The Night Owl

Well, we can always count on Elissa to bring the crazy.  I've said it before and I will say it again, there is NO working with Elissa because she flips on whims all the time and you never know when it's coming.  I could explain to you all the ins and outs of Amanda's campaigning toda, but none of that really matters since it was all the same old "broken record" stuff and really didn't matter...much anyway.  BUT, things DID get a little crazy tonight.

After Elissa had some wine she suddenly pulled Amanda into the cockpit and told her that she wants to keep her and be in an alliance with Amanda, McCrae, and Andy.  Now of course, naturally, at first I thought Elissa was just pulling one last stunt to poke at Amanda, but it turns out....she is ACTUALLY serious.  Andy came into the cockpit conversation and Elissa told him what she thought and how she wanted to work with the three of them and get out Judd and GinaMare and Spencer.  The look on Andy's face was priceless!!

The good news is, whatever you think of Andy, he isn't a moron and he knows the deal.  He knows you cannot work with Elissa and he knows he cannot go to the end with a couple like Amanda and McCrae.  He waited things out as Elissa and Amanda talked in the rainbow room about how Elissa is on board 100% and Amanda is definitely staying, and McCrae sat outside where Judd and Spencer were.  Once he had a chance to talk to Spencer and Judd alone outside, he immediately told them that Elissa is trying to flip the house on them, but there is no way in HELL he will vote to keep Amanda no matter what.  They then set forward the plan that Andy will have to blame his screwy vote on Elissa so that McCrae still goes after Elissa in the double eviction rather than going after one of the Exterminators alliance members.

Amanda then talked to Andy and told him to feel it out and make sure it's real.  She has her hopes back up and thinks she is probably staying.  Andy went ahead and started planting seeds that if the vote didn't come ot the way it should, it would be because Elissa is nuts.  Amanda told Andy that she told Elissa the only way she will believe her is if she gives her her wedding ring as collateral.  I'm not sure if Elissa actually agreed to that or not.  Andy then told Amanda he would continue to feel her out and see if he could figure out if she was serious or not.

Then it was time to fill in GinaMarie.  While Judd kept Amanda and McCrae distracted in the bathroom downstairs, and they thought Andy was in the DR, he went upstairs and told GinaMarie (with Spencer) what was going on.  GinaMarie agreed to break the tie and send Amanda packing no matter what happens.  Spencer of course started getting nervous, but Andy assured him that there is no way that he or Judd will waver at all on their votes.

Andy then went back outside with Judd and Spencer to talk to them more about what was going on and how they were going to move forward with their alliance.  The four of them are now pretty solidly focused on getting Elissa out instead of McCrae in the upcoming double if they can.  Judd told Andy and Spencer about Elissa's weird flip when she was HOH from wanting Aaryn out to wanting to BD Amanda as soon as she left the DR, and he is convinced that the DR is talking to her again this week and trying to get her to flip the house.  I personally wouldn't doubt it.  Production does like to play with the storyline. Andy has told everyone in The Exterminators that no matter what the MUST act normal and pretend the don't know what is going on since if one of them tips off Amanda or Elisssa, they will know that he was the one that told and their alliance will be screwed during the DE if McCrae or Elissa get power. They all agreed to play dumb.

Everything is winding down now and The Exterminators are all still discussing how to handle the Elissa thing.  If Elissa keeps on with her quest to keep Amanda, this coming DE will be even more interesting than we thought because Amanda will be blindsided when the vote comes to a tie.   So there it is, a mostly boring night made interesting once again by alcohol.  We shall see how this all plays out in the next 2 days before eviction.  Whichever way it goes it should still be interesting.  Oh, did I forget to mention that Spencer was put on the block as the replacement nom when McCrae came off?  As always, you guys can follow me on twitter @ashes2ashes13 for more overnight feed updates.  Until tomorrow night..

Does it bother anyone else that one of the 4 sheep who have done absolutely nothing in this game except what other people told them to do are going to win this game. This has definitely been the season of the floater and it disturbs me as a fan of the game. An even worse thought is a final 4 of GM, Andy, Spencer & Judd is so horrible that watching will be almost painful. The only solice is that the final live show will be so awesome to watch them go at it and to see the faces of Aaryn, Amanda, GM, & even Spencer when they find out how they may not have jobs left on the outside world for their actions inside the house. I am not disappointed overall on how the season has gone, more so of the fact that at this point it looks like a "floater" will win this season. Rachel will be so disappointed.

I agree Bill J. As I am not a fan of Amanda at all, she at least is playing the game. Elissa too. She won the comps when needed and is always thinking. Andy is a rat plain and simple. Zingbot was right!!! He is a floater. He floats to the power. If Amanda or McCrae won HOH last week he would have been with them. I'm hoping that Elissa DOES manage to keep Amanda and they all go after his stupid exterminator alliance. Especially Andy!!!! He needs to be outed badly!!! Ugh!!!!

I've always been annoyed by Rachel's anger towards floaters and how it's riled up the BB fanbase. I have no problems with floaters. It's a valid strategy. However, there's a difference between floating as a strategy and floating with no other purpose than to stay in the game. The only floater who deserves to win is Andy. He's been playing the game.

And as for Elissa, this is further proof that she's nuts and she has no mind of her own. She does whatever production or the voices in her head tells her. All of the fans that hate Amanda so much but love Elissa should be up in arms that Elissa is trying to save her. Will we hear a peep about their outrage toward Elissa? I doubt it. They'll just complain that the game is rigged. Well, that would mean that Elissa is complicit in it. Which isn't shocking since she's the one this game has been manipulated for since day one, and who has the ear of production.

I agree with you Ben, floating is a valid and sometimes really effective strategy, as shown by Andy. The exterminators by themselves are not big players, but together they have come to realize that they have the numbers. And that any of them could win if it came down to the final four. Its the smartest thing any of them have done all game, especially GM.

Hey, did anyone catch what GM said outside about Elissa's son? It happened just after 3PM. After getting all fired up, she says about Elissa's son (paraphrasing): “First of all that kid looks like a f*cking Spanish Puerto Rican little dirt f*cking. There is no way that white guy is her kids dad.”

I've heard a lot of terrible things. This was shocking.
September 3, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterChuckleberry Finn
This just goes to show how ignorant GM really is. Obviously her son is not just white. He is a handsome little boy. Since Elissa and her husband just got married and her son is 8 years old doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out her son is not her husbands'. I am sick of GM's ignorance. She was moving forward and now she has taken lots of steps backwards. A racist can hide their true feelings for a little while but eventually playing hide and seek gets seeked out.

I THOUGHT HE WAS HER STEP SON??
September 3, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterAMY
Amy the child IS Elissa's stepson. Just shows how ignorant and racist GM really is. She may have made a big move but she's still an uneducated bigot. Look how many times she tried to say "dynamic". And said "no POINT intended" instead of saying PUN. She's an idiot and so immature at 31 years old. It's a shame that most of these HGs take it to a personal level when they don't get their way. Andy calling Elissa a bitch bc she wants to target Andy??? So does that mean Andy is a bastard for wanting Elissa out?! It's hypocritical.
September 3, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterDoc
Actually, the 8 year old is Elissa's child from a previous relationship. Her husband has two older children (not sure of their ages).

I know the season is almost over, but if Amanda goes out on Thursday and then Elissa goes out with the DE, all the conspiracy theorists will have to find something else to talk about.
September 3, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterBeth
The best thing about this season has been the blindsiding, especially putting Amanda / McCrae on the block together this week. Another good blindside would be seeing Andy go out second this Thursday with DE. It just seems nobody is deserving of the win this season on gameplay. Elissa and GM have made big moves in the game that have made it interesting to watch, but neither has the personality to win over the majority of the fans (that fans will be happy they won). I know Elissa had Rachel's fan base at the beginning, but do you actually think that those fans are still there?
September 3, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterZoe
Oh, the Elissa fans are still many. Some civil and some not so much. I personally don't enjoy her, but she does have many fans.

People get mad when I say this, but I think Andy has been playing the best game out of pretty much everyone there. He isn't my favorite HG to watch (that would be Judd) but he has played a really good game IMO. He stuck with Am/Mc for as long as he needed to and then jumped ship when he knew he had to. He has managed to stay off virtually everyone's radar (except occasionally Elissa's) for most of the game. As far as big moves, sure he didn't nominate anyone huge and send them packing, but he did help orchestrate Amanda's eviction, and has a plan (if it all goes well) to get out Elissa and McCrae too. That's pretty big from behind the scenes. Amanda is considered a HUGE player by many, and she made all her plays from downstairs as well. She never won the HOH crown. The difference between the two is that Andy was able to make his moves and still make sure that everyone liked him. His manipulation is subtle, but it works. That's just my opinion. I think if Andy made it to the F2 he would have a strong case against pretty much anyone.

Well here we go again. Just when I was beginning to think and hope that GM had removed herself of those awful raciest comments.....there she goes. After her departing remarks to candice I should of known better! I Children are born colorblind. They learn from their families and environments. Maybe someday she will be on the receiving end and may learn a lesson the hard way. I kinda feel sorry for her but I do wish her well.

I don't watch the feeds but read all of your articles here and check out a few other sites. Sounds like perhaps the dreaded Pandora's Box has made an appearance today? If so, of course GM will open it. Ugh, if that is the case the conspiracy theorist in me says this is yet another attempt at producer manipulation! I swear they are going to find a way to keep Amanda and Elissa until the bitter end! Thoughts anybody?

i am struggling with being back to work today & trying to remember what day it is, then i read Ash's night owl. WTF Elissa (Amanda)! WTF GM (don't go after a kid). I also was reading a bit on jokers update with Spencer making NASTY comments to Judd about Jessie &aaryn...ICK!

Ash, your comment about Andy is really interesting especially if he makes it to the final 2.

If Amanda indeed goes, WWJCD (what will julie chen do)?
September 3, 2013 | Unregistered Commentermjude
There's been no Pandora.
September 3, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterScott
The latest on the unlikely pairing of Elissa and Amanda is this - like Ash said, last night Amanda came to her with an appeal to stay. She pointed out that Spencer and others want her out next, and reminded her that she did help save her the second week. There was a funny response there, though, as Elissa said even if she had been evicted, she would have been brought back. (Cue the conspiracies!) At that time, Elissa ran out to inform everybody of that conversation, and they all had a good laugh.

Then something strange happened. Elissa went to the diary room, and an hour later she was suddenly for something that she was previously against. Andy was brought into it, as Ash said, but he was suspicious.

The question then became what Elissa would do today, but she has been working for Amanda. He seems to be in favor of the idea, but some who have watched the feeds ore intently than me has stated that he's just saying that so he can set up Elissa on Thursday night.

Again, there is no Pandora. Everbody slept most of the day, and now GinaMarie is doing her favorite thing about being HOH - taking pictures.
September 3, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterScott
A bit of a typo there - I meant to say that Andy is acting like he's in favor of saving Amanda, who has exchanged jewelry with Elissa as "collateral".
September 3, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterScott
Yeah, many hours were spent last night with Andy, Judd, Spencer, and GinaMarie talking about how to go about framing Elissa's vote to make it look like Andy was the one who voted for Amanda to stay in order to keep McCrae focused on getting Elissa out. And told them that in order for it to work, today and this week he will have to plant seeds like "I'm going to do this, but if Elissa is screwing me over I'm going to be pissed". So that is why he is acting in favor of it today. Andy went on several really long rants last night about how he is not stupid enough to keep a couple in the house and will not be voting to keep Amanda. He also talked about how angry he was about Elissa being so headstrong against Amanda and then suddenly getting DR ideas and throwing a wrench in the plan.

Today he has talked with the other Exterminators about the idea of just outing their alliance to Am/Mc and telling them there is nothing they can do to stop Amanda from leaving, but that idea was squashed almost immediately when they realized that meant McCrae and Elissa would join forces against them before the DE. I don't think there is any way Andy will vote to keep Amanda though unless something insane happens between now and Thursday.

Glad to hear there's apparently been no Pandora. I read on another site that GM was called to HOH by production, went in and started clapping or cheering or something like that. My mind just went directly to something like Pandora. I know what Ash had said about last night, and I saw a bit of that on BB After Dark. Again, it was the conspiracy theorist in me that went to work figuring that between Elissa "all of a sudden" seemingly out of nowhere having the idea to save Amanda (right after leaving the DR, yeah right but no connection there!) and then the GM thing today that made me think, well, what I thought. But there are still two days until Thursday, so I wouldn't put it past production to come up with something. I mean come on, you've got to know the BB producers probably don't want Amanda to leave, because the feeds will be somewhat boring, right? But the rest of the house must get Amanda out, no matter what!!! Thanks for all you guys do on this site, always enjoyable!
September 3, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterPat
The best chance of getting rid of Elissa seems to me to get her out on the DE. Otherwise production will likely play Pandora's Box to save her. They can't give production time to script things.
September 3, 2013 | Unregistered Commenterlmb02
I hope to God in the next two days that Andy gets outed about his sneakiness. He's just as bad as any other bully in there. He keeps saying "I hate that bitch" etc etc. ugh!!!! He has to go. Hoping Elissa wins HOH in DE. Send the rat out!!!
September 3, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterDoc
Let's just hope Amanda gets evicted Thursday nite, then mcCrae gets the DE, then Elissa gets evicted next week and that will solve everything. Andy is a fip-flopped. You could tell tonite on after hours he was just dying to tell Amanda & Mccrae anything he heard and poor Judd was getting more pissed by the minute just having to listen to them. If it is rigged for Elissa CBS will lose a lot of viewers.
