANDA ZUCKERMAN BECAME AND AMANDA SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF HERSELF!!****
My post is not about Amanda. It is about Spencer. CBS should never condone in any way shape or form Child porno. My niece just started watching the show and thought from CBS TV show Spencer seemed nice and she was rooting for him. I told my sister no because of what I had seen on the live feeds what he had said. She is now mad at me because they were watching a family program and is up set she even let her daughter watch. Now mind you her daughter was just approached in her own driveway by a man. With all the children that are being attacked in public bathrooms and stores you would think someone as powerful as CBS would want to help children not gain publicity from a child molester. IF YOU CAN THINK IT YOU WILL DO IT.

Paul, the Helen line was a bad attempt at a joke. I'm against the stalking of any family, including Helen, Elissa, Amanda, and everybody else.
August 27, 2013 | Registered CommenterScott
Well aren't you all something! We have Ms. "these players are being heavily medicated." Who are you to say that? Are you there? We have "Elissa may not say rascist comments but she is more judgemental than anyone in that house" Well isn't that a tad judgmental. Let's see, we also welcome "Look in the mirror people!!" Ya'll get off your high horses and tone it down a bit.

15 seasons of "social experiment" should be sufficient time to see how people interact when couped up together for certain period of time but alas brings money into CBS. the bad behavior should of been halted immediately and since was left unpunished by BB and just a disclaimer stating that their views are not the same as the Hgs have innocent families feeling the wrath of how the viewers see the Hgs. we can all complain all we want on live feed chat or to CBS but PLEASE LEAVE THE FAMILIES ALONE. blame should be sole responsibility of CBS for not stopping the rules that were constantly broken for higher ratings and NOT the families, they didnt sign up for BB. for us the season will end but these Hgs have to go back to their own lives with no jobs and to be shunned by many around them. dont make it harder on the families
August 27, 2013 | Unregistered Commentermarlyn
Thank you for this. I'm a fan of BB and wish people understood it's a game. I think you and the BBGossip team have been point on with a lot of things going on. Keep up the great work and can't wait for upcoming blogs!

I do agree with what you say about the families of the houseguests but I do not agree that if the show doesn't return it will be because of us. This is the first year I ever remember production having to post a disclaimer at the beginning of the show. These houseguests are by far the vilest creatures I have ever seen.
August 27, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterAkasnana
Tara, CBS does did not condone Spencer's comment. They can't predict his thoughts and stop him from saying inappropriate jokes. However, they can decide not to air it, which is clearly what they did. And your logic of "if you think it, you will do it" is incredibly flawed. I've frequently wanted to throttle the idiot driver in front of me, however, I have not done it. Spencer's ugly comment was meant to be a joke (a very poor one, in VERY poor taste) but it was certainly not an admission of a deviant and unacceptable sexual perversion. Anyone who watched the comment in real time was aware that it was Spencer pretending to be McCrae, and clearly trying to be as ugly and graphic as possible in a way to make McCrae embarrassed. Appropriate? Never. A joke? Absolutely.

Paul.....

I'm sure Scott will chime in if he wants but Helen and her over the top rah rah - cruise ship entertainment director attitude in the house has absolutely NO relationship to Amanda.

Why any of Scott's post means he is an Amanda fan is beyond me. I believe he would have written a similar post on other seasons, about other Hgs, sadly it happens most years. Just ask Big Brother Shelly, another HG whose family was attacked outside of the house because Shelly helped evict Jeff. No ones family deserves to be attacked, and the things that have been said in the house by ANY HG this season (with the possible exception of the racial comments) can be topped by researching other seasons and former HGs.

LOL @ the cat ladies. Agree. Some take it way too far. It's a show, it's a reality show..and we get to see reality instead of scripted tv. STOP WITH THE INSANITY PEOPLE.
August 27, 2013 | Unregistered Commenterlisa
@sammie77 you're an idiot you obviously don't watch the feeds where the players clearly state on a regular basis about taking Xanax, Adderall, and who knows what else. Even Amanda today stated HERSELF "they gave me my meds today I was acting like a crazy person without them" I.e. her bullying Elissa yesterday. So it's not made up sweety.
August 27, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterKatrina
Hear hear. If people don't like it they don't have to watch. These HGs have disgusted me but that is BB -- uncensored, uncut, real, raw entertainment. I pay for the feeds and I want them to be crazy. If people don't like that they don't have to get the feeds.

If the next season is anything like this one...they can cancel. There has to be a better way to play the game. This season might have had SOME excitement, but it wasn't entertaining. Sorry to disagree.
August 27, 2013 | Unregistered Commentercake
As a BB fan, I can recall several questionable contestants in this game. (Operative word here: game!) Everyone is in it to win a half million. They will pretty much do whatever it takes to get their hands on that much money. Hell, they might even sign up for a reality TV show!!! Amanda...Evel Dick...not seeing much difference there. Helen and "Wamber" (Amber) the crier. Both as annoying. Rachel and Elissa...equally nerve wrackingly annoying. Every season has it's share of wackos, if I may. Yes, it's about ratings! If it were a cast full of dull, boring people would you watch? Perhaps BB has run it's course as every television show eventually does. They run out of ideas, it gets old. But to blame it entirely on racism and bullying is not fair. (God, I sound like Aaryn). If you don't like the way the show is going, change the channel! Simple as that! Survivor airs soon. You can still catch The Real World on Hulu Plus if you need that reality fix. It's television, people, but keep in mind, it's real live people too. Leave their families alone. Get a life. If BB15 bothers you so much that you have to stoop to bullying the families of the cast -- there, I said it -- find something else to do with your life. Read a book!

You are right , I/ we will shut up now before we ruin a cool show, thanks for the reality check.
August 27, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterSteve
This is probably the least important place to say this, but I really have a problem with the way Candice and Howard were treated this season. I'm glad that the racist crew were unable to get both of them out before jury.

There is just no way that any of this is ok. It's not just a game. It is money, and as CBS states, it is an experiment. This year it went terribly wrong. There are plenty of people who aren't on medications that connect to mental stability that could be cast. Why cast someone with known problems in this sort of experiment? Why cast people -- and remember it goes back to David -- who already have a negative attitude toward others before they have met them based on something that they can't control e.i. skin color.

I hope the show gets canceled and all of the racists and homophobes lose their jobs and this website lies dormant.

can someone fill me in on what the "various live feed controversies" are referring to ?? i can see one being from around the beginning when Aaryn was making the racist comments. Other than that, im confused, lol !! plz let me know on here or my email Mdenny7786@gmail.com. TY
