The Night Owl

Well, here we are on eviction night eve and everything hinges on this guy:

Amanda went to work today as usual setting about saving Elissa.  Elissa had already been in Jessie's ear a little trying to sway her and so Amanda decided that if Spencer and Howard were not going to vote their way, she would just send Judd on a mission to get Jessie's vote so that she could save Elissa.  It worked like a charm and Jessie's vote was swayed.

Nick spent all day campaigning and making sure that everything was still good by the MC and everyone who said that they were keeping him in.  They all reassured him that it was, but it seems this may not be the case.

Once Amanda came to McCrae with Jessie's vote being solid, rather than keeping his usual calm and stoic demeanor, he began to celebrate with her.  I mean REALLY celebrate about them being able to keep Elissa and vote out Nick.  Up until now I have only been nervous and thought that he MAY be tempted to be swayed, but I am now thinking that he might ACTUALLY be voting Nick out.  I'm not going to lie, I'm disappointed by it..a lot.

Here are the facts and reasons I think he might keep Nick:  If he votes against the MC, he will have 3 strong guys after him plus Aaryn, Kaitlin, and GinaMarie (not that the girls are much of a threat).  The MC will expose him and they will immediately want both he and Amanda out.  He also dropped hints to Amanda as if he thought that Candice or Jessie would vote wrong possibly preparing her for the vote he would have to claim was not his own.

Here are the reasons I think he IS voting Nick out:  He seems to have actually fallen for Amanda the man eater.  I think he thinks he may be able to remain protected within the numbers of the until now faux alliance with all the numbers, and also under the shelter of Elissa's weekly MVP protection.  Keeping Ellissa could prove to be a strategic move on his part and would separate him from people like Jeremy who are obviously difficult to deal with and unpredictable.

So that's where things stand and it all hangs in the hands McCrae.  To my dismay, I think Nick is going home.  I shouldn't be surprised, my favorites ALWAYS go home. I think the twist this year is bullshit and this has productions grubby little hands all over it, but when does BB ever NOT screw us with some kind of twist involving past HGs anymore?  I know not everyone agrees with me, so I will avoid a rant.

here is where the votes are:

To Keep Elissa: Judd, Andy, Amanda, Jessie, Candice

To Keep Nick: Spencer, Howard, Jeremy, Kaitlin, GinaMarie

Unknown vote: McCrae

It's eviction eve and it looks like we are still going to be stuck with Elissa AGAIN.  Everything hinges on the pizza boy from Minnesota.  Until tomorrow night....

The Fortune Teller Finally Speaks - Feeds Will Be Down For 24+ Hours

Monday night at 9:37pm the Fortune Telley, who we now know is named "Crystal," started telling fortunes about all 14 house guests.  These fortunes will obviously be used in the next HoH competition that will take place tonight (Tuesday) at the end of the taping of the eviction show (More on that shortly).

"Crystal" did each fortune a couple times over the course of the night - the HGs were kept up almost all night long with the last fortune being given around 6:30am.  Rachel stayed in bed towards the end since she can't compete in the HoH competition.

The fortunes are all 'funny' and I am guessing the three HGs that compete will have to answer something like 7 questions for points and the HG with the most points will win the competition and be the new HoH.  The fortunes are as follows:

  • In 2018 Shelly will make millions when her book "How I created the perfect tan and how you tan too."  reaches #3 on the all-time best seller list.
  • In 2017 after the hot Miami sun becomes too much for her to bear, Porsche will move to Anchorage, Alaska, and buy an igloo with an Eskimo named Ernie.
  • In 2014 Jeff will disappear from society, he will be last seen wandering the Chicago streets muttering only two words, "Clown Shoe."
  • On Oct 15th, 2011 at 3:42pm Dani will reconcile with her father Dick. On Oct 15th, 2011 at 3:49pm they will go back to not speaking.
  • In 2014 after sleeping for 19 straight days and making national headlines in a sleep study, Kalia will earn her dream job as a matress and pillow tester.
  • In 2016 Lawon will take new york fashion week by storm when he launches his "handsomefied" line of hats, ties, and jackets.
  • After taking 9 years to earn his PhD, Brendan will shock scholars and physicians alike after discovering the cure for an ailment that plagued him his entire life.. Athlete's foot.
  • In 2020 Adam will file for bankruptcy after investing his life savings into a line of bacon scented heavy metal teddy bears for children.
  • In 2018 Rachel will give birth to a 9lb 6oz bouncing baby boy, naming it Bookie Junior after it's proud father.
  • In 2012 Cassie will land a role alongside international mega star David Hasselhoff in the "countryfied" baywatch reboot, Riverwatch.
  • In 2015 Evel Dick will start a Christmas tradition by bringing gifts to heavily tattooed orphans changing his name from Evel Dick to Old Saint Dick.
  • In 2013 Dominic will grace the cover of 17 magazine with the headline "Total DOM-ination" He will dethrone pop sensation Justin Beiber as America's favorite heart throb.
  • In 2015 Keith will land a job hosting a new dating show called "Love Rejection" but it will be short lived after it's revealed he tried to date all 29 female contestants.
  • In 2011, after the runaway success of the humilitard Jordan will launch a line of humilitard inspired items including the humilcar, the humilifier and the humili-bake oven.

With the taping of the eviction show today, the feeds will be (or have been) cut off around 2pm and we have no confirmation on when they will return but we hope it will be after the airing of the eviction show on Wednesday.  So if they cut them at 2pm and turn them back on at 6pm Wednesday they will be off for just over 24 hours.

Assuming they have a live audience tonight we should know who is evicted long before the feeds return and we should also know who wins the next HoH (although the sources will have to be highly trusted for that info).  Even without a source I am 99.9% sure Kalia will be voted out tonight.

Big Brother After Dark tonight will show a pre-taped part of the live feeds from 9am-12pm today.  The Hgs toasted the final five with Mimosas and then made tie dyed shirts and played cards (Big Brother finally gave them real cards to replace the ones they had made themselves.

If you have the live feeds Real is going to provide extra content to fill in the downtime (CBS controls the feeds - Real has no say over when they are blocked) - planned for today is the following:

  • 2-3pm PT live call-in show with Howie and Kevin
  • 3-4pm PT Howie Skypes with Janelle
  • 4-5pm PT Game Show Hour with Kevin & Howie
  • 5-6pm PT Happy Hour w/ Kevin & Howie
  • After that there will be some Live Feed highlights played in a loop overnight.
  • I assume there may be additional programming on Wednesday during the day.

Goodbye Brenchel

The plan of the house all week has been to make Brendon think he's being evicted tonight instead of Rachel. However, the person they'll be evicting is Rachel. They want to blindside Brendon so that he's out of sorts for the HOH competition.

At the beginning of the week, I doubted that they would keep the plan alive and it would be tossed aside along with every other idea that seems to pop up so early. The plan is still full steam ahead though. Rachel will probably have a nervous breakdown tonight - either when Julie announces her eviction or during her interview with Julie. There's no telling what Brendon might do.

I get that the other hamsters don't like Brenchel. Hell, I don't like Brenchel. I can't help but wonder why none of these ding dongs in the house aren't more interested in their two jury votes though. You stick it out in the house with Brendon and Rachel all that time and then, when it's the first week of jury, you decide to just lose it with them and send them out of the house in such a dramatic fashion?

There's no doubt that Brendon and Rachel have had a bad week. Some of it they definitely brought on themselves. But some of it was also brought on by the others in the house. I'm just thankful they didn't hear all of the vile and nasty things that were said about them behind their backs.

Do you think this surprise switch eviction is a good idea? If so, why? Is it because it just makes good TV? Do you think that this helps anybody's game or vote in the jury house? What do you think Brendon's and Rachel's reaction will be on the show tonight?

Let's Go!

There is finally going to be some action up in the Big Brother house today! We are definitely ready for it and I know the hamsters are as well. Now all we have to do is wait to see who becomes HOH tonight to find out exactly how much action there will be.

It's pretty much a given that Annie will be voted out tonight by an 11-0 vote. I suppose there's a chance of a hinky vote by the saboteur but still. Annie knows she's pretty much a goner but it hasn't stopped her from trying to swing some votes - constantly. I appreciate that she's not just laying down and dying but the other houseguests are really sick of it. They see her coming and want to run the other way.

Yesterday, Hayden wrote his HOH blog and received the Big Brother digital camera to take pictures with. He wrote that he believes Britney is the most dangerous person in the house and I tend to agree with him on that. Hayden is worried about Enzo too even though he's in an alliance with him. And it's interesting that Hayden also singled out Kristen in his blog. I do believe he has a little crush on her.

Big Brother 12 houseguests - Week 1Also yesterday, they received oversized golf clubs and balls to practice with in the backyard. That means tonight's HOH competition will involve them using something to hit something else and will be elimination-style. Big shocker right? Britney seems to have some golfing experience and was doing quite well in the practice. Matt, Lane, and Enzo? Not so good.

The saboteur will be revealed to us tonight during the live show. I'm not quite sure how I feel about that. At first, I was excited to be learning who the saboteur is but I think I'd really rather they keep it a secret to us so that we can try and figure it out on our own. Personally, I still have no idea who it is. There are a few people I have in mind (Matt, Britney, Kathy) and there are a few people I know it definitely isn't (Andrew, Lane, Hayden). But I guess I'm going to find out who it is tonight regardless of whether I want to or not.

Now I definitely can't wait to find out who wins HOH tonight and who they nominate tomorrow. If you have the live feeds, you'll want to make sure they're on at 9:00 PM ET to watch the aftermath of the HOH competition as well as all of the ego-stroking and drama the rest of the night.

Who do you want to win HOH tonight? Do you think the vote to evict Annie will be unanimous tonight? Do you think Annie will go quietly into Julie Chen's arms or do you think there will be some drama in her leaving? Who do you think the saboteur is and would you rather find out tonight from CBS or would you prefer figuring it for yourself? Let us know in the comments!
