The Night Owl

Not a lot happened today/tonight in the BB house.  The feeds were down for about 5 hours during the veto competition.  When they returned we found out that Kaitlin had won the veto.  She tried to talk to Helen about the idea of putting Howard up on the block instead of Jeremy when she comes off, but Helen said that the house would not be okay with that.  She said the house wanted Jeremy out, but that they would understand if Kaitlin didn't want to vote against him and that she could throw a vote to Spencer.

Helen did a lot of crying and acted as if her heart was absolutely broken over having to put Jeremy up.  She promised Kaitlin (just like everyone else she has talked to so far) that she would take her far in the game and that she and Andy were going to protect her and keep her around.

Andy and Helen held court in the HOH room for a few hours with various groups coming in and out while they all talked about what horrible game players the already evicted HGs were.  Andy in particular was very vocal about how terrible Nick was at the game and how awful the Moving Company was etc..  He and Helen went on and on as if having an alliance is a crime.  I guess they are the only ones allowed to have alliances.  The fact that Andy is in about 5 alliances at this point seems to matter very little to him.

Outside of that almost everything was really dull.  GinaMarie decided to go racist again saying Candice should "go back to Africa" and "too bad they don't have any nail technician Asians in the house".  She then went inside and cried some more about Nick...while still wearing his hat.  Andy, Aaryn, Jeremy,  Amanda, and McCrae at different times of the night all mentioned that they can't be around GinaMarie anymore because all she ever talks about is Nick and it's driving them crazy.

An incredibly unnecessary amount of time was dedicated to Kaitlin and Jeremy making out.  I mean hours upon hours upon hours.  Jeremy knows he is going home on Thursday so there really isn't any drama or questions or anything going on there this week.

Candice and Howard spent a lot of time together getting closer.  They game talked a little and Howard told Candice he thinks Helen has made too many promises since she has promised pretty much everyone to keep them safe, but she cannot win HOH next week.

Amanda got a good case of paranoia and spent a good portion of the night telling McCrae and Andy that she is sure that Howard has a deal with Elissa and that's why Elissa did not nominate him even though she told her to. She, Andy, and McCrae talked about it for a while, but they kept getting called out for production talk so the feeds kept cutting, and eventually people started mentioning penalty noms.

The most interesting thing that happened tonight in my opinion was Judd's slop breakdown. He is on day 2 and already losing it.  He went on a very intense rant about how much guacamole sucks, and said he takes back his "thank you" to America for the food because he can't eat grapefruit and guacamole is useless without chips.  A little later in the night Judd also talked to Spencer and Andy about how he feels like they need to start going after some of the girls because pretty soon there won't be enough guys to combat all the women in the house.  I agree with him.  The last thing I want to be stuck watching is The Mom Squad alliance or GinaMarie and Aaryn sitting around talking shit about everyone.

I'm sorry there isn't more to report tonight.  There was lots of Andy talk talk talking, and Helen crying and talking about "evil people" in the house, but that's nothing new since it happens pretty much every second of the day.  Hopefully something more interesting will happen in the next 24 hours and I will have something new to report.  As always you can follow me on twitter @ashes2ashes13 for more overnight updates.  Until tomorrow night...

The Night Owl

I don't particularly know where to start tonight.  I really thought this would be a recap where I talked about being disappointed over Nick getting evicted (which I am) and poked a little fun at GinaMarie's reactions to it (and I will get there...trust me), but SO much more has happened tonight that my brain feels like mush.  I will try to explain it all, but there is a lot to tell.

So, the live eviction goes about as we expected it. Howard and Jeremy were the only members of the MC to vote to keep Nick, and Howard knew that he was going home anyway.  When Nick left we heard the sobs we all knew were coming from GinaMarie.

When the feeds returned, GinaMarie was sitting sobbing and blowing her nose into Nick's shorts (I'm not kidding) while wearing his hat and talking about how if she just had ONE more week with him then he would have wanted her and they would have been together.  She threw out a bunch of other stalkerish lines like "You guys don't know what we had together alone when it was just us" and one of my favorites "How do I know he won't find a girl at home? How do I know he is gonna wait for me?".  At first I thought to myself..."My gosh, I've never met someone so completely unaware of reality.", but then I remembered Aaryn, and boy did she prove her delusions tonight!

While GinaMarie was still crying in her bed and lamenting her sorrows to Aaryn and Kaitlin, Jessie had the audacity to tell her that she was very sorry this had to happen.  GinaMarie told Jessie it was her fault that Nick was gone and then the fighting started from there.  First there was a squabble between GinaMarie, Aaryn, Kaitlin, and Jessie about the bed situation.  Jeremy and Kaitlin had taken over the bed where Jessie and Judd had been sleeping.  Jeremy and Kaitlin didn't ask, they just did it and then proceded to imply that Jessie was a slut.  Well..it wasn't really just implied.  Aaryn flat out called her one. Judd came into the room to see what was going on between the girls and before he could even say anything Kaitlin Screamed "GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY ROOM, JUDD" (even though it's actually the room where HE sleeps and Kaitlin does not).   Judd grabbed Jessie and they went upstairs for Helen's HOH reveal.

At some point while everyone else was enjoying Helen's HOH reveal, downstairs Aaryn and Kaitlin (with GM still in the room sobbing into Nick's dirty shorts) flipped over Candice's bed and threw her clothes around the room.  I'm not sure why they did it. I missed that part, but when Candice came back downstairs she wasn't happy about it.  When she first came in the room Kaitlin said something smart to her and that was all it took. Candice said something about them flipping her bed and Aaryn was off and running with the racial slurs all over again.  Candice was mostly calm at first, but Aaryn kept snapping at her and making "the black girl voice" to mock her while telling her "she wants to see that black side come out".   Candice eventually started to lose it, and when GinaMarie chimed in with more nonsense, Candice snapped at GM and GM jumped up off the bed and got into Candice's face AGAIN with more racial slurs.  At this point I think Candice probably would have hit GinaMarie if Howard had not very LITERALLY picked Candice up and dragged her out of the room.

Once Candice and Howard were in the other room, Howard calmed her down a little telling her that he could not control his temper and needed her to stop so she didn't get kicked out of the game.  She went upstairs and confided in Helen and Elissa while Howard stayed downstairs and sobbed in the room alone.  I won't lie to you guys, I had a REALLY hard time watching that happen.  It's the first time watching the BB feeds has ever been emotionally painful for me.

Meanwhile, Amanda had heard that the girls were being mean to Jessie again, and indeed they were.  While Candice was upstairs, they were all railing on her for being a slut and being with Judd now as her "last and 5th choice when everyone else rejected her".  Amanda came in the room and started defending Jessie and saying "let's just ALL clear the air.  Aaryn was not having it so Amanda decided to rat everyone in the room out about each other and what they had all said behind each other's backs.  She told Kaitlin about Aaryn's problems with her and all the mean things she says about her and vice versa.  She told Jessie what they say about her.  Aaryn still balked and told Amanda she was being ridiculous and so Amanda then told Aaryn how she was trying to help her by helping her to stop talking shit behind her alliance's back and stop being portrayed as a racist.  Well of COURSE in Aaryn's mind this isn't actually happening because "she never said one single racist thing ever" so Amanda and Candice are making it all up.  This fight went on for a while and finally ended with Amanda storming off.

After that fight was over, there were a few smaller tiffs between the mean girls group while Helen and Elissa celebrated upstairs.  Howard and Spencer kind of scrambled around together trying to decide what to do now.  Very clear lines seem to have been drawn now that Nick is gone and the MC alliance is a bust.  Andy, Amanda, McCrae, and Judd are together.  Elissa, Helen, Candice, Jessie and Andy are together (Andy is in almost all the alliances lol), and BlondeTourage still consists of GinaMarie, Aaryn, Kaitlin, and Jeremy.  When Spencer came to Howard and McCrae and wanted to vote Nick out earlier today (not knowing McCrae was going to anyway) he thought that he would still be with MC, but they would have just ditched one member. That turned out not to be the case.  Howard and Spencer are now sort of floating along together without any real home.  Everyone agreed to not let on that the are no longer welcome in the alliance, but it's pretty obvious that they are on their own.

A bit later, Amanda tried again with Aaryn.  She tried gently approaching what was wrong with what Aaryn was saying and doing in the house, but Aaryn again managed to turn herself into a victiim.  She cried and claimed that she is afraid that people are going to believe she is racist "when she never said one racist thing and Candice just makes stuff up".   McCrae also jumped in on this one and told her she needed to humble herself and stop acting the way she was acting.  Amanda told her that it was her actions that got people like Nick and David who should still be there evicted, because if her alliance wasn't so awful due to her behavior, they might have actually been working together.   Aaryn of course didn't let any of it sink in, but many of you will be happy to know that she did spend a good amount of time crying in the bathroom about it.  I'm sure it was for selfish reasons, but I still take some pleasure in it.

Meanwhile, GinaMarie STILL dressed in Nick's clothes and hat and blowing her nose into his shorts was making sobbing whaling noises like a dying animal.  That's the only way I know to describe it.  I'm not sure I've ever seen anything like this. It's SO much worse than Jessie's funeral in season 11.  Several people have told her that it "isn't like Nick died. He just got evicted". But there is no consoling her.  She has even been wondering out loud if she could possibly get on the same flight as Nick if she self evicted now.  I so wish I were joking when I say that...but I'm not.

I thought things were gong to wind down a bit and I might be able to put my tired BB'd out ass to bed when McCrae decided it was time to drop the MC bomb on Amanda and Andy.  He told them that there WAS indeed a guys alliance and told them all about how it was formed and how he turned on the alliance.  He said he turned on it because 1. he wanted to be with Amanda, and 2. because Spencer, Howard, and Jeremy were so bad at it.  He told them that it sucks that Nick got evicted because he was the only one who was actually a really good player and would have been great to work with, but that the other three were horribly and obvious and that they pushed him around about it so he had to turn on them.  Amanda and Andy took it really well. Amanda said she still trusts him, and Andy couldn't stop talking about how he can't wait to talk about it in the DR.  I'm not terribly surprised that Andy is excited to talk about anything.

Right now they are all still awake but things seem to be winding down, and I am spent so I'm going to have to call it a night. GinaMarie is still crying, but the others are mostly just chit chatting about various game aspects and trying to figure out how the food comp and nominations will go today.  I haven't even heard anyone say who is being nominated yet because the feeds have just been fight fight fight fight, but if I had to guess I would say it would be Aaryn and kaitlin.  The MVP nomination will of course be up to Elissa I'm sure, and she will likely nominate Spencer as a pawn with the intention to backdoor Jeremy if he can't play in the veto comp, or at least get him up there if he doesn't win veto.

HOH is really irrelevant this week in that the whole side of the house against BlondeTourage has the votes and the same targets, so all that will really matter is who the MVP nominates and who wins the veto. If Jeremy doesn't win he is going home.  If he does win, Aaryn is going home.  And that's the way I expect the week to play out.  Is anyone else already exhausted even though it's only week 3?!  I'm so glad the feeds are at least interesting this year though.  I'm really disappointed in losing Nick as a player, and I blame a lot of it on the MVP twist (and a lot of it on his own game play as well), but I can't complain about all the explosions that happened due to his eviction.  This is the reason most of us watch the feeds.  After tonight's events I'm going to say fairly confidently that Nick really needs to invest in a restraining order, and Aaryn may have to go into witness protection or something when she gets out of the house.

Anyway, that's it.  I'm sorry if this has been a jumbled mess of a blog, but it has been a very VERY long last 24 hours, my eyes are BARELY open, and it is WAY past time for me to sleep. As always, you can follow me on twitter @ashes2ashes13 for more updates.  Until tomorrow night....

Big Brother Season 15, Episode 7 Recap

A word of warning to the few who read these recaps. I’ve been in a foul mood all day. Like “screw this world” kind of foul. It will be a miracle if this marathon set of simple words even makes it to the web page, as the laptop could easily be tossed at my television.

Why the anger? Until last night, this eviction looked to be my highlight of the year. The production “plant” was all set to go, and had done absolutely nothing to save herself. It looked like the eviction was going to be a formality, and then maybe this MVP silliness could become a fun feature for the year.

Then a tiny political strategist (supposedly) got into the act. From day one, she had been the person campaigning for Botox Baby, even though she was sitting right next to her on the block. All of her prancercizing seemed to do little good, though, until suddenly out of the blue a young real estate woman took over.

Now it appears that tonight will be my worst nightmare. Unless there were some last-minute reconsideration of the plans, a certain stupidly named alliance will be finished. Which is kind of cool, except that a moron will have been saved and a couple of non-stop babblers will suddenly believe they have some power.

I’m jumping ahead a bit, here, so let’s get right into the show. Like every episode, we kick off where we left off last night, with the replacement of Jeremy with Nick as the third nominee. Jeremy is still confident that Elissa is going home, while Elissa drawwls about how Nick is such a huge threat. Nick doesn’t believe he is in danger. Then we get an overly long, overly dramatic explanation from Helen.

Amanda is then shown talking to Candice, asking about what they should do this week. Candice wants to ensure that a man goes, and Amanda reminds her that her vote is really important. She heads into the have-not room to tell Elissa that she thinks they have the numbers. Helen enters the room, which means that the conversation goes on way too long. Helen is getting suspicious of Spencer, and this vote will show if he’s with them or not.

Now Andy is talking with Helen, who says if Nick doesn’t “go home this week, we can’t win this game”. Andy counters that at this point, that side of the house isn’t going after them. Helen reminds him that as long as Elissa is around, she will be a target. They just have to be ready for the rage of Jeremy, Kaitlin, and GinaMarie.

Now we see Elissa crawling into bed with Jessie (wait, what?), and she tells her how important it is to get such a competitor out of the house. Jessie says that for the whole time she has been dead set on getting her out, but with Elissa now giving her attention she’s reconsidering.

Jessie then heads into the have-not room to talk to Helen. Yeah, it’s a recap of what they already said, and how the biggest, greatest alliance of all time will protect her. Until they don’t, actually.

Everybody is now sitting outside, and Howard heads inside to talk to Nick. He’s worried about the Amanda/McCrae relationship, especially since Amanda is so smart and strong. Spencer wanders in, and Howard leaves. They continue to talk about Amanda, and how they don’t believe McCrae will get her to vote as the Movers want them to.

They pull McCrae aside, and inform him that Amanda is going to figure out the Movers. He tells them “I need you guys to trust me”. He affirms he’s 100% with them, and will cut her out if he needs to. Sure you will.

McCrae goes back to Amanda, who says they have to keep Elissa. Amanda is already getting the vibes that McCrae isn’t telling her something. “I think it just makes sense to keep her here”, she says. McCrae says this week sucks, as he either has to cut loose the Movers or Amanda.

Julie now talks to the house, and the first question goes to Jeremy about not being worried about being nominated. “I was ready.” She then asks about showmances, including those who want to be in one. Yes, that question then goes to Jessie. She’s asked about why there are so many relationships, and she babbles some nonsensical garbage. Julie then reminds everybody that they’re watched and heard 24 hours a day. Amanda is asked if she keeps that in mind, and she says that after awhile you forget about it “all the time”. Aaryn is also asked, and claims that she’s just a “very open person. Everybody who is here knows a lot about me, and so does America now.”

Julie’s response? “Yes, we all do.” With a nice side of sarcasm. This was my highlight of the show. Julie reminds the nominees that one of them will be leaving, and she’ll be back with them later.

With that opening, Julie talks about how some of the comments have stirred up controversy for the show. This is a setup for footage from the house, starting with Candice complaining about things Arryn says in her presence. Howard talks about the white fish/black fish joke she had said earlier, and we get a replay of it. “You can’t play the game like that”, says Howard, who adds in the diary room he’s sensitive about it since he’s from the south. “You feel like there’s a personal vendetta, and that game play could be derailed because of it.”

Amanda replies that she doesn’t think that Aaryn is intentional in those comments. Just ignorant. In the diary room, Amanda says that she is sensitive to these remarks, and heads into the HOH to tell her that people are talking about these comments. Aaryn’s reply? “That’s the most obnoxious, annoying things I’ve ever heard.” Amanda goes on, and Aaryn carries on that she doesn’t care. “I really just think that’s the most immature thing ever. They call me Barbie and all sorts of shit about me being blonde all the time. What’s the difference?”

Oh boy, amanda is pissed. “That really shows her character.” The segment ends with a angry “stay with us” from Julie.

After commercials, it’s eviction time. Elissa goes first, and I don’t really understand anything she says. Actually, she acts like she just won an Emmy or something. “I am a target, but Nick’s the bigger threat.” Nick is up next, and he talks about how much he loves everybody. Helen is last, and she goes on about how she’s a huge Big Brother fan. She throws out a line against Jeremy, too.

The voting now starts with Jeremy, who votes to evict Elissa, as does Kaitlin. Andy, though, happily votes to evict Nick. GinaMarie is next, and votes against Elissa. Judd’s vote goes against Nick, as does Spencer and Jessie. Howard votes against Elissa, though, but McCrae’s big stand is with his girl as he votes to evict Nick! Amanda does the same and Candice. Nick is out 7-4!

Too bad there is a delay before the votes are read, but after commercials Julie reads the results. His eyes widen in shock, and GinaMarie covers her face. Nick hugs Aaryn, and then GinaMarie breaks down before Nick walks out the door.

Before his interview with Julie, we see GinaMarie continue to wail, as Howard consoles her. The rest of the house says nothing. Even after going into another room, we hear her wailing.

Julie asks Nick what is going through his mind, and he says that he believes it’s all Spencer’s fault. The audience doesn’t agree, and Julie asks why he thinks Spencer is controlling the house. He says he thinks everybody trusted him. Julie says that is the case, and if he’s mad about it. Nick says he’s not, and Juie confides that McCrae didn’t vote for him. Nick admits that the Moving Company was a “fake” game, and as you go through the time in the house you develop real game. He’s then asked if the Moving Company is done, and he says that since Amanda has figured it out it probably is over. They just couldn’t keep it secret.

We get the goodbye messages, and McCrae says he had to do it for his game. Jeremy says he doesn’t understand why Nick is gone, and he’s not happy to live another week with this “Phenbot”. Speaking of that creature, she slurs a goodbye to him and other stuff I can’t understand. Helen gives him some platitudes, and says she played a big part in his departure. GinaMarie ends it with how much she likes him. Julie ends it by saying he should have kissed Jessie. “She would have given you a vote!”

So it is now HOH competition time, and we start with a package of footage from last night. The HG’s were awakened a few times during the night with “clues” for tonight’s competition...and certain people didn’t really participate.

Heading to the backyard, it’s a true/false question competition based on the “deliveries” from last night. A wrong answer eliminates you. Judd and Jeremy are out on the first question. So much for that “photoshop memory”, Jeremy! GinaMarie, Andy, Amanda, Spencer and Elissa are out on the second question. Candice goes out next, and everybody left answers the next couple of questions correctly. It’s time for the tie-breaker question, which is the number of “BB Cola” cans “delivered” last night. The answer is 168, and all but McCrae give that answer. The second tie-breaker is how long it took Jeremy to win the second veto competition. Helen is the closest, and is the new HOH...which means we get her super-awkward dance. (BTW, Kaitlin was in second place.) What a different week that would have made!

So that’s it. Nick is gone, and Helen is HOH! America knows that Aaryn doesn’t give a fuck about being labelled a racist, and GinaMarie is considering suicide? Are you happy with these results? Are you glad the Movers are out of business? Or that slurring Elissa is still around? Tell us what you think!

The Night Owl

Well, here we are on eviction night eve and everything hinges on this guy:

Amanda went to work today as usual setting about saving Elissa.  Elissa had already been in Jessie's ear a little trying to sway her and so Amanda decided that if Spencer and Howard were not going to vote their way, she would just send Judd on a mission to get Jessie's vote so that she could save Elissa.  It worked like a charm and Jessie's vote was swayed.

Nick spent all day campaigning and making sure that everything was still good by the MC and everyone who said that they were keeping him in.  They all reassured him that it was, but it seems this may not be the case.

Once Amanda came to McCrae with Jessie's vote being solid, rather than keeping his usual calm and stoic demeanor, he began to celebrate with her.  I mean REALLY celebrate about them being able to keep Elissa and vote out Nick.  Up until now I have only been nervous and thought that he MAY be tempted to be swayed, but I am now thinking that he might ACTUALLY be voting Nick out.  I'm not going to lie, I'm disappointed by it..a lot.

Here are the facts and reasons I think he might keep Nick:  If he votes against the MC, he will have 3 strong guys after him plus Aaryn, Kaitlin, and GinaMarie (not that the girls are much of a threat).  The MC will expose him and they will immediately want both he and Amanda out.  He also dropped hints to Amanda as if he thought that Candice or Jessie would vote wrong possibly preparing her for the vote he would have to claim was not his own.

Here are the reasons I think he IS voting Nick out:  He seems to have actually fallen for Amanda the man eater.  I think he thinks he may be able to remain protected within the numbers of the until now faux alliance with all the numbers, and also under the shelter of Elissa's weekly MVP protection.  Keeping Ellissa could prove to be a strategic move on his part and would separate him from people like Jeremy who are obviously difficult to deal with and unpredictable.

So that's where things stand and it all hangs in the hands McCrae.  To my dismay, I think Nick is going home.  I shouldn't be surprised, my favorites ALWAYS go home. I think the twist this year is bullshit and this has productions grubby little hands all over it, but when does BB ever NOT screw us with some kind of twist involving past HGs anymore?  I know not everyone agrees with me, so I will avoid a rant.

here is where the votes are:

To Keep Elissa: Judd, Andy, Amanda, Jessie, Candice

To Keep Nick: Spencer, Howard, Jeremy, Kaitlin, GinaMarie

Unknown vote: McCrae

It's eviction eve and it looks like we are still going to be stuck with Elissa AGAIN.  Everything hinges on the pizza boy from Minnesota.  Until tomorrow night....
