The First Big Blindside Coming?

I'm amazed that since Monday's initial 'shock' by Frank and Mike Boogie at Shane putting Frank up, things have been really calm.

Frank and Boogie are talking about who to talk to and what to say but they just don't seem overly concerned.  This morning the two were up and alone for quite a while before Joe joined them.  Boogie suggested to Frank that he should let Britney know that, on the off chance Frank were to go home on Thursday, Boogie would try to win the coaches competition and then trade Ian or Jenn for Shane and thus really damage Britney's game.

It will be interesting to see if Frank or Boogie try that tactic and if so if it has any impact on Britney who, along with Janelle, is more and more sure that the coaches will enter the game on Thursday (so the threat won't matter).

It still strikes me as odd for Mike Boogie to be so calm, I thought he would be relatively calm but I haven't seen the campaigning I expected.  Joe has also been fairly calm and that in itself would be enough to make me paranoid were I Frank or Mike.

The house is now on an inside lockdown and I expect it to be until the live show on Thursday.  Not sure if the Coaches will get a chance to join tomorrow but I would expect an endurance competition and some potential fireworks no matter who goes tomorrow.  Right now Mike Boogie is going to be stunned if he see's Frank walk out on Thursday.

The Power Of Veto Ceremony Results Are In.

As Ash described in her most recent post, things got a bit crazy last night with Janelle (mostly) convincing Britney of the need to get Frank out before the coaches enter the game as she now fully expects they will.  The pane came to fruition this afternoon and Frank is now on the block, replacing Ashley.

I wouldn't even dream of predicting who will go home on Thursday at this point.  Danielle should be the swing vote if Ian and Jenn both vote to evict Joe and Ashley and Wil voting to evict Frank.

Right after the POV meeting the feeds were (are) all a chatter with people reacting.  Britney lied and told Mike Boogie that they decided they needed to split the vote because otherwise Mike's team would have three votes and thus control who was evicted and they wanted to make sure Joe goes home and not Ashley.  She has assured him that the plan is still to vote out Joe.  Mike seemed to buy the story and proceeded to coach Frank and Ian to stay calm and they would need to start working on Danielle for her vote.  Shane also told Joe the same story.

Ian was a victim of collateral damage because it seems Britney used something he said earlier this week as a reason to put up Frank to control the vote.  I believe the jist of it was Britney claimed Ian wouldn't promise safety for Shane down the road.  Ian is not happy at all because he said what Britney claimed isn't accurate.

Never the less.  It will now be Frank or Joe walking out the door on Thursday.  Will whomever walks out return?  Since we know Kara and JoJo are in sequester we assume at least one HG may get the opportunity to return.  My guess is that if the producers want Frank or Joe to return they will set up a skill competition similar to the one Brendon defeated Lawon in last year.  Both Joe and Frank are much stronger competitors than JoJo or Kara.

Who do you think is going?  Was this a good or bad move by Shane?

Boogie has more material for the DR. Nutty Nominations

Boogie told Frank tonight that he is going to go into the Diary Room and do a bit about how he and Frank are running the house.  Saying that the two of them got a player (Shane) to nominate who THEY wanted and not his coach (Britney).

Yes indeed, somehow Shane decided to nominate Joe and Ashley instead of Joe and Frank which was who he had been saying he would go with - even saying as much to Frank after the Coaches Competition.

Shane seems to believe he has an agreement with Frank to work together - however Frank now feels he is so safe he shouldn't even try to win HoH next week.

Feel free to analyze and discuss the nominations to your hearts content - Shane wants Joe gone - but I can just see something weird happening.  What if Ian competes for and wins the POV and then saves Ashley - who will Shane put up then?  Frank, Jenn or Danielle?

The other event was the Coaches Competition (Screen cap on right) - sounds like it was different yet again in that several things went on.  Here is what I have figured out or guessed from the live feeds.

  • Janelle won and saved Wil
  • Ian won $3,000 somehow
  • Britney made Joe a Have Not
  • Ian is also a Have Not (not sure who made him one)
  • Frank may or may not be a have not.
  • They won a Sushi Party somehow.
  • Boogie may have won $6,000

Power of Veto Meeting - Its Danielle or JoJo

Monday's Power of Veto meeting went just as expected.  Shane used the POV that he won on Saturday and saved himself.  Frank then put up Danielle in his place, she was the only other person to vote agains him last Thursday.

Come this Thursday the house guests will vote between JoJo and Danielle - there will only be a total of six votes since Willie and Kara both left (under different circumstances) last week.

Janelle's team of Wil, Joe and Ashley will probably vote to evict JoJo (as of now), Boogies team of Jenn and Ian may as well - Britney hopes to convince them to vote out Danielle and then with Shane's vote to evict Daneielle force a tie that Frank could break.  But as things stand now I'm not even sure Shane will vote to evict Danielle as JoJo is strongly associated with Willie and is much more negative than Danielle who is working hard to 'kiss up' to people (like Ian at the left on Monday).

Britney's advice on Monday was to lay low, try not to make waves and not to hang out solely with Shane.  She followed some, but not all of Brit's advice and spent a lot of time sitting around talking with Shane.  Britney even told Shane yesterday that he might just need to vote out JoJo so he appears to be a part of the 'group.'

Willie Gone, POV Competition Results, Big Brother Gossip Show Tonight!

Hey hey hey...  did you hear about Willie?  Did you NOT read my last post?  Come on now!  Willie has been out of the house fo 24 hours at this point and thanks to his antics one of his teamates may go this week as well.  Here is whats up....

Wille was indeed given the boot and it was his own doing although looking and listening back, Joe was partly responsible from the sounds of it in that he 'egged' it on until Willie burst.  We'll dicuss it in a couple hours on the podcast.

If I didn't mention it last night(I think i did), Frank then nominated JoJo and Shane.

Today the Power of Veto competition was held. Playing along with Frank, Jojo and Shane was Ian, Ashley and Wil.  Joe was the host.

After a couple hours the feeds came back and we learned that the competition involved memory - and Shane won it for the second time in a row.

So Shane is now safe, and it looks like a pretty sure thing that Danielle will go up in his place, however there has been a little chatter of putting up one of Janelle's HGs to get out a better player than JoJo or Daniele.  As of this writing Boogie and Frank seem to agree that its best to get Danielle and thus Dan as well.

Tonight we have our weekly Big Brother Gossip show/podcast.  You can listen live at 10pm Eastern - 7pm BB time at the following ustream location - http://www.ustream.tv/channel/paulisded  If you miss it then you probably won't  see this because Scott will have already posted info on how to listen to the recording!

And there you have it - tomorrow's TV show will be most interesting.

Big Brother #14, Episode 4 Recap

I have a confession to make, and it pains me to admit this. In the interest of fairness, though, I have to admit to you, my fine readers, that I’m just not excited about tonight’s episode. While it has been a tumultuous first week in the house with seemingly every player trying to fit a whole season in just a few days, the actual eviction episode is bound to be anticlimactic.

It didn’t have to be that way, as the decision on who to evict changed almost every day. Wait, I take that back. It seemed to change by the hour! Yet somewhere last night the final decision was debated for the last time, and unless a handful of people are good at poker faces the outcome is predictable.

It’s not just the actual eviction that has me a bit less than enthusiastic. Last night’s CBS episode (and the previous two) showed that CBS believes that all the viewers care about are the so-called “legendary” coaches. Last night they had the entire focus of the show, and I don’t see that changing tonight. Meanwhile, the ten new players who don’t have Hantz as a last name are completely ignored except for filler entertainment.

However, I am a bit excited for the last few minutes of the show, as if it goes off as I’m hoping it could set the stage for an even more crazy few days. I’m not counting on this happening, though, as it is very rare that the broadcast version of this show lives up to any expectations.

So let’s get this over with by starting off with the predictable reactions to Shane’s decision to not use the veto. Guess what? The nominated people aren’t happy, and neither are their coaches! What a shocker! Oh yes, and Shane repeated the only sentence he knows about not wanting “blood on my hands”.

Frank heads upstairs to talk to Willie. He thinks that Willie is the key to staying in the house, so he sucks up to him by saying that he’s the only one he trusts. “You’re still good to stay in this house”, replies Willie. “I’m telling you that I’m going to get you your votes this week. The only way it would stop is if you run around and start talking to people.” FORESHADOW ALERT! Willie doesn’t stop babbling, though, and claims that he controls the entire house. Hmmm, interesting.

Dimwit Shane now comes up to talk to Willie, as does a bunch of other noobs, Britney, and Janelle. Willie informs them that as a group they need to decide who to keep. Wil makes a case for either decision, but Britney wants to boot Kara so that Dan is down to his last player. “He has magic powers, and when he talks to you hear an angel chorus.” Willie adds that if Kara becomes the next HOH (pretty unlikely), Dan will make her put up some of their crew. The decision has been made – it’s Kara that’s going home.

Janelle decides that she doesn’t want Dan “gunning” for her, so she goes outside and sits with him. “I don’t know why, but they really want to keep Frank…these people are stupid.” Meanwhile, Britney is giving her the evil eye (or maybe one of them is just wandering) as Janelle complains about going with the majority of the house. Oh, little Brit is pissed.

Now Britney is sitting inside eating cereal, and she just happens to notice that her name on the wall also has a place for the key. We’re supposed to believe a little light bulb just hit at that very moment, instead of the constant babbling about this very topic she had done with Janelle. She “now” believes the coaches may be entering the game at some point as a big twist.

She just has to head up to King Willie with this theory. “There’s two missing weeks.” She also believes that Janelle has partnered up with Dan to stay in the game. Ooooh, Willie is not happy because that screws up his entire game. “I’m nobody’s pawn in this game.”

Jump ahead to a sunny afternoon, and Britney is sitting with a number of people saying how she just wants to forget there is a game and “live harmoniously”. Willie, though, wants to stir some shit. “I want to have a house meeting with just the people that are playing the game.” Britney is not happy with this development. “I’m just seeing my entire game go down in flames.” Janelle attempts to follow them in, but Willie sends her packing.

After they head into the HOH, Dan tells Janelle and Britney that if that was one of his players. “I would have nixed that”. Janelle doesn’t seem to care, though.

Willie starts the ball rolling by saying that they’re being played by the coaches, and they could change the game by ignoring their coaches. Daniele interrupts, but I cannot for the life of me understand what she says.

Back outside, Britney wants to know where Boogie is. He’s napping. Meanwhile, Willie is telling everybody the key situation, and that the coaches may enter the game. Ian assists in this discussion by saying the show needs at least 13 people to play the game.

Oh wait, we have a Judas. Joe believes that they’re jumping the gun, playing too hard, and making too many assumptions. A quick edit goes to Wil claiming that he’s going to take a 24 hour break from “playing the game”. The segment ends with Willie proclaiming that if the coaches enter the game, they’ll walk away with the half million.

After a commercial break, it is time for round two of the big fight. Frank claims that he felt better about his chances before the “town hall meeting”, and he’s second guessing how Willie is playing the game, so he’s now back into the HOH to see “where his head’s at”. This won’t end well. Willie claims that nothing has changed, and that they “need to stay strong”. For some reason, Britney enters the room and Willie makes fun of Wil’s proclamation to not play for 24 hours. Frank shakes his head, and says he “was rubbed the wrong way”.

Frank heads back downstairs and informs Joe and Jenn that he doesn’t like this situation. Neither does Joe, who claims that Willie wants a split vote so nobody can figure out who voted for whom. A flashback shows this exact conversation, and now Frank is completely pissed. “I don’t think I can trust him, and I don’t think he’s somebody I want to work with.”

Completely incensed, Frank tells the story of Willie mocking Wil, and dumb Joe is “not happy with that all. That’s not part of the game.” So Joe runs and tells Wil, who “does not tolerate one frickin’ ounce of anybody making fun of anybody. Willie mocking me is going to come back to bite him in the ass, and I’m going to make damned sure it does.”

Wil, along with Frank, go off to let Britney know of this situation, and here is exactly where it turns from mocking his voice to a supposed “gay slur”. Britney doesn’t believe it. “I think Willie is a good person.” Of course, she runs upstairs and tells Willie he’s “screwed”. The entire story is repeated to Willie, and that Frank is supposedly turning the entire house against him.

Now we’re outside, and Willie is claiming to Frank that he’s been trying to save him all week. “Is that really true?”, Frank replies. “I’ve been begging everybody to keep you”, claims Willie. This silliness goes back and forth for quite some time, with Willie saying that all Frank had to do is shut up. “I have to protect myself. This is my game, Willie”. Finally, Willie stands up and screams that he wants everybody to vote Frank out.

Finally, Boogie can’t take it anymore and asks Willie “who died and left you boss?” Point to Boogie! “Why do you get to tell everybody what to do?” As he walks out, Boogie asks “are you all going to bullied by him?” Meanwhile, Britney looks ready to commit suicide.

Uh oh, before the commercials Julie promised a “big surprise” for the coaches. I’m scared.

After the break, it is time for Julie to talk to the house. She asks Jojo about the mood of the house. “I’ll be honest. A little weird; a little tension. I didn’t think it would be like this the first week so soon.” As a superfan, Julie wants to know from Ian if it has lived up to his expectations. He’s loved every second of it. Wil is then asked for one word to describe the past thirteen days – “goodness”. Ashley is asked the same question and replies “loosey goose”. Oh Lord. Willie says “crazy”, but Julie wants one word to describe his reign. As always, he goes off on a speech, but Julie presses him for one word. “Just extreme. Just pressure.” You idiot. Boogie is then asked if playing as a player or coach is harder, and he says it’s obviously the coaching role.

As they say on BBUK, it’s “crunch time”, and Frank gets to go first. He wants to stay, and promises to fight hard. “Nobody should let a bully dictate how they play this game, or how you vote. Bullying is not ok outside this house, or inside this house. If the coaches are telling you to get rid of me, think about what’s best for your game. But if they’re telling you to keep me, please listen to your coaches.”

Kara is up next, and she says she’s played an “honest” game (she hasn’t played ANY game), and she also reminds everybody to vote on what will be good for their individual game. She adds something about how a person on their team has made a deal with the person you’re trying to save. What does that even mean?

The voting now begins Daniele, who votes to evict Frank, as does Shane. Joe, though, votes to evict Kara, Ian. It’s now tied as we go to a break.

When voting resumes, Jojo votes to evict Frank. Jenn then votes to evict Kara, as does Wil. Ashley is the final vote, and her vote to evict Kara decides the contest! By a vote of 5-3, Kara is the second person evicted from Big Brother 14! Btw, CBS, take off the viewer tweets from my screen.

Once she finally leaves the house, Julie kicks off the interview by asking why she was evicted. She claims that people are scared of her coach, but overall she really doesn’t know. She claims that Dan was a great coach…the “best coach possible”. Julie then asks about Kara’s shyness, and whether it cost her. She now wishes she had gone against Dan’s wishes and talked more. The segment ends with taped goodbyes, and after Daneile’s typical indecipherable nonsense, we have to endure Joe’s idiot “you got the looks but you ain’t got the game!” Ugh. Shane says he’s sad to see her “long legs” go, and Dan ends by admitting he let her down. Oh, and Julie says that Hugh Hefner tweeted support for her.

It’s HOH competition time, but before we get to that, we are shown footage of the house being awakened multiple times last night by “BBTV Breaking News” of a cat burglar in the house. It’s a quiz game called “Big Brother Break-In”, and the questions are all about the videos they saw. Each question has a guilty or not guilty response, and the last one standing is the new HOH.

Everybody has the correct “guilty” answer on whether the burglar stole a carpet tile. The second question is about the number of bites of food in the storage room, and Shane is now out. The next question is about which leg he shaved, and all but Frank and Wil are out! They both answer not guilty to a hat question, and they’re both wrong. They also both guess correctly for the next question, but a question about gloves leads to a wrong answer from Wil. Frank is the next HOH!!! Willie is not happy, and immediately storms out of the backyard!

Before the show ends, we head back into the house, and Julie congratulates Frank. “It feels great to go from the hot seat to the guy who is going to be upstairs next week.” Boogie is asked about his feeling about his player winning, and he’s “super elated. My man was out the door 48 hours ago.” Ugh, he calls the HOH Chilltown North. Janelle is then asked to compare this past week to her first two appearances on the show, and she says it was like they played three weeks in one week. “Usually, everybody knows who is leaving. This time it was up in the air until the last minute.”

Julie then addresses the coaches, and says that the winner of the coach’s competition “has an even bigger decision to make”. The winner can either make one of their player’s safe, or choose to trade one of their players for another coach’s player. Ugh. Everybody is eligible to be traded except for the HOH.

And…scene. Were you  happy with tonight’s episode? Are you glad Frank was saved, and ultimately won HOH? How about this insipid “big” coach’s twist?

Big Brother #14, Episode 3 Recap

I almost forgot there was a Big Brother broadcast tonight, as the day my furniture was to be delivered has finally arrived! Yes, no more sitting on boxes watching on a tiny kitchen TV. I spent the last three hours re-hooking my surround sound stereo system when I noticed that we were only a few minutes away from the telecast. Oops!

It’s no secret what we’re going to see tonight. There will be a veto competition and a veto ceremony. That’s the important stuff, and will be fleshed out with plenty of scenes featuring Willie and Britney plotting and growing more paranoid by the minute. Oh yeah, some awful diary room lines from Joe, and it’s safe to say there will be more Ian silliness.

As always, the show commences with the reactions to the supposedly shocking nominations of Frank and Kara. Guess what? Neither are happy with these developments. “I’m completely blindsided”, says Frank, who had a side deal set up with Willie. Boogie says that while lying is a part of Big Brother, the one thing you don’t want to do is “lie to me”. Oh please.

Dan walks into the bedroom to console Kara, and admits he’s worried that he’ll be down to only one player. Dan promises to do everything he can to save her. “You know who your coach is, right? I’m not going to let that happen.”

Meanwhile, Wil, Britney, Willie, and Janelle are celebrating their big move. Janelle had noticed Boogie’s “Chilltown, population 2” shirt, and claims that it means him and Dan. “Boogie is like such a tool box…he thinks he’s the best player in this game and his ego is enormous.”

Boogie, though, is consoling Frank, saying that in the past the first girl nominated goes into a shell. “Let her cry.” He advises him to become friends with Willie, and not act mad at the nomination. “The biggest thing is to make the house feel comfortable.” Jenn, who was sitting in on the conversation, says that this will be helpful to when she is nominated.

Now Frank is talking to Willie, who admits that he believes Boogie is gunning for him. Frank is not happy with the coach’s influence on the players, as the game is supposedly theirs to win or lose. “I’m not worried about Boogie winning or losing.” Frank adds that he wants the two of them to go deep in the game. “Don’t worry about Boogie.”

The action moves upstairs, where Britney and Janelle are figuring out who should go home. “It’s a tossup.” Britney believes they have the ultimate influence in the house, and Janelle is also gloating. They’re both a bit sickening in their cockiness. “Cheers to a great first week.”

Dan and Boogie are also talking, and Boogie says that he thought Frank was going to be the last key. Dan states the obvious by saying “Team Blonde is actually a reality.” You think? Boogie points out in the diary room that the two men are the two winners in the house, and it would be embarrassing for either of them to leave before Janelle and Britney. “The girls are kind of the also-rans…I’m going to make sure that doesn’t happen.”

After a commercial break, its filler time as Ian has a stupid human trick. He is able to kick himself in the head. Yes, that’s his great party trick. Um, yeah. He thinks that doing silly stuff like this will keep him around.

With the shits and grins segment over, it’s time to pick players for the veto competition. Um, Dan, I think most people have seen the show before. We do know how vetos work. Willie pulls out Daniele’s name, which pleases Kara, who pulls out Shane’s name. Frank’s pick is Wil, and Boogie is pissed that “nothing is going my way”. Willie chooses JoJo to be the host.

Before we get to the competition, Kara pulls Shane into the have-not room to talk strategy. Too bad Shane is hoping for something different, as when “you’re alone you never know what can happen”. Oh, you silly tool. She wants to know if he’ll use the veto if he wins, and he is kind of non-committal.  Wait a second here. Did he just tell Kara that he doesn’t see her as a threat??? Nice work, shell boy!

Shane is next approached by Frank, and they both compliment on how awesome they both look. “You’re jacked, dude.” Yet, just like he said to Kara, he doesn’t want to piss off Willie if he does win the veto. Frank is a bit hopeful, though, and says that if he does win and use it that is a big indication of how they can trust each other.

Oh boy, Boogie is now on his way to the HOH room to talk to Britney. He wants to see just how tight her and Janelle are, and it’s a pretty tense chat. “Here it is day 6, and Mike Boogie finally decides to introduce himself”, Britney says in the diary room. Boogie lets her know that he thinks she has full control of Willie, which she denies, and says he’d love to see somebody like Joe replace Frank on the block. “Are Janelle’s people off limits”, he asks Britney, who obviously denies it. He lets her know that if Jenn ends up replacing Frank, he’ll know what the real story is here. Britney claims his “little tactics don’t rattle me. I thought he was supposed to be good at this game.”

As you may expect, Britney runs right to Janelle, who obviously isn’t surprised that Boogie tried to intimidate her. By the way, is Janelle on medication? Her voice is almost in slow motion. Britney is proud of herself that her “smear campaign” against Boogie seems to be working.

Britney leaves the room and is immediately replaced by Boogie, who now wants to go after Dan’s remaining players so there are just the three judges left with three players. Guess what Janelle’s reaction is to this conversation? Yeah, I’m tired of Janelle bitching about her big secret crush.

Oh Lord, now Janelle runs to Dan and narcs off Boogie. Yep, this stupid show is really going to be all about the judges. Here we have 11 new players, and we have yet to meet any of them except for Willie and Frank (to a lesser extent). The others have been extras in this dumb soap opera. I thought they were just advisors!

More filler after the break, as Jojo is frightening me with her Long Island accent. It’s time to just skip it.

But wait, now Jojo is in a tiny bikini as she announces it is time for the veto comp. They all head out to see a backyard of washing machines, laundry, and tons of soap suds. Jojo claims that she’s the perfect host because “where I come from, we know a thing or two about laundry”. What does that even mean?

So to win the veto, the players need to find $1.30. Coins are hidden in the suds, and as they find them they must throw them into the vending machine. The first to get exactly $1.30 wins!

Just like this past Sunday, Daniele gave some running commentary, but I can’t understand anything she says. Wil, Kara, Willie, and Daniele have problems tossing the coins into the slot, making this a competition between Shane and Frank. A pile of dollar coins is found by Frank, but he constantly misses. Finally Willie steals some of his stash, and all three are at $1.25 (I think). They’re all looking for a nickel coin, and Shane narrowly makes it ahead of Willie!

After yet another commercial break, Shane is seen celebrating with Willie, Britney, and Jojo. “My boys killed it”, says Jojo. “We’re definitely by far the strongest team.” Yeah, yeah, yeah, we get it as they all proclaim themselves so unstoppable. Britney spills the beans to Shane about what Boogie earlier told her, and that he can’t use the veto. Shane claims in the diary room that he’s not so sure what he’s going to do.

Shane then heads into the have-not room to talk to Dan and shiny-knees Kara. Again, he states that while he wants to save Kara, he is still worried about pissing off Willie. A similar conversation is held with Frank. Why didn’t they just replay the earlier footage? It’s the same conversation! Oh wait, there is one difference, as Boogie also has a chat with Shane.

It’s the moment of truth, as Shane heads to the wall of keys and repeats the same garbage he has said at least three times earlier tonight. Frank and Kara also do a passable job at reading the standard pre-veto script. The crew is brought in, and Kara’s plea is that she’s “shy”. Hmmm, interesting. Frank just says if he’s pulled off the block “appreesh”. What???

After the requisite dramatic pause, Shane decides…to NOT use the veto. Yeah, what a shocker. He says he doesn’t want any “blood on his hands”, and they both promise to fight to get the votes needed to stay in the house. Oh yeah, and Dan says Boogie is “untrustworthy”.

So that’s it for tonight’s show. What did you think of the focus on the coaches? Would you like to see more of the noobs besides Willie and Frank? Where was Jenn and the others tonight? Who will go home? Let us know your thoughts!

Willie has a blowup with Frank last night. Who ended up in worse shape?

Have you heard about the fight that took place last night yet? Surely you have.

Read Scott's last post to get up to speed if you missed all the 'goings ons' earlier in the day.

The fight between Frank and Willie came about because Willie got word from Britney that Frank was going around saying that Willie was saying, "homosexual slurs" about Wil (see the youtube clip below to listen to exactly what Willie said and how he said it).  Willie decided to confront Frank on it and that was the spark.  Frank said he only said Willie was making fun of Wil but that didn't calm Willie down.  Willie was very frustrated that he felt he has been lobbying all week to keep Frank safe and now he found out Frank was bad mouthing him. Franks main issue in his reply to Willie was that he was mad Willie seemed to be playing with the votes - trying to make them come out a certain way instead of just working for a 7-1 vote (assuming Danielle will vote to evict Frank no matter what).

In the end Willie came out looking much the worse.  He is now determined to try to get Frank out, the problem as I see it is he doesn't have the support.  Willie thinks he has Ashley's support but Ashley seems on board with Joe, Frank, Ian, Wil and Jenn as a part of the new "Diversity" alliance (the members are all on Boogie and Janelle's team but neither Janelle or Boogie had a part in its formation).

I'd say that around 36 hours from the first live eviction, Kara will be heading out on a 5-3 vote.  I'd also imagine the producers want to see Frank stay as well so expect little encouragement to change the current feelings in the house.

Flashback times to see the action:

  • Tuesday 2:13pm Cam 3 - Willie makes fun of Wil to Brit and Frank.
  • Tuesday 2:53pm Cam 1 - Frank tells Joe and Jenn what Willie said.
  • Tuesday 10:15pm Cam 1 - Willie get upset in the HoH room about the "gay slur" rumors.
  • Tuesday 10:24pm Cam 3 - Willie goes off on Frank - lasts over 10 minutes.

Big Brother #14, Episode 2 Recap

So this past Thursday we were reacquainted with four so-called “legends” and twelve newbies, one of which left before we even had a chance to say hello. Did we really learn anything about any of these people, though? Sixteen people spread over 42 minutes of actual broadcast time really doesn’t give us much to work with except for the fact that Willie Hantz is related to some Survivor goon. Apparently, that’s like a Beatle entering the house, but since I don’t watch that show it was a waste of precious screen time for the rest of the cast.

Tonight, we’ll hopefully get to learn a bit more about this “ragged company”. (Ten points to anybody who catches that lyrical gem.) Is there a personality to be found in this house? Are Joe’s eyes as frightening as they appear? Most importantly to some of my friends, is Ian every bit the superfan’s hopes we’ve been made to believe? (I vote no.)

And…here we go! Oh Lord, they go over the top in their descriptions of the noobs AND “legends”. Of course, we have to recap the Hantz bullshit. ENOUGH!!! Two minutes in, and I’m already annoyed!

Oh, for fuck’s sake. Now we have to spend MORE time recapping Jodi’s eviction! Dan claims he kicked out Jodi because his other two team members, Daniele and Kara, get along. Interesting, and kind of makes sense.

With Jodi gone, everybody disperses, and Boogie tries to make a joke. Tries is the key word. Yes, Wil, we know the “game has begun”. Daniele and Kara hug, and Kara says they immediately hit if off. Daniele adds something in the diary room, but I can’t figure out a word she says.

Boogie doesn’t waste any time, and he goes to Dan and asks him if he’s “ready to Will it up”. I have a feeling it’s going to be like Will is indeed in the house this season, as Boogie’s entire Big Brother life exists because of Dr. Will. BTW, CBS, quit attempting to create trending topics. It’s boring and inept.

Meanwhile, Janelle tells Britney that the boys are working together, and because they’ve both been played they should work the “Girl Power” angle to get rid of Dan. “They thrive on chaos.”

HOH room reveal – I’ll skip ahead. Nothing to see here that’s any way interesting.

Ok, now Ian is in his boxers reveling in being in the house. He claims he’s going to investigate every inch of the house. Upstairs, the coaches and Willie watch him as he goofs around the house. Britney wonders if he remembers he’s on live streams, and they completely lose it when Ian crawls under a couch. “So weird!”

Now it’s Britney’s turn to make some deals. She has a bunch of people in the HOH, and she tells Willie that in the first week everybody will vote what the HOH wants. Oh really? If her team and Janelle’s team vote as a block, they’ll get out the person they want. Janelle claims that Dan’s fave player of all time is Boogie, so “of course, those two will work together”.  Willie adds that he’s going to be a big target because they believe he’s Russell’s brother…which he then admits to those in the room that is true.

Finally, the deal is supposedly made. My Lord, that took forever.

Oh wait, there’s more, as Janelle brings in the rest of her team to repeat the same plan. Cue Billy Preson’s “Will It Go Round in Circles”! Oh God, Joe is clearly the guy who will speak in the diary room in a way he NEVER speaks in the house. Make it stop!

After the first commercial break, everybody is hanging out outside, and Willie decides to try to get more people into his alliance. He brings Frank up into the HOH, who informs Willie that he has had no strategy conversations with his coach, Boogie. Willie thinks the two of them are similar, and he wants a deal that he won’t put him up next week, no matter what Boogie advises. “I’m here to play my game. I’m not here to play Boogie’s game.” Willie claims to be sold.

Ian is now seen walking into a room of people listening to Janelle babble about her baby. He’s clearly not comfortable, and Janelle calls him a “creeper…he has this weird thing where he can’t stop moving”. We see a montage of most of the girls (and Wil) making similar comments. Oh Lord, he even streaks.

Now Boogie and Frank are talking early one morning, and Boogie asks if he’s worried about being nominated. Frank claims on a scale of 1-10 he’s only at a one. Boogie says he’s impressed because Frank has reached out to Willie. Actually, it pains me to say this but Boogie actually makes sense.

The house is then brought into the living room for a Julie Chen announcement that there is a coach’s competition to save one of their player’s from nomination for the week. Britney knows she’s in trouble as she has the “strength of a three year-old”. This competition also will determine the week’s have-nots.

This competition is described by Ashleigh as “like Preakness…” and I can’t understand another word she says. The coaches come out with outfits that include stuffed horses, and each round has two coaches competing. They have to chase each other on a slippery surface and yank the tail from the other. Boogie and Britney are up first, and (FINALLY) Boogie catches up to Britney for the win.

Dan has all kinds of trouble in his round, although he claims to be throwing it, and Janelle easily beats him. Boogie versus Janelle for the final round! Oh yeah, this is revenge for season seven! Um, no. Le’ts not be silly. Janelle is indeed a beast in this comp, but eventually Boogie catches up and wins because, of course, he “wanted it more” (one of my least fave clichés ever).

Mike then gets to pick a person to be safe for the week, and after babbling for quite some time he chooses Ian. Boogie’s reasoning is because his weirdness has made people uncomfortable, while Jenn has stepped up her social game and Frank is “the most popular guy in the house”.

All of the coaches must now make a have-not pick, which doesn’t make them happy. Britney chooses Shane, Dan goes for Daniele, Janelle chooses Ashley, and Boogie’s pick is Ian. Now I must beg CBS to stop Joe from his asinine diary room scripts! The segment ends with the house being shown the slop and horrific have-not beds.

Janelle and Britney are now seen in the HOH, and Willie is asked if Dan has talked to them at all. Willie says that making Ian safe is screwing up his plans. They scheme about who Dan and Boogie don’t want to lose the most from their teams, and Kara and Frank’s names come up. Both girls think he’s the “biggest player” and “most dangerous” in the house, but unfortunately that goes against Willie’s deal with him.

Dan and Boogie are now shown discussing the female coaches, and Boogie thinks that Janelle is a bit “better” than Britney. After mentioning how “young and naïve” some of these people are, Dan asks who he would sacrifice from his team. “Jenn.” He adds that Frank should be a target but doesn’t think the others are smart enough to figure that out. Dan asks if the other girls are jealous of Kara, but Boogie thinks she’s nice enough and not bitchy enough to really cause any friction. Of course, Britney and Janelle are not up to the mental level of himself.

Filler time, as Joe is cooking a huge dinner for the house. Unfortunately, he’s also using up most of the food in the house. Boogie wonders if maybe he’s an expendable person, so he goes in to talk to Willie, who claims he has no idea who he is going to nominate. Boogie says all “chefs” are hotheads and crazy, which is an interesting theory. On second thought, Boogie is correct. Boogie advises him to pick somebody off and then blend back into the crowd. Cocky Boogie believes he planted the needed seed.

Finally, we get to the nominations and NOTHING has changed from the template of the last ten years. Willy reads the script, a handful of people say they’re nervous, and we get shots of keys. The house is called in, and keys are pulled by (in order) Jojo, Shane, Wil, Daniele, Ashley, Jenn, and Joe. Yes, Kara and Frank are nominated.

Boogie is shocked! Willie says this has been a tough decision, but he had never talked to Kara and somehow it “got weird” between him and Frank (which, of course, was never shown in this episode).

Frank is “completely flabbergasted” because Willie is the one that came to him, and so he’s going to do everything he can to stay. Kara thinks that having Dan as his coach is hurting his chances, while Britney calls this a “successful first week in coaching”. Boogie has now figured out that Janelle is definitely with Britney, and anybody that goes after Boogie has “a little trouble coming your way”. Oh please.

That’s it for tonight. What did you think of the first real look at the cast? Has anybody surprised you, for the better or worse? Let us know your thoughts!

First 12 hours of the Big Brother Live Feeds - many questions answered.

Hiya,  I was up until 4am BB time and so I am VERY tired but I wanted to share with you what all I learned over the course of the 1st half day (roughly) of the live feeds.  I'm just going to bullet point you to death as I am too tired to try to organize things.  There really is a TON and I know I will miss some..

  • Frank and Kara nominated
  • Ian is 'exempt' (safe) this week via a power won by Boogie in some coaches competition.  Had he known Frank would be nominated he probably would have exempted him but he thought he was safe because Willie and Frank had a mini alliance it appears.
  • Ashley, Danielle, Ian and Shane are "Have Nots" - perhaps the coaches each had to select one of their team members.  Total speculation by me.
  • The old Pandora's Box room IS another bedroom - opens into the HoH room only I think.  Janelle and Britney slept in it last night and were using the HoH bathroom.
  • The memory wall now has 16 spots on it.  Coaches on top, 3 hgs below each coach.
  • Power of Veto competition is today.  Willie, Kara, Frank, Shane, Daniele and Wil will compete - JoJo to host.
  • Willie would prefer to vote out Kara - he is working very closely with Frank (with Boogies encouragement) and Frank and Willie seem to hope to work together & help each other stay in the house.
  • Britney and Janelle appear to be working closely together - both want Frank out badly to hurt Boogies team.  They have spent hours trying to convince Willie that Frank is the one that needs to go.
  • However - the Coaches MAY get to enter the game in a few weeks - another reason to want Frank, seen as a VERY strong player, out.
  • That possibility of the coaches entering was discussed by Britney and Janele around 3:50am - Britney and Janelle laughed that Willie might be upset to know they might enter the game.
  • Britney and Janelle don't know if Boogie thinks they will enter the game (thats why I say the MAY - not they WILL - doesn't seem 100% confirmed yet).
  • I do think Kara's Playmate secret is out (heard Janelle mention she was a Playmate of the Year).
  • Willie's secret is also out - at least I heard someone ask him if people were allowed to smoke on Survivor.  That to me means they know he has connections.

I THINK those are the major points - lots of things we learned about the people and gameplay.  Like Janelle and Britney can't figure out what Dan was thinking with his 3 picks.  Daniele seems depressed, Kara was very weepy last night.  Ashley apparently hurt herself (back?) pretty badly in a competition, she was on some serious meds last night and is really havign problems moving today.  The girls drank last night in an agreement with the guys to let them drink tonight (rationing the booze).  Janelle REALLY doesn't like Boogie and sees him as a big threat in the house.  Ian is not doing well in the house - sorry folks - just a matter of time before he goes, same with Jenn it seems.

Ok - thats all for now.  POV results when they are known.  Feeds look GREAT on my iPhone... not super pleased yet with them on my laptop to be totally honest.
