Waiting For Thursday - Alliances Firming Up.

Tuesday has arrived in the house and frankly we are all now just sitting around waiting for Thursday.  I don't see a major change coming so Monet should be out the door then and a lot of alliances will be broken or solidified based on who wins the next HoH.

Here is a quick run down of each HG and where they seem to be to be aligned:

Andrew: I'm not even sure.  Closest ally is probably Brendon. I think he thinks he is in tight with Brendon AND Rachel - not sure Rachel feels that way.

Brendon: Clearly in tight with Rachel.  Andrew might also be close.  Kathy via Rachel and Kristen via Rachel as well.

Britney: Doesn't really have anyone in the house - Monet wil be out on Thursday - Enzo and Lane have been the nicest to her the last couple days but they would vote her out tomorrow over most other HGs.

Enzo: The 'Brigade' seems to have lost some power this week - and he is considered a bit of a loose cannon - several times his co-Brigade members have talked about him needing to go out.  In good with Britney so if she gets HoH he will be safe for sure.

Hayden: I have to say at this point his closest ally is probably Kristen.  The Brigade might be #2 - but it looks to me like the two 'couples' might form an alliance depending on how the next HoH goes.

Kathy: Has gotten really tight with Rachel (and thus Brendon) the last few days - sleeping with her nightly in the HoH room.  Its been noticed by the other HGs and may hurt any other alliances she thought she had.

Kristen: Hayden and Rachel appear to be Kristen's two closest allies.  Last week Hayden had suggested bringing her in with the "Brigade"and that might still happen depending on the next HoH.

Lane: Besides the "Brigade" - Lane doesn't seem to have any strong alliance - although Hayden has implied to him that he thinks the two of them would be a strong alliance.  Like Enzo, Hayden has been nice to Money and Britney so if Britney gets HoH he would be safe - yet he also would most likely vote her out over a lot of other HGs.

Matt: Another "Brigade" member, he may consider this his strongest alliance, but he and Ragan have also been talking a lot and seem to be aligned pretty strongly.  Matt has said Andrew has it out for him, why I don't know.  Rachel is concerned he might be using his 'pawn' nomination for sympathy with the others.

Monet: Done.  Britney is her only ally.  If she doesn't leave Thursday I will be dumbfounded.

Rachel: Brendon is obviously her closest ally.  Then would have to be Kathy after the last few days.  She also considers Kathy (and maybe Hayden) an ally and Ragan she looks to for advice (but I don't think Ragan trusts her or wants to be aligned with her).  Her over confidence this week is getting to some but I think others consider Brendon more of a danger of the "Brenchel" couple.

Ragan: I think his only real close ally is Matt - he is friendly towards several HGs and I had seen him as more of a floater until he talked to Matt yesterday and talked about how the house alliances are still shifting.  He had seemed to be close to Rachel but after her actions the last 24 hours by proclaiming she had secured the votes to evict Monet during the POV ceremony, he thinks she is putting a huge target on herself and wants to keep his distance.

I am sure I missed a lot - feel free to comment - but that's kind of where things stand.  Again, a lot will come down to the next HoH.  If anyone but Britney wins HoH - and targets Britney - I think it will be a huge mistake.  A 'strong' player, or perhaps I should say someone who has strong alliances, would be the person I would go after if I were to win HoH.

The Brigade

MattSee that guy over there to the right? Yeah, that's Matt. Remember who the HOH is?  It's Hayden - that hunky hunk of a man I seriously drooled over pre-season.  They're two of the four members of The Brigade.  Lane, the mini chunkster from Texas, makes up the third member and Enzo, the overly paranoid Jersey boy, rounds out the group.

This all-male self-named alliance seems to have things all figured out for the next few weeks.  The original plan was to get rid of Brendon but since Brendon won the POV, they had to come up with a new one.  Originally, they were just going to work on getting rid of Rachel (the other nominee) by putting Kathy up as a pawn.  Hayden though wasn't really comfortable with the plan and has decided to backdoor somebody instead.

Enter Annie.  The overly matted makeup one has been getting around the house and people have taken notice - especially The Brigade.  They're not comfortable watching her buzzing around the house and getting up in everybody's business.  They have every right to be worried too.  Annie's playing the game hard and obvious.  If I had to pick who I would compare her to from other seasons I'd say she was a cross between Brian (remember him?) and Ronnie.  Yes, that Ronnie.

Brendon, Rachel, Britney, and Monet all know about the plan are onboard with it.  Remember that this week it takes six votes to evict somebody (or five votes and Hayden's tiebreaker vote).  Rachel has promised Hayden safety until Week 7 if she stays this week.  So that combined with the uneasiness many feel towards Annie (some thinks she's the saboteur as well) makes it seem likely that Annie will be put up in Brendon's place (he won POV remember) and voted out on Thursday's live show.  But remember, things could change at the drop of a dime.

Britney told Annie about the plan late last night and Annie got upset about it.  Annie blamed her tears on half of her family not signing waivers so that she could discuss them on the feeds but it was really the shock of finding out she's being targeted so early on in the game.  She also blamed her tears on PMS but whatever.

In other news, Andrew is becoming more human.  He actually had a decent talk with Hayden up in the HOH room yesterday but Hayden was only pretending to listen.  However, Hayden did tell Andrew how upset Angie was at the head in the crotch under the blanket incident and how she's been running all over the house talking about it ever since.  Hayden told Andrew that he should apologize to her and try to clear the air.  Andrew did later apologize to Annie and she accepted his apology.  I wasn't feelin' it though.  Especially when she later ran around to everybody exaggerating the whole apology as a confrontation instead.

Andrew also opened up about his Judaism practices and the Sabbath in the cabana room to a crowd of about six.  There were a lot of good questions from people about what he can and can't do.  Annie (yes, her again) and Enzo were pretty antagonistic about their questions though.  Andrew could have become very defensive about it but was very cool-headed and good-natured towards them.

And now for some miscellany.  Rachel talked about her first kiss with Brendon to Matt and Britney.  Matt created the term 'Brenchel' for them (gag me already!).  Monet and Britney are becoming quite the catty queens with Kathy as their sickly sidekick.  Perk up Kathy, you're sooo freaking boring!  Enzo is going to give himself a heart attack (and others) with his constant pacing and paranoia.  Hayden, Lane, and Annie had some new clothes delivered to them by Big Brother as some of the stuff they'd brought with them were not acceptable for the camera (blacks, whites, patterns, stripes, logos, etc).  Hayden told Kristen about the backdoor Annie plan (even though he told his fellow Brigade members he wouldn't) super late last night.  But that's because Hayden has a bit of a crush on Kristen.  hehe

Well the hamsters are getting up and beginning to move about for the day so it's time for me to go for now.  What do you think about The Brigade and their plan to backdoor Annie?  Have your opinions changed on any of the hamsters between yesterday morning and now?  Let us know in the comments!
