Entries in Dan (121)
The last few seasons have been "plagued" by so-called do-gooders who spend most of their days reading the Bible. For the most part (with the exception of Natalie), they've kept the preaching to their bedrooms. Dan, though, has been pushing religion on the house, and this morning offended Libra by holding a Bible reading in the living room.
After the food competition, while Libra was complaining about being on slop, Dan stood outside the door with a Bible passage he wanted her to read. This just added to her whine list.
Jesse and Michelle are in what appears to be a pretty strong two-person alliance. Turns out that they formed a four person alliance with Memphis and Angie very early on. Angie has been on the outs with the other three though because she spent a lot of time with Brian, Dan and Steven and even tried to lobby for Brian to stay this past week. Angie promised Jesse and Michelle last night that she was still loyal to them and Jesse has said he will be nominating Dan and Steven and that Steven is the target.
I am not sure about Angie at this point - is is wrong to root for her just because I think she seems nice and is attractive? So far she has shown virtually NO game sense at all. But if she can stay loyal to Jesse, Michelle and Memphis and Memphis is truely considering this his main alliance - this whole group might do ok and last a while.
You'd think that winning HOH would be enough to make King Jessie happy. Oh no. He's ranted about Renny's offensive speech on live TV numerous times already. Just now, a couple of people noted that she's trying to fit in, and again he had to bring up her transgressions against him.
Overall, the house is pretty depressed tonight. Even his "friends" are not jumping for joy...except for psycho Michelle. Dan basically wants to hide, but is making periodic visits to the group sitting outside. My girl Angie is not much happier, but has amused herself out in the yard.
Dan immediately said he wouldn't kiss Jessie's ass, and Libra was crying alone in her room while trying to change her outfit without us seeing the goods.
Most are reflecting. Jessie saying he "couldn't believe he won". Michelle, Libra and April trying to kiss Jessie's ass in the kitchen, Ollie sitting close by. Keesha, Memphis, Jerry, Angie, Dan at the dining room table. Renny is floating around. Dinner time is nearing. GET DRUNK BITCHES.
Libra gave kisses to the cameras..I'm assuming she's just kinda missing her support system/her white husband. The HoH competition must have gotten to her. I can't imagine what it's like not to have the person you go to for advice/support around during stressful times.
She also hates that Keesha is 5'7" and a size 2. She flat out said "That's abnormal." Way to make the girl feel very comfortable around you.
Ollie, Keesha, April and Libra are talking about the different alliances in the house. They decide to talk to Michelle to see where her alliance lies, who's currently in the diary room. They do not want to talk to Jessie.
How long until these huge alliances break down?
Although everybody appears to be getting along on the feeds, there are hints that some things have gone down before the feeds went up. Something definitely happened between Steven and Memphis that "divided" the house, and the over-analyzing brain surgeons have complained about some confrontation they had with at least one of the females.
Can I please add that I think I'm in love with Angie?
So far, this season's BBAD is no different than the last two seasons. We tune in just as the house is preparing dinner, with the majority of the house pitching in and talking about absolutely nothing. Every few minutes, the handful of smokers head outside. Meanwhile, the two "deep thinkers", Brian and Dan, pretend to play basketball while over-analyizing everybody's actions and overheard conversations. This will ultimately be the doom of at least one of them.
I must say, however, that outside of "steroid boy" (Jessie), who continually babbles complete nonsense that has the rest of the house shake their heads, nobody is really annoying me. Renny is dressed like a food, but for the most part is keeping quiet. Memphis is sitting by himself in the corner, and thankfully saying little. The girls are dominating the conversation, and with the exception of Keesha's shrill voice, they're all pretty likable. Michelle actually looks kind of cute with straightened hair, although that will probably be my only compliment about her all season.
There is talk about BB providing alcohol, but like last season it appears that they'll only get a 12-pack for the entire cast.
Here's some screen-grabs of the first half hour.
