Big Brother Season 15, Episode 34 Recap

Last night, we went from five to four contestants remaining in the Big Brother house. Tonight, another person will be shown the door, and the first stage of the crowning of a new champion will begin. There’s also going to be segment devoted to the jury house, which is something almost everybody has been clamoring to view.

The previous episode concluded with Andy coming from behind to eek out a sudden death victory in a “Before or After” competition. For some strange reason, we begin with last night’s footage of Judd’s departure, and GinaMarie babbling about the “Exterminators being down one”. McCrae again repeats how he had to vote against him because he can’t rock the boat, but he believes the other three are working together. “I’m the odd one out.”

After Judd’s gone, they all hug each other, and Spencer is proud that three of the final four are from his group. Andy explains that he trusts GinaMarie just a tad more than Judd, which is why he had to go.

We jump to Andy’s HOH win, and I’m not going to bother to repeat much of this backslapping silliness. Yeah yeah yeah, exterminators rule, McCrae’s the target, blah blah blah.

Finally we get some new footage, with McCrae complaining that he just wants to get on to the veto comp. He walks into the storage room, and the exterminators start going on and on about how McCrae can NOT win that veto. Unfortunately for Andy, he has to put up one of his fools, so they go over the various scenarios. They quickly figure out it doesn’t matter, as a McCrae win puts him in the driver’s seat.

With that, we go right to nominations. The only key belongs to GinaMarie, which means that Spencer and McCrae are on the block. Andy says that both of his nominations are because he has to, and it’s all about who wins the veto. Andy also believes that McCrae doesn’t know he’s the target. There’s more of this blather from everybody, and even some phony worrying from Spencer.

Before the veto competition, though, we finally get the long-awaited jury house footage! The segment begins with the first three jury members (Jessie, Helen, and Candice) hanging out, and of course Helen is already doing arts and crafts. She’s painted a “memory wall”, and is pretty proud of herself. She’s apparently also been doing her prancersizing around the house.

They talk about who they want to see is next, and in walks Aaryn. “Glad to see you in jury”, says Candice, who also wants to know who knocked her out. Her and Helen jump for joy when they learn that it was Elissa. Hmmmm. That’s kind of tacky. Candice adds that it is a “dream come true” for her to be evicted, and reminds us of the mattress incident.

Aaryn then apologizes for her ignorance, and that she hopes they all are willing to forgive her and get to know the real her. That’s it for Aaryn’s segment, as we then jump to the next evictee - Amanda. It’s Jessie’s turn to be happy. Amanda points out that she knows they were all happy to see her “because they didn’t want to see me win the game”. Amanda then tells how GinaMarie won HOH and blindsided McCranda. Helen thinks that is fantastic. “By the way, America hates me”, she adds. She also outs the Exterminators to the other jurors, and Aaryn is the only one not surprised.

Then Amanda alerts them that another person will following her, and it is Elissa. Amanda asks her what happened, and Elissa (sort of) describes what happened. Amanda returns the ring, and apologizes for McCrae’s nominations...along with Andy’s lies.

Oh wait, we get another jury house segment after the break! There’s another scene of the girls predicting who will be the next to enter, and then Judd walks in. Helen is shocked for some reason, and then Judd fills them in on what happened. They then watch the video of his eviction, including his comment about voting for Spencer and Andy. He then explains why he said that, and Elissa adds that GinaMarie should know she has “all of the support in the jury”. Uh oh.

The camera was on Aaryn, but it’s Amanda that first says “no, she doesn’t”. She also obviously doesn’t have the support of Candice, either. Amanda said that GinaMarie floated through “99” days, and Judd responds that McCrae “rode on your coattails”. She doesn’t like that, saying he was smart to let her talk. Aaryn complains that Amanda seems to be even worse in the jury house than she was in the house, and it heats up when Candice agrees that McCrae was a floater. She adds that out of those left in the house, he’s been the “most loyal”. Yeah, this doesn’t go over well, either. Candice replies that he rarely even got out of bed. “He floated through the whole game.”

That’s it with jury stuff, and after commercials it’s time for the veto competition. They head outside through cobwebs, and the contest is a spider web puzzle. They have to read clues, and then find the house guest that fits that clue. The first to correctly fill the entire puzzle wins.

Before the description, and during the competition, we heard over and over how this is so important to win. Yep, more blah blah blah. “The stakes have never been so important.” Can we get better script writers, please? Let’s just cut to the end - Andy wins. Oh, and GinaMarie got a puzzle piece picture of Nick.

Spencer and Andy then meet upstairs, and it’s Spencer’s goal to make Andy scared of taking GinaMarie to the final two. He reminds him about her jury votes, and how she’s able to fight with people and then still be friends. Andy seems to be on the same page as Spencer, though. It’s really a waste of time.

Now McCrae is shown packing, and Spencer asks him if he’s talked to Andy yet. He believes that McCrae should also remind him of how dangerous GinaMare is. “Reiterate how bitter this jury is going to be.” McCrae agrees that this needs to happen.

This indeed does happen in the HOH room, and it’s almost word for word. He reminds Andy how both GinaMarie and Spencer don’t have any bitter rivals in the jury house, and Andy pretends to agree with him. Yep, there’s the footage that is needed to raise suspense for the next segment!

It’s now time for the fatal veto/eviction decisions. Who will be the last person to go home before the finale? One piece of weirdness, though. Julie announces that earlier today the three Exterminators came clean to McCrae. I’m shocked by that.

McCrae gives his speech first, and thanks all of his friends. I really hate when the nominees do this. He also thanks a podcast, which really hurts me as it isn’t ours. “Andy, use the veto on me because I’m a totally bad radical.” Spencer then simply asks for the veto, if he wants to use it, and that his “beautiful girlfriend would appreciate it”. Andy puts on his fake worry look, and stands up to announce that he won’t use the veto.

Before the eviction, the two nominees get to make another speech, and McCrae gets up and just announces various big brother blogs (but not ours!). He thanks them for their support, and says that “it’s all good” to GinaMarie. Spencer says he respects GinaMarie no matter what she does, and that’s it. GinaMarie then stands, and after some babbling finally gets around to evicting McCrae. He yells out for Hamsterwatch one more time as he hugs everybody and heads out.

Before Julie interviews him, the three remaining house guests are shown celebrating. The interview begins with a little bit of the reveal, and he’s asked what he was thinking. He says he was blown away, and didn’t see it coming. He did believe that Andy cast that vote against Amanda, but still didn’t think they had an alliance. Julie asks why he didn’t nominate Andy during the double eviction, and he says it’s because he wasn’t aware of the alliance. He wishes he had trusted Elissa, and “should have went with my gut. But I’m a wuss.”

His relationship with Amanda is then brought up, and whether he put her before the game. He admits it to an extent, but there was a lot of “give and take” with them. When she did leave, he was “crippled”. If she had left earlier, he could have possibly seen it and broke them up. Julie then points out that sometimes he looked like he was in love, and at other times he seemsed scared of her. He says “I don’t know” a few times, and it looks like he has some doubts about their future. The final messages are then played, and they’re all bullshit. Lots of “exterminator” bullshit, and how Spencer hopes he isn’t seeing this video. The segment ends with McCrae saying he wishes he had distances himself a bit from Amanda.

A few adverts later, Julie says hello to the “exterminators”. She asks Andy why they exposed their alliance to McCrae, and he babbles about how much they all loved him, and that he “deserved to know”.

With that, the episode is over. There’s no beginning of the first HOH competition, and Julie goes into a promo for Sunday’s highlights episode. I’m surprised by this, as we always get to see the start of the endurance competition. We’ve been ripped off!

What did you think of tonight’s episode? Are you happy McCrae’s gone? Are you upset with this final three? How about that jury footage? Tell us what you’re thinking!

The Night Owl

Well, GinaMarie did it.  Amanda and McCrae were put up on the block together today and the aftermath went just about the way most of us expected it to go.  First Amanda and McCrae ran to their bed to go talk about whose fault it was (Judd and Elissa of course) then Amanda marched to the HOH room.  Upon arriving in the HOH room, Amanda yelled at GinaMarie and told her that they were never coming after her and genuinely wanted to take her to the final four.  Amanda told her over and over and over and over that it didn't make sense to put the two of them up together.  GinaMarie kept her cool and told Amanda that it DID in fact make sense.  She told her they were a power duo and a couple. Two people playing the game together.  She told her she felt that this would make it a more even playing field to separate the two of them so they are not playing for each other. Amanda then told GinaMarie "You just fucked your own game.  You just fucked up! if Spencer or Andy win veto they will take one of us off the block and then whoever the replacement nominee is will go home!"  That sparked a fire in Judd who spoke up and said "So I guess we should all just pack our bags then and push you both to the end?"  Amanda hurled a few more insults and then ran downstairs to the have not room to cry and tell McCrae how she doesn't even want to be there anymore and how she can't live with these people.  She just wants to leave now!  She can't stand the idea of being apart from him (for two weeks).  etc.. etc... etc..

There was some more time spent in bed and then Amanda went off to find Andy in the storage room who she still believes is on her side and will take her off the block if he winse veto.  She started crying and talking about Elissa saying she couldn't stand to spend another week in the house with her "joker face" etc..  and Andy mosty just said "yeah, but don't give her what she wants.  Just try to squash it."  While they were talking, Elissa listened outside the door until Amanda got wise to her listening and tried to bust the door open on her.

Most of the rest of Amanda and McCrae's night was spent not saying anything other than comforting words to each other in their bed.  There was also a lot of laying in silence.  The only thing they did outside of that was go to the bathroom once, eat once, and Amanda went up to the HOH room crying and apologized to Judd, Elissa, Spencer, and GinaMarie saying she knows she is leaving and she loves all of them.  She asked them not to blame her actions on McCrae who so wants to be there.  The two of them still have no idea that McCrae is the target. They just assume that Amanda is the one going home...but really, they just laid in bed all night for the most part.  I was starting to think mirrors  might be needed to check for breath, but in the wee hours of the morning they popped up for a short but relatively normal chat/joke talk with Spencer, Andy, and Judd.

After the storage room event, Andy started to get really spooked about the idea of Elissa sending him out of the house after she started needling him about what he said to Amanda and why.  She acted suspicious and Andy talked to Spencer about it a while later.  He and Spencer agreed that if one of them got HOH they might need to put Elissa up next to one of their own alliance so they could get rid of her first and then just deal with Amanda next.  I'm not sure if Andy is still on that same page though as after some booze later on in the night, he and Elissa had a really long heart to heart and agreed that they totally trust each other.  I am sure he still wants her out, but I'm not sure if he wants her gone next or if his fears were eased.

While McCrae and Amanda laid in bed together, the other HGs drank, played Jenga, ate dinner, and cut up with each other.  They started calling Judd the "Slutty Chicken" because his chicken costume is now so ripped it won't stay on.  They teased GinaMarie about how broken she is now that her toe is broken along with her hurt back and finger.  And the night for the most part was relatively strategy talk free.

There WAS a little bit of gaming for a while between Spencer, Judd, and Andy in the cockpit.  Most of it was just going over what they already have about doing what they need to do in order to win veto and send McCrae  home, but a few new things popped up here and there. They decided that if McCrae or Amanda does win veto and come off the block, it would be a good idea for Spencer to be the replacement nominee so they can just vote out whichever of the two is left up and not piss Elissa off yet.  That way Elissa stays focused on getting out the other member of McCranda instead of getting mad at all of them for putting her up and coming after two members of The Exterminators.

That's pretty much it as far as the game talk went.  Now it's all up to vet and what happens after that.  Part of me kind of hopes that McCrae wins veto so that Amanda goes home instead, but that is from a personal standpoint as I do like McCrae more than her.  From a strategy point of view, it is better for Judd, GinaMarie, Spencer, and Andy to get rid of McCrae and leave Amanda begging to go to jury right after him.  After seeing the way Amanda acted today about the game and her worries about being on the block, I honestly think she may use the veto on McCrae if she wins it.  She is extremely worried about him going to jury first and being there with Jessie and Aaryn.

Either way, even if neither of them wins it, it should be an interesting day.  If Andy somehow accidentally wins it, he knows he is screwed.  He won't be able to use it because of the current alliance he is loyal to, but that could potentially turn Amanda on him and keep her from going after Elissa.  Anyone else who won will likely just be subjected to bartering by Amanda and McCrae to use it, but likely won't.  We shall just have to see how it plays out.  As always, you guys can follow me on twitter @ashes2ashes13 for more overnight feed updates.  Until tomorrow night...

The Night Owl

The veto ceremony took place today and as expected, Andy was put up on the block after Amanda pulled McCrae down.  Apparently there were some fireworks during the veto ceremony. Amanda used a Rachel line "No one comes between me and my man." *gags*  Elissa then told her something to the effect of "My sister would be ashamed that her words are coming out of your mouth."   Then Amanda said "sit down trash bag."  or something like that.  I'm sure we will see an edited version of it on the Weds show.

After the feeds returned, Amanda and McCrae followed through with the plan to tell Judd that the plan had always been to keep Andy.  Andy played dumb as if he did not know about it, and Judd struck a one week deal (that he later said he did not intend to keep) to not put up McCrae and Amanda if they would give him the same one week safety.   Amanda half heartedly continued to harass Elissa for a little while, but then ultimately gave up and went to bed for a good portion of the day. It's never so pleasant on the feeds as when The Beast is sleeping.

Aaryn at first gave up and told everyone she knew what was going on and she was just going to go out happy, but not more than an hour later she was spreading lies and bullshit as usual and trying to turn Amanda and McCrae on Spencer and Judd, Trying to turn Elissa on everyone, trying to turn GinaMarie on Amanda and McCrae etc.. and so on.   The only one who remotely believed her was of course Amanda who ate up everything Aaryn said about Judd. This means nothing though as she is still not voting Andy out of course.

While Amanda was sleeping, McCrae and Elissa got into a somewhat heated discussion about what was bothering them about each other.  They each had some good points and also some stupid ones.  The end result was basically them being more cordial to each other than before.

At some point during all of this Spencer and Andy made it into the cockpit to talk about how excited they are about their new alliance they formed last night.  For those that don't know, Andy, Judd, Spencer, and GinaMarie formed "The Exterminators" in the wee hours of the morning right after my last blog was posted.  The real question of course is where does Andy and Spencer's loyalty lie.  During this conversation they talked about wanting to go with The Exterminators more than Amanda and McCrae at this point.  They both agreed that Amanda has got to go.  Their plan as of now is to wait and see who gets HOH, and if it's Judd or GinaMarie, help them evict Amanda or McCrae.  If it's McCrae or Amanda, they will wait to see which one of their alliance (most likely Judd) is put up beside Elissa, and they will just vote out Elissa instead.  If either of them (Andy or Spencer) gets it, they will put up Amanda and McCrae with Amanda to go because they both feel like this would be a REALLY big move to have on your final 2 resume. Whether any of this will happen or not, I don't know. It's just what they are saying for now, and to be honest, it makes me SO happy that people are at least talking about getting out Amanda this coming week. More people than just Judd and GinaMarie I mean.

After McCrae talked to Elissa, he went and woke up Amanda to tell her all about their conversation.  Amanda got really mad that he was talking to/being nice to Elissa.  Then she cried of course.  Then she went on a rant about how she isn't playing a social game and just plans to win everything from here on out and that's how she will win the game with McCrae.  I literally laughed out loud at some of the stuff she was saying while crying.

None of this anger lasted that long though as Amanda and Elissa ended up making dinner together, and then much later in the night after some wine they hashed everything out and made theri respective apologies.  I don't think Elissa bought any of it...as she shouldn't, and I doubt Amanda bought any of it either, but there it is.  They said it...oh and Amanda cried.

Outside of all that, most of the night was spent listening to Aaryn campaign to no avail, and just having general chit chat.  Some played pool and some plucked their eyebrows.  Some hung out by the hot tub.  GinaMarie re-did her hair extensions...you get the idea.  It was pretty quiet.

As of now Andy is staying and Aaryn is going home.  I don't really see that changing.  Judd, Spencer, and GinaMarie seem completely solid in their new alliance, and I doubt Amanda or McCrae will try to flip it to keep Aaryn now that Aaryn is trying to turn the house against them and they know it.  Now we just have to wait until Thursday and hope someone gets a bug up their ass and causes some fireworks before then.  I think "Hurricane Poopie" (Aaryn) might have it in her, but we will just have to wait and see.  As always, you guys can follow me on twitter @ashes2ashes13 for more overnight feed updates.  Until tomorrow night...
