The Night Owl - weds night

HOUSE MEETING!

I could tell you about all the really unimportant inane things that happened in the house tonight, but I will try to keep those things short and sweet since what you really need to know about is the house meeting called by Devin.

Most of the day and night was pretty mundane and typical with a lot of musings between various groups about what they would do if they won HOH on Thursday.  Joey campaigned a little bit but to no avail.

Zach picked the brain of quite a few of the girls to see who their targets were.  Since his plans are to throw the coming HOH competition, I believe he was trying to insure he is completely safe before throwing the competition.

Caleb continued to obsess about Amber all day and ALMOST all night long...

But then, a mere hour before time for the Have-Nots to have their feast of food, all hell broke loose.  I'm not entirely sure how Devin started talking about a house meeting or how the whole Amber and Caleb thing started coming to a head because I took a momentary feed break.  But when I came back to the feeds, Devin was talking about calling a house meeting because of his guilt, Amber was crying in the bathroom with Paola and Jocasta talking to her about what Devin said about her, and Frankie was explaining to Caleb how Amber had absolutely no idea what has been going on.  He told him that she didn't in fact talk about him and say that he was self centered or any of the things that Devin told Caleb she said about him.

Then Frankie convinced Amber to go and talk to Caleb.  Everything actually went very well. Amber explained that she had no ill will toward Caleb and had no idea that he had been told she was talking about him.  Caleb spilled his guts like an awkward middle schooler and let go of what I think is about a weeks worth of tension.  By the end of the conversation they were laughing and talking about competitions.  I don't know that Caleb will ever actually "get it" that Amber doesn't want to be with him...but I think he at least feels better. Maybe he will talk about something else in between going on about Amber now.

Meanwhile, Devin started by first going to Donny and telling him that he alone was responsible for Donny being put on the block and becoming the target.  He admitted to Donny that Caleb didn't want to put him up, but that he thought Donny wasn't who he said he was.  He cried and told Donny he felt terrible about it because he wanted to be an example for his daughter (bet ya didn't see that one coming).  Donny graciously accepted his apology and told him that there were no hard feelings at all.

Then Devin called a house meeting!

Devin started out by crying immediately.  He told the HGs that he came in the house to be an example for his daughter (omg I know) and play a clean game blah blah blah.  He then told them all that he was the sole reason Donny had been on the block and been a target.  He said through tears that it breaks his heart to think that he thought that about Donny because Donny is the kindest and gentlest man. Donny, Amber, and Caleb were not present at the meeting, but the HGs who were gave Devin a round of applause after his speech.  Then Devin went and hid in the HOH bathroom to sob.

For a good while this is all we saw of Devin:

And while Devin was getting all the tears out, many of the other HGs including Frankie, Zach, Christine, Cody, Derrick, and Victioria were celebrating the fact that he basically just made himself the biggest target in the house and made it easy for them to get rid of him next week provided he doesn't win HOH.

Shortly after all the madness was over and done with, it was time for the have nots to become haves again and feast! And they did.

After the Have Not feast Zach and Frankie relayed to Caleb everything Devin had said to Donny and the things that he said in the house meeting. Caleb agreed that Devin is now a liability to their alliance. And he talked about Amber some.. of course.

Then Frankie, Cody, and Derrick had a conversation in the Hive Room where they re-confirmed that Devin needs to go next if they can get him out.  Their concern of course is who to put him up against in the Battle of the Block competition.  Their plan as of now is to try and get him put up with Paola so that he is crippled in the BOB competition or to put someone up with him that will throw the competition and sit next to him on the block and fight for veto.

Paola, Brittany, Jocasta and Amber also had a long discussion about getting Devin out next. They all seemed to feel he should probably be backdoored.

It was a pretty eventful night and definitely worth some flashbacks if you have the feeds.  Joey is still going home tonight, but the battle for HOH just got a lot more interesting.  If Devin wins HOH this week and his nominees lose Battle of the Block the week will likely just be more trying to get out weaker players, but if anyone else wins, it's likely that Devin will be the target.  And from what we have all seen so far, I don't see him going down quietly or going down without a fight.

I'm excited to see what happens tonight. I feel like the game is really starting now! The strategy talks and competition wins this week/weekend should make things interesting!  That's pretty much it.  Everything else that happened was just run of the mill house stuff.  As always you guys can follow me on twitter @ashes2ashes13 for more overnight feed updates.  Until tomorrow night...
