The Night Owl

Well, it's been a long night.  We watched the first double eviction of the season go down, and while the drama was very high and entertaining, I was also extremely sad to see my very favorite person in the house walk out the door.

When the feeds returned after the show, Amanda and Helen had already begun to game hard again.  They were exchanging stories to Jessie and Aaryn and Spencer and anyone else who would listen about how "Bad" Judd was and how he was a liar and had to go etc..   Alternately, McCrae and Andy were crying and McCrae was second guessing his decision.  When McCrae got a moment alone with Spencer, Spencer told him "I don't know what all this other crap going around about Judd is, but he always told me he was loyal to you and Amanda and Andy.".  This later spawned a conversation between Amanda and McCrae where McCrae told her that he did not actually believe that Judd was up to all the stuff she was claiming he was, and he felt like this was a really bad game move for him to get rid of one of his allies.  DING DING DING!!

Shortly after the feeds had come back, they went to trivia again so the next HOH comp could be played.  Surprise! Andy won!!  I was actually really shocked by the fact that he won, but unfortunately it's disappointing (in my opinion anyway) because it means this will be  ANOTHER freaking week of doing what "the house" wants...meaning what Amanda and Helen want.   Amanda has already told Andy to put up Spencer and Jessie and make Jessie the target.  If one of them wins veto Amanda wants GinaMarie to go up. Andy has agreed to all of this. ...*snore*

Amanda had a meltdown (surprise!) and a small fight with McCrae because she did not win the HOH comp and she blames him for beating her out.  It sounds like it was one of those games where you play against each other and then the last people standing battle it out.  From what I understand the last pairing came down to Andy and McCrae.  Andy then got to choose have-nots, but people volunteered, so he didn't have to choose.  Have-nots ended up being Elissa, Helen, Aaryn, and GinaMarie.

There was a lot more talk between various HGs over the course of the night, but very little of it had to do with game.  Most of it was either sadness over Judd being gone or just talk of how stressful the double eviction was.  Aaryn got her HOH basket. Andy got his HOH room. He got an old fingernail that fell off when he was a kid and his teeth in his HOH basket.  I'm not kidding. They got alcohol and Helen smoked a celebratory cigarette and trumpeted on and on about Andy being "America's HOH" right now. blah..blah...blah..

I expect we will see Spencer and Jessie put on the block this morning.  It should be a fairly uneventful day and week really since there is no longer and MVP or third nomination, and not even a have-not comp.  Even if one of the people on the block wins veto, a predictable nom is going up in their place.

I have a lot of questions in my head this week.  Why oh WHY won't they take a swing at Aaryn? With 3 HOH wins and a veto win only halfway through the season, why not go after her when they KNOW she can play HOH again this coming week?  They all thought Howard and Judd were "the most dangerous players in the game", but for some reason no one will take a swing at Aaryn the comp monster or Helen or Amanda who have been running every HOH via manipulation since the season started.  I don't get it!

I also want to know what Julie means with all her cryptic tweets about reset buttons and her comment to the HGs during the live show that "this year going to jury does not necessarily mean you are out of the game.".  It could be something totally stupid, OR (and I'm afraid to even hope) it COULD mean one of the evicted HGs will get to come back into the game.  He was one of the only people I was actually entertained by while watching the late night feeds.

Outside of pondering  twists and why this cast REFUSES to shake things up or make a move, the only thing left to do is wait until all the outsiders are voted out so we can actually see who will get who first when it comes down to Helen and Elissa vs McCrae and Amanda.

As always, you guys can follow me on twitter @ashes2ashes13 for more overnight feed updates.  Until tomorrow night...

I'm happy for Andy's HOH win. I would loooooove it if he put up Jessie/Spencer & one of them win POV, forcing Andy to possibly back door either GM or Elissa. Time for some of the floaters to start getting picked off. Elissa is only still there because of Helen; she just hides in the background mmmmhmmm'ing and cleaning the kitchen. Hoping it isn't an uneventful week & Andy shakes things up a bit. Last night when Judd was backdoored, I was hoping Julie would inform them (before or after eviction) that Judd wasn't the evil genius nor did he ever have MVP like Helen & Amanda thought. Now THAT would've made some of them think.....maybe have an original thought and not continue to have decisions made FOR them. I continue to hope that Andy and McCrae are F2, no special reason other than I don't want Helen or Amanda there AT ALL. Aaryn's strengths in winning competitions should scare them somewhat, but it could be pretty interesting if the girls come together (for the first time EVER), and systematically take out the last 3 guys. If that happened, I would want to see Helen & Amanda as F2 with Helen winning with a unanimous jury vote. McCrae is a genius player, who has zero blood on his hands as Amanda & Helen continue to take the heat for most of HIS ideas (he DID seen genuinely upset last nite about Judd, tho, but he also knows Judd will get to see some footage, so he could have been pretending to secure Judd's jury vote.....)!! Love the blog; keep up the good work!! 👍

I'm going to put it out there: I like Amanda. However I like McRae way more and have been rooting for him since day one. I think getting Judd out of the house was not a good game move for him at all. If you count the votes though it was impossible to get the estrogen filled part of the house to keep him. Andy (yay HOH), McRae and Spencer couldn't save him. Like you Ash I hope that Judd does get to come back into the game. I hope he teams up with McRae, Spencer and Andy and that becomes the final 4. Alas, hope and BB don't always go hand in hand. I said it last night and I'll say it again; it should've been Jessie. I think Helen the puppet master isn't concerned with Aaryn's wins because she does as she commanded or threatened. Eventually Aaryn might wise up and realize that while she was at their mercy before she now can do what she wants if she wins again. She's won more comps than anyone else. Does she not realize that? Sorry this was a long early morning rant. Keep hope Ash there may still be room for it this season.

I definitely don't want another glitter Gary situation.

Scott, I've only been watching since season 9 and glitter Gary doesn't ring a bell. Care to elaborate for me?

Why oh why didn't Julie tell them about America being MVP?! It could have saved Judd! I'm so sad :( But I do have a glimmer of hope that Judd will come back in some sort of twist. I can't believe Aaryn is still such a puppet. This was her chance to do something meaningful and she blew it by evicting a guy who would have kept her for many more weeks. How many times can she let the house threaten her with "You will go home next week if you don't do this..."??

I can't imagine anyone liking Amanda. Do you like Hitler too?

Glitter Gary was on Big Brother Canada, which just recently happened. He was voted back into the house, and then proceeded to make it to the final two. He would have won the game had a jury member named Topaz not made a mistake voting.

Please don't cheer for Amanda. It makes you look bad.

Thanks Ryan for the explanation on glitter Gary.
But...
Did you seriously just compare liking a Jewish competitor on a game show to liking Hitler? That seems a tad harsh to me.

Yeah, I liked Amanda for the first 30 seconds of the game. Now she's the pushiest most obnoxious house guest ever. Worse than Evel Dick at his worst. Would have loved for McCrae to vote her out. She's going to drag him down if he doesn't cut her loose. BUT - she's going to win and the rest of the house guests are going to hand it to her - - because they do everything she demands of them and every decision being made in the house is what is best for Amanda and her uber paranoia.

Catty - Judd did tell the house guests that he wasn't MVP. Over and over. No one believed him though after hearing Amanda's incessant "I am 99.99% positive Judd is MVP."

I was initially happy that Adam won HOH as he could no longer be everyone's friend. But - Spencer and Jessie are on the periphery of his "circle" so they would be the most logical choice for him to put up. He doesn't have the balls for an Amanda-Helen nomination. So hoping McRae will have enough of her and support a movement to backdoor Amanda. At some point.

No Ryan, slamming other commenters makes you look bad. I thought this was America where we are all free to express our opinions, not Communist Russia or China where you are told how to think or else... Please respect others, that's how it works on this site.

I too am so saddened to see J U DD go, he was one of the few HG I could cheer on. I wanted him to make it all the way to the end and if he didn't win, get Favorite HG.

I'm with those that wish Julie had told them about America being MVP, then J U DD would still be there. Maybe he will come back in and that's why Julie didn't give out too much info to the evictees or HG as it still effects the future of the game.

Catty: So happy for Andy too, another of my favs , glad he is safe. I too want to see Jessie and Elissa out next as well. All they do is whine about HG they like getting voted out but neither has the ability to make any moves and just "votes with the house". BORING go cook and bake in Jury with Candice.
Regarding Aaryan, She is waking up to the fact that she is the one doing all the heavy lifting in her Alliance with McManda and Andy. She was talking about it to Spencer last night. She was alluding to the fact that she's getting all the Blood on her hands, taking out people that weren't coming after her, and will most likely be dropped at the end. So we shall see where that goes.

For all the edited TV time showing McCrae getting annoyed with Damanda, at night she gives him some sex and he's back in harness, so I don't expect him to turn on her. Helen would need to stop lecturing and actually make a move (novel concept for her), and Aaryn to finally stop knifing for others and start to actually play for herself. I still don't like her as a person, but she needs to start playing for HER game, not Demanda's.

I'm guessing America (aka production) will get to vote on who to return to the house, which is why Judd was left tarred as the suspected MVP. Maybe AG thinks it will make a better story for Demanda to get so full of herself as "America's favorite" that the fall will be so much more dramatic.

And let's not forget we still have the idiotic zingbot, pandora's box, and (wait for it) Jessie to bring in. Be still my beating heart...
