Call Me Crazy

I don't know if I'm more excited that the Big Brother 12 season has finally begun or because the power has shifted in the house again this week, but I am so excited that Rachel won HOH tonight!

If you had asked me last week how I would be feeling if this happened tonight, I probably would have told you that I'd be cancelling my feeds. Seriously. So I'm as shocked as anybody that I'm actually looking forward to a Rachel HOH week.

Yes, I know there's going to be Brenchel kissy slurpy time up in the HOH room. I'm not too fond of that. Yes, I know there's going to be Rachel's crazy laughter and mood swings. I can deal with that. Yes, I know that Brendon will be sewing the fringe that's on the bag that he's given to Rachel that holds his testicles. I've been expecting that additional adornment.

But I'm excited because Rachel being HOH this week will shake things up in the house. I don't care if she makes emotional or strategical (did you see what I did there?) nominations this week. I don't care if she nominates people because of their favorite color or favorite movie. Let's just have something really exciting happen this week after the fantastic night tonight.

And while I'm still a Rachel hater, I have to give it to the girl. She's playing hard. She (and Brendon) are doing what it takes to stay in the game when both of them have been targeted since the very beginning. I have respect for her (and Brendon) when it comes to that.

So are you glad or mad that Rachel won HOH? Who do you think she's going to nominate? Are you finding yourself cheering for Brenchel as underdogs? Finally, I'm interested in where you think Kristen would be at in this game without Hayden right now. Let me know in the comments!

Matt's HOH Blog

Remember how I ridiculed Rachel's HOH blog last week? Her rambling and almost unreadable writings - not to mention how many times she mentioned Brendon - were close to driving me insane. Matt's HOH blog is now up and thankfully it's much more intelligible.

First of all, Matt thinks a whole lot of himself. He lets you know that in his first paragraph.

Hello America! It's your favorite guilty pleasure...the one you hate to love...the "brains" of The Brigade...the diabolical super-genius...Matt!!!

Um Matt, I don't know about the diabolical super-genius thing.

I'm quite confident that after getting home and watching this season, I will have lost the friendships of at least half of this house. But the remainder that choose to forgive my deplorable game-character and see me for what I truly am (the greatest Big Brother player in the history of the game...yeah, I said it), I will be close to for years to come.

He's already calling himself the greatest Big Brother player in the history of the game? Matt, let me just tell you that you're no Dr. Will.

So, as you are aware, my nominations did not exactly go as originally planned this week. Not to worry, America! The diabolical super-genius is fast at work rectifying the situation! It's great to watch Andrew go completely mental, and in hindsight I think this is all going to work out BETTER for me than if the plan to backdoor Brendan went through as it was originally supposed to. At this point in time I feel completely safe next week, and I think the house still thinks I'm a total nitwit. Perfect on all accounts!

Matt, let's just say that you got a little lucky this week. If it weren't for Andrew screwing his game over with that ridiculous POV speech, you'd have The Amazingly Horizontal Kathy going home. And I wouldn't consider her eviction from the house earth-shattering.

The rest of his blog thanks his wife for sticking by his side through the whole disease lie and how much The Brigade is running the show. Personally, it seems to me that Brendon and Rachel are running the show Matt. Many of you have made them Enemy #1 but can't seem to get rid of them no matter how hard you try. Concentrating on them so much has left a lot of people floating around just waiting.

So what do you think of Matt's HOH blog? Did he come across as pompous or just confident? Are you glad he at least knows how to write comprehensibly?

And because it's Thursday, who do you want to win the HOH tonight?

Almost Can't Watch

Folks, I'm having a hard time with this season's houseguests. Tomorrow night will make two weeks that the live feeds have been on and I almost can't bring myself to watch them. I have never felt this way after two weeks in. I can't imagine how boring the final two weeks will be. Can you imagine watching two of any of these people in the house the final week?

I am tired of CBS forcing the Brendon/Rachel fauxmance down my throat. The minute those two idiots are together in a room (especially when they're making out), they have to put all of the feeds on them. I'm sorry but I can't stand either of these two people. And then to show me two different camera angles of them making out or crying or massaging or talking about science is enough to make me ill. Stop it CBS! I know damned good and well that there are other idiots in the house that are more entertaining to watch.

And now we have this stupid Kristen and Hayden showmance? Give me a break. They're trying to keep it so secret to everybody but most of the house knows about them. (And I'm sure by now that Kristen's boyfriend and Hayden's girlfriend know about it.) I really feel for Andrew having to try and sleep next their makeout sessions. Oh and Kristen, stop being such a tease. Either tell him you're just going to kiss and cuddle or let the guy get his rocks off.

Kathy is the biggest waste of space in the house this season though. The only thing entertaining about her is watching her constantly cockblock Rachel and Brendon up in the HOH room. She's useless at competitions, not very smart, and needs to be taught how to apply mascara properly.

Monet is a boring whiner. Britney is a catty bitch. I'm sick of watching Andrew skate by and not participate in house activities because of his religion. The only thing adorable about Lane is that he's dumb as rocks. And I don't even know where to begin with Enzo. The only halfway interesting people in the house are Matt and Ragan and that's pretty sad. Because in previous seasons they would have been known as shadows in the house.

Last night we were treated to a house meeting because Rachel didn't like rumors she was hearing about the house not voting Monet out. I'm sorry Rachel, but you have no power anymore and the rest of the house is gunning for your boyfriend's ass next week. Shut up and deal with it. People don't have to do what you want them to do and if they decide to flip and get rid of Matt instead of Monet that's your problem.

I would have preferred a house meeting over the guys keeping the toilet seat up or people wiping their boogers on the kitchen counter or being too loud at night. Those would have been more interesting meetings to have.

Grodner, give these idiots something to do in the house. Or at the very least, give us a better choice of what to watch on the feeds. I don't care about Brenchel and Krayden!!!

Love Is In The Air

Things have become a little crazy in the Big Brother house haven't they? While Rachel isn't exactly the person I wanted to become the new HOH, it's great for drama. She went from being on the block and being a Have Not to the Head of Household and being able to eat. So for Rachel, she's going to be having the best week ever.

Part of the reason for that is she's going to be able to nominate the two women who she doesn't like. (I didn't say brains came with the HOH power.) Within an hour of the feeds coming back on after the show last night, she'd already told Brendon that she's going to be nominating Britney and Monet with Monet her primary target for eviction. Matt's going to be in trouble if either one of these are taken off the block as Rachel told Brendon that he's her replacement choice.

I'm still not exactly sure why she dislikes Monet so much but it stems from something that happened between the two of them before the live feeds began. We've heard Monet complain over and over again about how Rachel rolled her eyes when Rachel pulled Monet's name from the bag for the POV competition. (If you were watching closely on Wednesday's POV show, it was a huge eye roll.) Monet never talked about anything that she thought she might have done to Rachel to cause the dischord between them so perhaps Monet has no idea what she did either.

Heaven help you if you were watching Rachel last night on the feeds or on Big Brother After Dark! She received a bottle of Patron tequila in her HOH basket in addition to the other goodies. Rachel went on and on and on and on about how she can't believe Big Brother gave her tequila. Well duh Rachel! Big Brother wants you and Brendon to get hammered so y'all have good sloppy sex in the HOH room. They need footage for the showmance script er storyline. Fortunately for my eyes, there was no Brenchel sex last night. They just took shots and she got hammered is all.

Speaking of sex though, there's another couple in the house! No, I'm not talking about the fish. Late late last night, Kristen and Hayden spent hours awkwardly flirting and eventually spooning in bed. There was no kissy kissy going on but I see it heading that way eventually. They were situated in the double bed in the orange room (poor Andrew will never get any sleep) before she decided to get up and go to her own bed. It will be interesting to watch this romance blossom - unlike the icky partnering between Brendon and Rachel.

In some miscellaneous news, the sound makers were found in the house by Monet and others so they were able to sleep in peace last night. Britney got pissed at Andrew for being happy that Rachel won HOH. She expressed her displeasure at his happiness and Andrew basically told her to shut the fuck up. You go boy! Monet immediately told Andrew that she had nothing to do with Britney's little episode in hopes of getting on his good side. Monet and Britney are pretty sure they're in danger of being nominated so it won't be a surprise to them when it happens later today.

Well, the hamsters have been awakened from their slumber. The Have-Have Nots competition will be held today and then the nomination ceremony will be later. Also, at some point today, the hamsters will probably be told who the saboteur is/was for Sunday's show. While you're waiting for all of the events check out Julie's extended interview with Annie right here and Annie's Early Show interview here.

So what are your thoughts on all of the love in the house? Do you think Rachel would be making the right or wrong decision nominating Britney and Monet? Who would you nominate if you were Rachel? Spill it folks!

Let's Go!

There is finally going to be some action up in the Big Brother house today! We are definitely ready for it and I know the hamsters are as well. Now all we have to do is wait to see who becomes HOH tonight to find out exactly how much action there will be.

It's pretty much a given that Annie will be voted out tonight by an 11-0 vote. I suppose there's a chance of a hinky vote by the saboteur but still. Annie knows she's pretty much a goner but it hasn't stopped her from trying to swing some votes - constantly. I appreciate that she's not just laying down and dying but the other houseguests are really sick of it. They see her coming and want to run the other way.

Yesterday, Hayden wrote his HOH blog and received the Big Brother digital camera to take pictures with. He wrote that he believes Britney is the most dangerous person in the house and I tend to agree with him on that. Hayden is worried about Enzo too even though he's in an alliance with him. And it's interesting that Hayden also singled out Kristen in his blog. I do believe he has a little crush on her.

Big Brother 12 houseguests - Week 1Also yesterday, they received oversized golf clubs and balls to practice with in the backyard. That means tonight's HOH competition will involve them using something to hit something else and will be elimination-style. Big shocker right? Britney seems to have some golfing experience and was doing quite well in the practice. Matt, Lane, and Enzo? Not so good.

The saboteur will be revealed to us tonight during the live show. I'm not quite sure how I feel about that. At first, I was excited to be learning who the saboteur is but I think I'd really rather they keep it a secret to us so that we can try and figure it out on our own. Personally, I still have no idea who it is. There are a few people I have in mind (Matt, Britney, Kathy) and there are a few people I know it definitely isn't (Andrew, Lane, Hayden). But I guess I'm going to find out who it is tonight regardless of whether I want to or not.

Now I definitely can't wait to find out who wins HOH tonight and who they nominate tomorrow. If you have the live feeds, you'll want to make sure they're on at 9:00 PM ET to watch the aftermath of the HOH competition as well as all of the ego-stroking and drama the rest of the night.

Who do you want to win HOH tonight? Do you think the vote to evict Annie will be unanimous tonight? Do you think Annie will go quietly into Julie Chen's arms or do you think there will be some drama in her leaving? Who do you think the saboteur is and would you rather find out tonight from CBS or would you prefer figuring it for yourself? Let us know in the comments!

Enjoy The Ride

This has got to be one of the slowest starts to a Big Brother season in a very very long time.  Now I don't necessarily say that because it's a bad thing.  But relatively new fans are finding themselves discombobulated over the lack of activity.

With the exception of a couple of Annie flare-ups, there hasn't really been any drama.  Some might call those Annie moments 'dramatic' but not me.  What about the showmance between Brendon and Rachel? That might qualify as drama to some (those in comas perhaps?) but not me.

Let's look at this way.  In the first week of last season's Big Brother 11, there was the huge fight between Jeff and Russell over the word 'technotronics' where Jeff called Russell a 'fag' (sorry Jeff lovers but you can't re-write the past).  Then in a slightly separate incident, Braden called Kevin a 'beaner'. (Reminder to folks: we're not going into the rights and wrongs of anything in these examples.  We're just going over the drama.)  BB10 started out kinda tame but we did witness April and Ollie swappin' spit on the first night of the live feeds.  The BB10 house was also definitively divided into two groups with the whole 'you can't talk to the other side' mentality.  And that mentality was pretty damned annoying let me tell ya!

Big Brother 9 did not start out tame at all.  When the feeds came on, we were treated to a full blown fight between Parker and Jen.  He was calling her a selfish bitch and we found out the Jen/Ryan secret relationship twist had already been discovered.  Sharon and Jacob had already been evicted when the feeds came on as well.  And then the next night, Neil voluntarily left the house and Sharon was brought back in as Josh's partner.  Later that night Jen and Ryan had sex in the downstairs bathroom.  And then the third night brought us Natalie giving oral pleasure to Matty (ick). The sixth night of the feeds had a huge fight between almost everybody with Amanda going around accusing Alex of trying to touch her crotch while she slept and Chelsia telling Amanda she should hang herself.

I don't mind that this season of Big Brother is starting out slow.  I like how I'm able to kinda get to know these folks before I'm forced into immediately liking or disliking them.  When folks bust onto the feeds with fighting and name-calling, you find yourself unconsciously making the decision to either hate or love them.  And it can take some time before you're able to get past those first impressions.

So I'm fine with Annie causing some not too dramatic waves.  I don't mind Brendon and Rachel having their fauxmance or watching The Brigade planning the game for their ultimate win.  It's just going to make it that much sweeter when The Brigade falls apart or when Brendon and Rachel break up.  Or when Kristen and Britney get into it.  Or when Enzo goes up on the block.  Or when Andrew is confronted for his oddball personality.  And then there's still the whole saboteur twist that needs to be unfolded.

Just give it time folks and enjoy the ride!
