The Night Owl

Most of the feed action today happened during the day.  Not a lot of game related events happened overnight.

Early in the day Amanda went up as the MVP nomination.  This inspired the usual level of paranoia from her.  She went to pretty much everyone in the house and talked about still being convinced that Judd was the MVP and was the one that nominated her.  There were some arguments between she and McCrae about who would use the veto on her and who wouldn't.  Aaryn did not want her to come off the block because she felt she would go up (likely correct), but Amanda wanted the veto to be used on her even if GinaMarie won it.  Shortly after the tiffs, the veto started.

When the feeds came back from trivia we learned that Judd had technically won the competition, but it was the "White Elephant gift exchange" comp, so he decided to take $5k and let Jessie keep the veto she was already holding.  Apparently there were some major fireworks between Candice and Amanda during the veto competition after Candice told Judd that Amanda thinks and has been telling everyone that he is the MVP.  Judd quickly did some damage control with various people telling them that he was definitely not the MVP, and talks went on in the HOH of putting up Spencer as the replacement nom when Jessie pulls herself off.  Elissa made it clear she still wanted to vote Spencer out and keep Candice if that happened, so for a while there was talk of Elissa going up as the replacement.  Helen and Amanda quickly made sure that would not happen though, and now everyone is back to Spencer going up with Candice still being the target.

Along with the prizes (Judd's $5k and Spencer's trip to the Bahamas) there were plenty of punishments given out in this veto.

GinaMarie gets to wear a Cone Of Shame dog collar for 48 hours.

Candice will be wearing a clown suit for the rest of the week.

And Amanda won a "50 Shades Of Orange" mystic tan punishment that requires her to go be sprayed with orange tan each time the command comes over the speakers.

After all punishments were given out, there was a lull for a while until an alcohol delivery tonight.  For a while the HGs have been planning the next 2 booze deliveries to be bachelor and bachelorette parties.  Tonight was the bachelor party.  None of the girls got to drink, which brought fits from both Elissa and Amanda, but the boys enjoyed themselves and drank several bottles of wine and a few beers each.   This prompted a lot of silliness.

Andy decided to learn how to smoke cigarettes.

And Judd continued to try to convince Amanda that he is not the MVP...with a good buzz going.

All of the girls except for Aaryn and Amanda played volley ball outside for a while, and the boys ran around pulling various pranks on people and just having a good time in general.

The only game talk I really saw occur came when Helen pulled Elissa into the storage room to talk about votes.  Helen told her she MUST vote out Candice even though she doesn't want to.  Elissa insisted that she would rather see Spencer or Amanda go.  She attempted to count up votes they could get with Helen, but Helen told her no, that it could not happen this week and Candice was going anyway.

I am doubting we will see a whole lot of game this week unless these people get smart enough to realize that booting Candice would be a waste of an HOH when they have a chance to get rid of a stronger social player, but I really don't think that will happen.  All I can hope for is a few more "keeping it real with Candy" sessions to spice things up a bit so that this week doesn't turn out completely dull.  As always, you guys can follow me on twitter @ashes2ashes13 for more overnight feed updates.  Until tomorrow night...

Is't it funny how Ellisa has become a floater since the MVP thing went to america's vote? She waits to be told who to vote for and any opinion she has is promptly squashed by queenhelen. What a dope. If she was smart (and we know she's not) get some votes together and get rid of Amanda and take over the house. But sadly she's not a gamer and just is along for the TV ride. #weaksauce

Elissa needs to go next time, BB fans!!

Stop the madness with Amanda; how boring would it be without her?! I don't particularly like her, but at least she keeps things interesting! Amanda does all of McCrae's dirty work, so he doesn't have 'blood' on his hands. Elissa is boring. Just sayin'!!!!!

Helen did broach the idea of voting Amanda out 'soon' to Elissa around 12:25 this morning. Just the idea that Helen is sharing the thought with Helen to me means shes starting to think of the end game. Amada and McCrae are the two people in her way of winning this thing I think.

Wow, a guest finally thinking about endgame (making final 4 agreements not really counting). A bit later coming to Helen. If they really were thinking, they would be breaking up the last power couple, pushing out Amanda this week, and McCrae an hour later.

That's a real problem now, with the fixation on hard bodies and rigging showmances (Chen's comment to Howard about a showmance was so absurd, how did she deliver it with a straight face?) that there is almost no strategy anymore. My gosh, these people make Der Brigade look like geniuses (at least they had a new strategy that worked but hasn't been copied successfully since).

I bet GM thinks Amanda getting spray tans is a prize and not a punishment. Watching the show now and GM looks as orange as the Oompa Loompas on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

It's time for Elissa to go. She is making me crazy. Love the show! And Colette (although I love Judd) I love your blog!
