Things Just Got Interesting - Power of Veto Results

As expected today, Jeff used the Power of Veto and removed Porsche as a nominee - then put up Daniele in her place.  Some Houseguests said they were surprised, like Rachel, who was both surprised and very happy.  Others knew it was coming, like Daniele who told Kalia and Porsche very early this morning after a talk with Jeff that she knew he was putting her up.

So what got interesting?  Shelly seems to have decided to dump Team "JeJo" and try to save Daniele.  It taked 3 votes to evict this week - and so its the newbies that will decide it.  Shelly, Porsche and Adam have the power this week - Jordan and Rachel will vote as Jeff wants - and Jeff wants Daniele out.

Shelly and Porsche seem to both want to keep Daniele - I think Shelly realizes that she is the 4th member of the alliance with Jeff, Jordan and Rachel.  Shelly talked to Adam and laid it out for him - that Jeff and Jordan will be loyal to Rachel and take her to the end or as far as they can because people will not vote for her.

I don't know if this will happen (Daniele staying)- and it will be a double eviction so the second person could very easily be Daniele even if she manages to stay through the first vote.

What this does provide is the annual chance to discuss production and how they try to influence the vote.  It is pretty clear that Daniele has a MUCH larger following than Kalia so they would rather she stay around.  Expect Adam to get loads and loads of questions in the Diary Room about the advantages of keeping Daniele, perhaps questions about where he stacks up in the alliance with Jeff and Jordan.  If he feels safe if Rachel wins the next HoH (If Dani stays her odds of beating Rachel for HoH seem better than Kalia and even if Rachel won she would target Danie were she still in the house).  He might also be reminded about his issues with Kalia, they were each others number one targets the first couple weeks.

We'll be listening to Adam talk about his DR sessions to see if he complains that they keep asking about Daniele.  What do you think - does Daniele have a shot?  Do you think Adam can be convinced?  Are you surprised Shelly apparently has flipped just like that?

Power of Veto Results. Its a Zinger!

Me again with another quickie update as we get ready to record Episode # 8 of our podcast.

The Power of Veto was held this afternoon - everyone except Rachel got to participate.

Cutting to the chase - Jeff won it so he is now in complete control of the nomination.

Adam mentioned that the ZINGBOT showed up when he tried to go in the Diary Room so we can expect some HILLARITY on Wednesday's show from that stupid bit - not sure if it is actually tied into the Power of Veto competition or not.

The competition itself was some type of puzzle - mit might have been a 3-D puzzle from what I just heard Jeff say a bit ago.  He apparently may have called it '4-D' in the Diary Room since it had 4 sides.  He realized his error right away but thinks they may still show it.

The real question now is will Jeff use it to put up Daniele and if he does who will he save?

The only thing I know for sure is that Daniele, Kalia or Porsche are going to the Jury on Thursday.

Let us know your thoughts on this, a lot of people assumed that somehow Daniele would win the competition.  Do you think she is going? 3 votes are needed to evict this week with no tie-breaker.

Nominations and Have Nots

Hey there folks!

Just popping in real quick for those that don't follow all of us on Twitter and are in the dark as to today's goings ons!

Last night as you should know Jeff won the Head of Household competition handily.

Today he got to determine the have nots - from what we could tell he was just given a card that said he could pick three.  He chose Kalia, Daniele and Porsche.  I believe Porsche and Daniele haven't been Have Nots until now. America picked Hard Boiled Eggs and Jalalpenos as the have not foods.

Then later on in the day the nominations were held.  As most of us suspected he nominated Kalia and Porsche.  Some wonder why he didn't nominate Daniele since she will get to play in the Power of Veto anyways.  Jeff didn't want to make Daniele mad by nominating her in case she wins the POV.  If she doesn't win it it is possible he may put he up as a replacement if she wins.  He has asked her not to use it if she wins - but that won't be until Monday so we have pleanty of time to speculate.

Kalia has shed a few tears already.  I'm not sure if there is anyone left in the house that can rile her up enough for a meltdown - although Shelly and Rachel are ALL SMILES today.

Shelly Gets The Editing Shaft From CBS - What Really Happened.

I originally posted this on I Love Reality.com but decided to post it here too so people can comment if they like.  Tonight I’m a bit peeved at CBS because of the way they edited the goings on that took place in the Big Brother house this past Sunday and Monday as it was shown on Wednesday night’s episode.

Before I begin - make sure to check out Scott's great as usual recap of tonight's show.  Click Here to go right to it.

I’m going to try to keep it short but I will include a bunch of Flashback times at the end so if you have the Big Brother Live Feeds you can go back and watch these things happen in real time.

What the TV viewer saw was Daniele mad at Kalia when Kalia is suddenly thinking about saving Rachel and then Lawon volunteering to go up as a replacement nominee for Jeff who had won the Power of Veto.  While what is shown is true in the very very basics,  the reality is so much different that it infuriated many of us that watch the live feeds and is an excellent example of how “Reality” shows are edited.

Here is what REALLY happened Sunday night and early Monday morning.

Kalia had decided to put up Adam as Jeff’s replacemnt.  While Daniele was pushing for Shelly to go up she deferred to Kalia’s wishes.  Either one going up would pretty much ensure that Rachel would be voted out on Thursday’s live show.

Shelly, wanting Rachel to stay since she is in an alliance with Jeff and Jordan and Rachel is as well,  worked on Kalia all day on Sunday – convincing her that she needed to do something to show she wasn’t Daniele’s pawn.  Shelly managed to get Kalia to seriously consider putting up Porsche and voting Porsche out of the house – in part because they are all concerned with the ‘twist’ that if Rachel was evicted but came right back – she would make Kalia her number one target.  She also planned to secure some type of promises from Rachel for hers and Daniele’s safety next week by doing this.

The ‘fight’ between Daniele and Kalia shown on Wednesday night’s show was in fact Daniele reacting to Kalia saying she wanted to put up Porsche instead of Adam.  Daniele was so mad at this that she actually said something to the effect that she might just play her own game from now on if Kalia was going to do this.  Daniele then stormed off telling her they would talk later and Kalia went to Shelly for yet more advice and reassurance.

A bit later Kalia told Adam she might nominate him and then Jeff showed up.  Shelly had informed Jeff of this new plan but played dub with Kalia who discussed saving Rachel by putting up Porsche.

This all took place between 7 & 10pm on Sunday night.

Jump ahead about three hour and you can see how Lawon becomes the new replacement.

Just before 1am early Monday morning and Kalia, Lawon and Daniele are in the HoH room. Daniele, frustrated with Kalias change of heart in not putting up Adam and sudden overall change in attitude, says in exasperation to just put her (Daniele) up and vote her out.  Kalia says she can’t do that – so Daniele says (as a joke in my opinion) to put up Lawon since he volunteered (Lawon had told Kalia to put him up as a nominee on Friday since everyone said he was a floater).  The amazing thing was Lawon then took the suggestion and ran with it!

So in my opinion, Shelly’s hard work earlier in the day opened the way for Lawon to be the replacement nominee.

Here are the flashback times to catch most of the action – you will need a subscription to the Big Brother Live Feeds to watch – you can get a FREE three day trial by clicking > this link < or any banner on the site.

Shelly convinces Kalia to put up Porsche – Flashback Times (8/7/2011):

  • 7pm cameras 1/2 Shelly suggests putting up Porsche to Kalia – telling her it will garner the faith of Jeff and Jordan and show that she is her own person – not doing Daniele’s bidding.  In reality Shelly is doing this because she wants Porsche out – and feels keeping Rachel in will keep a target off Jeff and Jordan that much longer.
  • 7:25pm cams 3/4 Kalia tells Dani about this plan – Daniele is NOT pleased with the idea at all.
  • 8:12pm cams 3/4 The convo with Daniele wraps up.  Daniele leaves saying they can talk about things later.
  • 8:18pm cams 3/4 Kalia talks to Shelly again – Shelly re-enforces the plan she suggested earlier.
  • 8:42pm cam 3/4Shelly fills Jeff in on plan – he is shocked.
  • 8:44pm cam 3/4Kalia talks to Adam – tells him he may go up as a pawn.
  • 8:45pm cam 3/4Kalia talks to Jeff – tells her she is considering putting up Porsche but she would need major promises from Rachel that she would be safe.
  • 9:05pm Cam 1/2 Jeff finishes talking to Kalia – heads out and asks Shelly where ‘that’ came from and Shelly replies, “Me baby!”  Later Shelly tells Jeff that she is not going to quit (on this plan) until Porsche is out.
  • 9:25pm cam 3/4 Jeff tells Jordan that Kalia has proposed going after Porsche.
  • 9:56pm Cam 3/4 Kalia talking to Shelly again at the hammock – filling her in on her conversation with Jeff.

The decision is made to put up Lawon – Flashback times (8/8/2011):

  • 12:48am cams 1/2 – This is where it first really seems to begin with Daniele mostly joking to Kalia to put HER up – then Dani says to put up Lawon since he volunteered (Lawon is in the room when this happens).
  • 12:54am cam 1/2 Lawon seems to be considering it – Porsche is in the room now as well.
  • 1:24am Feeds cam 1/2 return after a break – we find Kalia and Daniele alone in the HoH room – reacting to Lawon’s crazy suggestion that he would be willing to be voted out.
  • 1:32am cam 3/4 Kalia tells Shelly about Lawon volunteering to go up – Shelly thinks he is crazy but then says, “Fine with me.”
  • 1:42am cam 1/2 Lawon says if he goes up he can play the ‘mad’ roll and try to ‘spy’ on the other hgs for information.
  • 1:53pm Cam 1/2 Daniele has Lawon tell Kalia about his ‘plan’ to gather info.  To me it is just Daniele stroking Lawon’s ego and encouraging this crazy plan.
  • 2:07am – cam 1/2 Dani, Lawon and Porsche back in the Candy Room – talking about this master plan to vote out Lawon.  Dani says to Lawon, “This is your moment to shine.”

Have Nots - Nominations - POV Players

A very quick update - LOTS has gone on - tons of drama in the house for a Friday.  Check my other site I Love Reality.com for some more details and pictures but these are the 'highlights.'

The Have Not competition was held this afternoon - blended drinks seemed to be involved - they had to guess what was in the mixed up drinks.  We know for sure that Jordan, Jeff and Shelly are Have Nots - I think Rachel is as well.  Jordan was VERY upset after the competition, since she will be a Have Not for the second week in a row.  Jeff also felt that Shelly might have thrown the competition when she said she could not hear the combination Jeff was telling her.  When Jeff confronted her on this later she got upset with him for not trusting her loyalty.

Then came nominations and Kalia put up who we expected - Rachel and Jeff.  Kalia had said she would not put up Jordan no matter what - ever - based on a promise from the first week.  I do know Daniele coached Kalia on her nomination speech.

And finally tonight  the house guests picked the names to play in the Power of Veto competition - normally this is done early on Saturday - so there is some speculation that they might have a late night POV competition - or one early in the morning.  We don't have a complete list of Power of Veto players either - they HGs haven't been very forthcoming.  We know that Kalia, Rachel and Jeff will play.  I also heard that Rachel got to pick a player and took Jordan.  Jeff apparently drew Shelly's name from the mystery bag.

So there you have it - feel free to fill in the blanks with things you saw on the feeds today.  I just wanted to get something posted so you were up to date!

Guess Who Won The POV

Happy Saturday afternoon everybody! After two-and-a-half hours of trivia time on the live feeds, the Big Brother gods finally turned the switch back on and allowed us to find out who won the Power of Veto competition.

But first, let's go back to nominations. Daniele nominated Brendon and Rachel for eviction yesterday with the primary target being for Brendon to go. I can't wait to see the nomination on tomorrow night's show because Daniele called them the king and queen in it. Teehee!

The players competing in the POV competition today were Daniele, Brendon, Rachel, Jeff, Adam, and Porsche. Brendon's been telling Rachel that if he won he'd use the POV on her so that she would stay in the game. Well of course he would do that being such a fine gentleman and all right? Right.

So when the feeds finally came back today, it was (dun dun dun duuunnn!) Brendon that won!

It sounds like the competition involved (perhaps) having to guess how long it might take them to go through an obstacle course. There's been mention so far of having to do a puzzle and cross a balance beam.

Jeff was upset at himself for losing by two seconds. Shelly was in the HOH room telling Daniele (and the always up Daniele's ass Kalia) that she thought there was no way that Brendon would use the POV to save Rachel and would really save himself but that she would talk to Brendon to get that not to happen. When Shelly left the HOH room, Daniele remarked to Kalia that there's something up with Shelly. Well duh!

Brendon has reiterated to Rachel that he'll use the POV on her so if that stays the same until the POV ceremony on Monday afternoon, he'll still be on the block. It's been expected that Jordan would take Rachel's place on the block if Rachel won POV or was saved so that might stay the plan. However, there was a mention by Daniele to Kalia that perhaps Shelly could go on the block.  I'm not sure that would happen though.

So what do you think about this turn of events? Are you happy that Brendon won the POV? Do you think it's smart to put Jordan up on the block in Rachel's place? Do you think that there's a chance Jordan could be evicted over Rachel? Tell me what you're thinking in the comments!

POV Spoiler

Everyone's stupid
Everyone's stupid
Even my family, whatever that's worth
Everyone's stupid
Everyone's stupid
Here in my family, whatever that's worth
- Paul Westerberg, "Everyone's Stupid"
Poor little Daniele. She has all the answers for her to walk away with the prize money, but she's just too smart for the imbeciles she is forced to endure every day. You can just see the disdain in her eyes as she talks to every single person in the house...except for the new love in her life, Nick...I mean Dominic.
Yep, little mini-Evel Dick is again playing with her private parts instead of her head. I don't mean this literally, of course, although the Beavis side of my brain does currently have some nice visions. No, she sees Dom as her ticket to mental, physical, and financial freedom. Ok, maybe that's a bit of an exageration. The truth is she sees Dom as the little boytoy she can use to do all of her dirty work to make it to the end, and the fact that Brendon and Rachel's loins don't light up in his presence is getting in her way.
What does our too-cool-for-the-room twit do when she doesn't get her way? She pouts. She whines. She demeans everybody, including the people she's sharing private thoughts. There's no plan B with this girl. Instead of possibly working on securing the votes to save the virgin man-boy, she marches up to the HOH and tells Brendon he and his girl are gutless. Yep, that will work.
Needless to say, it didn't work. Brendon didn't use the veto, so Adam and Dom are still on the block. Daniele is outside pouting, Rachel still doesn't understand why she can't walk on water, and Brendon is still lecturing. Jeff and Dom just had a few heated words (with Shelly spying on them outside the doorway), and there's once again talk of a house meeting. Oh, that should be good.

Nominations and Power of Veto Results

Just a quick update since Hamsterdame, Ash and Scott are all hating this week....  (I kid), yesterday Rachel made her nominations and for the second time Adam and Dominic found themselves up on the block.  The difference is that last week Dominic was the target of Jeff and Jordan, this week it is Adam that Rachel and Jeff would like to see leave the house.

Meanwhile Daniele is actually tossing out the idea of going after Jeff and Jordan, saying that if they were to get Jeff out now it would be one less vote against them because she feels if they vote Jeff and Jordan out and into the Jury they will hold a grudge against them and vote for somone else to win.  Clearly Daniele is hoping to get Rachel and Brendon to do the dirty work.

Today was the Power of Veto competition, amazingly Jeff and Jordan were selected yet again to play, granted it was in theory a 50-50 chance that they be selected - the other couple being Lawon and Kalia but there has always been people, including house guests that suspect there may be something funny with the 'chips' in the POV bag since they are not allowed to inspect the unseen chips after the names have been selected.

Details have yet to come out of what was involved in the POV competition but we do now know that Brendon won it.  Now we will see if Rachel and Brendon decide to keep Adam as their target, redirect their aim on Lawon, or turn the house upside down and put up Jeff and Jordan with the idea of eliminating Jeff and possibly separating Jeff and Jordan for the summer with one in and one out of the Jury House.

Be sure to listen late Saturday night or Sunday for Episode #4 of the Big Brother Gossip Show where we will discuss all this and more.  Look for a new post on the site Saturday night!

Big Brother Season 13, Episode 4 Recap

Somebody’s dream is about to be squashed tonight, and I couldn’t be happier. On the one hand you have Keith, failed star of dating shows whose plan of creating “Keith’s Girls” was extinguished moments after entering the house. On the other hand you have Porsche, whose reasoning for being on the show has nothing to do with prize money and all to do with this idiotic fantasy of having a film crew documenting her post-Big Brother life.

Truthfully, I could care less who heads home tonight, but it’s safe to say that we’ll NEVER hear from the evictee again. Keith will go back home and stammer out sermons in between chasing local girls with little self-esteem. Porsche’s future is destined to remain at that (non)-exclusive nightclub, where she’ll serve overpriced foo-foo drinks until a businessman twice her age makes her his second (or third) wife. What’s the future of the person who survives the evening? Look for them to be the first evictee after the Golden Key is turned in.

Before we get to that fantasy-extinguishing moment, we have to sit through a few minutes of filler, including a segment or two to make it look like either of them have a 50/50 shot of staying. After a overly-long intro and an intro by Julie, we get the expected reactions to Rachel’s decision to not use the veto. Nothing that’s said is worth repeating, except Porsche’s claim that she’s a strong competitor. Yeah, right.

Porsche and Keith have a conversation, and Keith is suddenly sweet-talking the twit. Porsche is having none of it, though. “You can tell Keith is lying when his lips are moving.” Oh snap! She lets him know that she’s prepared to handle anything that he tells the others.

We jump into the have/not room, and Dom says that he wants Porsche gone. Cassi wastes no time in agreeing, and Lawon says it also sounds cool to him. “They (vets) see Porsche as this weak twit”, Cassi says. In the diary room, Cassi admits that Keith has played a terrible game, but he’s a better choice to stay than Porsche.

The vets don’t agree, though. In the HOH, Rachel is saying that Keith has to go. They’ve finally realized that the numbers game doesn’t work for them, and Jeff thinks they need to go after Adam or Cassi’s vote. Working on that goal, the vets decide to socialize with the noobs. Oh God, I have to hear Rachel’s “Big Booty” bullshit again. For some reason, we also have to endure “Vegas Rachel” as she does some awful booty dancing, accompanied by a drum circle performed by the rest of the house.

Dominic is actually showing some smart, though, as he’s not buying the suddenly nice side that’s being shown by Rachel and the rest of the vets. “What are you trying to do? How are you trying to manipulate me, and what are you trying to get out of me?”

Ok, this segment goes on a bit too long, as Rachel starts calling Brendon “Bootie”. Brendon says that’s an affectionate name she has for him, but he doesn’t like the rest of the house knowing that. He calls her over, and after saying in the diary room that she’s no longer “a Vegas party girl”, he starts complaining to her for revealing that dumb name. Hell, it’s better than “Ashy Penis”. Ugh, he calls it “protecting Rachel”.

WTF? This is the most sanitized version of a fight I’ve ever seen, as the piano music jumps in as Rachel says “I love you” over and over. Finally, he starts whining, and it’s nothing like how it actually happened as they accentuate his “I love you” comments over his more hateful lines. He finally turns off the light to go to bed, saying he doesn’t care if she doesn’t sleep with him.

After a commercial break, we get part two of the romanticized version of Rachel fighting with Brendon. She complains about him being mean to her, and as always she apologizes over and over. He continues to whine, and finally snarkily says he accepts it. “You have a hot, beautiful fiancé who is in love with you…who is smart. Who calls you ‘bookie’. Is that the worst of your problems?” Wait, does Brendon have another fiancé. Hey CBS, tone down the acoustic guitars, and get rid of the anthemic crescendo when they make up. My God, this is the fucking worst segment in Big Brother history!

Back in love, Brendon decides to go to Shelly for a vote. Yeah, she’s an easy mark, saying its “awesome” to work with her beloved vets. Jeff says that he now has to go talk to Adam because he was a person Dick brought into the group. Jeff’s great idea is to have Adam name their alliance. Really? He comes up with nothing except “Adam’s Angels”. Ugh.

Now we’re back outside, and Cassi tells Shelly and Kalia that they have nothing to gain by booting Keith. Kalia doesn’t want to “rock the vote”, though, and Shelly is just confused because she’s playing both sides. She wants to know what she has to gain by keeping him, completely ignoring the numbers game. Cassi then moves on to Adam, who says he hasn’t promised his vote to anybody. In the diary room, Adam claims that this vote says whether you’re with the noobs or veterans. Um, Adam, you’re a noob. Think about it.

With another set of commercials down the drain, it’s time for Julie to ask dumb questions to the house. Oh wait, this could actually be good, as Julie has a message from Evel Dick. He says he’s alright, as is his girlfriend and family. He loves the game, and would have never left the house if there wasn’t an emergency. He apologizes to Daniele, saying they “get along the best when we’re on Big Brother playing together”. She doesn’t seem to be too interested, though. He then tells the rest of the house that he will be watching, and wants good gameplay, strategy, and fights. He ends with saying he misses most of them.

Julie then goes to Daniele and asks if she has something to say to him, and she has really little to say except that it is tougher since it is more than just gameplay. Julie presses for her to say “I love you”, but that’s too “awkward” for Daniele. Hmmm.

We then get to see clips of the have/have not competition, including Keith dry-humping the other boys. Yes, that’s actually pretty funny. Dominic is asked if it was worth it to have Keith on top of him. His answer is yes. Adam is then asked what it’s like to play with the vets, and once again his answer is not worth repeating.

Keith then gets to plead his case, and he starts by saying that Porsche “rocks”. Wait, what? He then adds the three things that are needed to make it through the house – have fun, never take things personally, and remember that it’s only a game. Porsche says thanks to everybody, and not much else.

It’s now time for the voting. Dominic is first, and votes to evict Porsche. Brendon votes to evict Keith, as does Jordan. Cassi, however, votes to evict Porsche. It’s tied as we go to commercials.

Lawon is the first to vote when we return, and his vote is against Porsche. It’s Jeff’s turn, and yes, he votes to evict Keith, as does Daniele (after saying she does love her father). Adam then comes in, and his vote is against Porsche. Kalia’s vote is against Keith, as does Shelly. Yes, this went as expected.

Julie announces that Keith has been evicted, and he’s all smiles as he hugs everybody. After watching the house mill around for a few seconds, Julie then begins by asking how shocked he was at being evicted. “Very shocked”, he replies. He does say that he would have done a few things different, and Julie adds that he wasn’t very smart in throwing the POV while on the block. She then asks what went wrong with his choice of Porsche as a partner. He does make sense here, though, saying that she broke their plan on all the noobs sticking together. Keith also says that the game is harder than he expected, and continues on with saying that falling for Porsche, who is hot, would have messed up his game even worse.

It’s time for the goodbye messages, and Cassi says he acted like he was on the “Dating Game”. Lawon says he acted like a “fool…BOOM!” Ugh, Rachel claims he underestimated “the power of Hurricane Brenchel. We flipped the script on you, and used all of your noobies against you!” Porsche ends the segment by whining about playing her, and points to her “you can look but you can’t touch” shirt. She really is a mini-Rachel.

With Keith gone, we can move on to the HOH competition. Those of us who watched the feeds the last couple of days have seen them practicing their golf game, and that’s exactly what they’re playing tonight. They have to hit their ball around a sand trap, with the winner the closest to a “hole in one”.

Rachel was allowed to choose the play order, and Dom’s the first shot. He hits a six, and Adam’s lands in the eight. Cassi’s shot goes too far, and ends up in the water…as does Shelly. Lawon goes nuts with force on his short, and also ends up in the water. Kalia ties Dominic by hitting a six, but Jordan takes the lead by hitting a three. Jeff doesn’t even try, and goes right into the water (reminiscent of throwing a comp for Jordan during his season?). Brendon also fucks up on purpose, making Jordan the HOH! Great job, noobs.

With a couple of minutes left in the show, Julie attempts to coax a Jordan-ism out of her. She delivers, thanking Jeff and Brendon for “letting me win…it’s a repeat from our season”. Porsche is asked how she feels about having the golden key, and her response is that it feels great. Julie then asks a supposed question from the viewers, and it’s to Shelly about missing her kid. I guess she has a stuffed puppy that reminds her of the family. “They’re the love of my life.” Adam is then asked who his favorite 90210 cast member is, and he does a metal roar as he screams “Donna Martin graduates!” Um, sure.

And the show is over. What did you think? Are you excited for Jordan’s HOH win? Are you going to be sick of the entire vet team? I know I am. Leave some comments on this week’s show.
