Matt's HOH Blog

Remember how I ridiculed Rachel's HOH blog last week? Her rambling and almost unreadable writings - not to mention how many times she mentioned Brendon - were close to driving me insane. Matt's HOH blog is now up and thankfully it's much more intelligible.

First of all, Matt thinks a whole lot of himself. He lets you know that in his first paragraph.

Hello America! It's your favorite guilty pleasure...the one you hate to love...the "brains" of The Brigade...the diabolical super-genius...Matt!!!

Um Matt, I don't know about the diabolical super-genius thing.

I'm quite confident that after getting home and watching this season, I will have lost the friendships of at least half of this house. But the remainder that choose to forgive my deplorable game-character and see me for what I truly am (the greatest Big Brother player in the history of the game...yeah, I said it), I will be close to for years to come.

He's already calling himself the greatest Big Brother player in the history of the game? Matt, let me just tell you that you're no Dr. Will.

So, as you are aware, my nominations did not exactly go as originally planned this week. Not to worry, America! The diabolical super-genius is fast at work rectifying the situation! It's great to watch Andrew go completely mental, and in hindsight I think this is all going to work out BETTER for me than if the plan to backdoor Brendan went through as it was originally supposed to. At this point in time I feel completely safe next week, and I think the house still thinks I'm a total nitwit. Perfect on all accounts!

Matt, let's just say that you got a little lucky this week. If it weren't for Andrew screwing his game over with that ridiculous POV speech, you'd have The Amazingly Horizontal Kathy going home. And I wouldn't consider her eviction from the house earth-shattering.

The rest of his blog thanks his wife for sticking by his side through the whole disease lie and how much The Brigade is running the show. Personally, it seems to me that Brendon and Rachel are running the show Matt. Many of you have made them Enemy #1 but can't seem to get rid of them no matter how hard you try. Concentrating on them so much has left a lot of people floating around just waiting.

So what do you think of Matt's HOH blog? Did he come across as pompous or just confident? Are you glad he at least knows how to write comprehensibly?

And because it's Thursday, who do you want to win the HOH tonight?

Waiting For Thursday - Alliances Firming Up.

Tuesday has arrived in the house and frankly we are all now just sitting around waiting for Thursday.  I don't see a major change coming so Monet should be out the door then and a lot of alliances will be broken or solidified based on who wins the next HoH.

Here is a quick run down of each HG and where they seem to be to be aligned:

Andrew: I'm not even sure.  Closest ally is probably Brendon. I think he thinks he is in tight with Brendon AND Rachel - not sure Rachel feels that way.

Brendon: Clearly in tight with Rachel.  Andrew might also be close.  Kathy via Rachel and Kristen via Rachel as well.

Britney: Doesn't really have anyone in the house - Monet wil be out on Thursday - Enzo and Lane have been the nicest to her the last couple days but they would vote her out tomorrow over most other HGs.

Enzo: The 'Brigade' seems to have lost some power this week - and he is considered a bit of a loose cannon - several times his co-Brigade members have talked about him needing to go out.  In good with Britney so if she gets HoH he will be safe for sure.

Hayden: I have to say at this point his closest ally is probably Kristen.  The Brigade might be #2 - but it looks to me like the two 'couples' might form an alliance depending on how the next HoH goes.

Kathy: Has gotten really tight with Rachel (and thus Brendon) the last few days - sleeping with her nightly in the HoH room.  Its been noticed by the other HGs and may hurt any other alliances she thought she had.

Kristen: Hayden and Rachel appear to be Kristen's two closest allies.  Last week Hayden had suggested bringing her in with the "Brigade"and that might still happen depending on the next HoH.

Lane: Besides the "Brigade" - Lane doesn't seem to have any strong alliance - although Hayden has implied to him that he thinks the two of them would be a strong alliance.  Like Enzo, Hayden has been nice to Money and Britney so if Britney gets HoH he would be safe - yet he also would most likely vote her out over a lot of other HGs.

Matt: Another "Brigade" member, he may consider this his strongest alliance, but he and Ragan have also been talking a lot and seem to be aligned pretty strongly.  Matt has said Andrew has it out for him, why I don't know.  Rachel is concerned he might be using his 'pawn' nomination for sympathy with the others.

Monet: Done.  Britney is her only ally.  If she doesn't leave Thursday I will be dumbfounded.

Rachel: Brendon is obviously her closest ally.  Then would have to be Kathy after the last few days.  She also considers Kathy (and maybe Hayden) an ally and Ragan she looks to for advice (but I don't think Ragan trusts her or wants to be aligned with her).  Her over confidence this week is getting to some but I think others consider Brendon more of a danger of the "Brenchel" couple.

Ragan: I think his only real close ally is Matt - he is friendly towards several HGs and I had seen him as more of a floater until he talked to Matt yesterday and talked about how the house alliances are still shifting.  He had seemed to be close to Rachel but after her actions the last 24 hours by proclaiming she had secured the votes to evict Monet during the POV ceremony, he thinks she is putting a huge target on herself and wants to keep his distance.

I am sure I missed a lot - feel free to comment - but that's kind of where things stand.  Again, a lot will come down to the next HoH.  If anyone but Britney wins HoH - and targets Britney - I think it will be a huge mistake.  A 'strong' player, or perhaps I should say someone who has strong alliances, would be the person I would go after if I were to win HoH.

Love Is In The Air

Things have become a little crazy in the Big Brother house haven't they? While Rachel isn't exactly the person I wanted to become the new HOH, it's great for drama. She went from being on the block and being a Have Not to the Head of Household and being able to eat. So for Rachel, she's going to be having the best week ever.

Part of the reason for that is she's going to be able to nominate the two women who she doesn't like. (I didn't say brains came with the HOH power.) Within an hour of the feeds coming back on after the show last night, she'd already told Brendon that she's going to be nominating Britney and Monet with Monet her primary target for eviction. Matt's going to be in trouble if either one of these are taken off the block as Rachel told Brendon that he's her replacement choice.

I'm still not exactly sure why she dislikes Monet so much but it stems from something that happened between the two of them before the live feeds began. We've heard Monet complain over and over again about how Rachel rolled her eyes when Rachel pulled Monet's name from the bag for the POV competition. (If you were watching closely on Wednesday's POV show, it was a huge eye roll.) Monet never talked about anything that she thought she might have done to Rachel to cause the dischord between them so perhaps Monet has no idea what she did either.

Heaven help you if you were watching Rachel last night on the feeds or on Big Brother After Dark! She received a bottle of Patron tequila in her HOH basket in addition to the other goodies. Rachel went on and on and on and on about how she can't believe Big Brother gave her tequila. Well duh Rachel! Big Brother wants you and Brendon to get hammered so y'all have good sloppy sex in the HOH room. They need footage for the showmance script er storyline. Fortunately for my eyes, there was no Brenchel sex last night. They just took shots and she got hammered is all.

Speaking of sex though, there's another couple in the house! No, I'm not talking about the fish. Late late last night, Kristen and Hayden spent hours awkwardly flirting and eventually spooning in bed. There was no kissy kissy going on but I see it heading that way eventually. They were situated in the double bed in the orange room (poor Andrew will never get any sleep) before she decided to get up and go to her own bed. It will be interesting to watch this romance blossom - unlike the icky partnering between Brendon and Rachel.

In some miscellaneous news, the sound makers were found in the house by Monet and others so they were able to sleep in peace last night. Britney got pissed at Andrew for being happy that Rachel won HOH. She expressed her displeasure at his happiness and Andrew basically told her to shut the fuck up. You go boy! Monet immediately told Andrew that she had nothing to do with Britney's little episode in hopes of getting on his good side. Monet and Britney are pretty sure they're in danger of being nominated so it won't be a surprise to them when it happens later today.

Well, the hamsters have been awakened from their slumber. The Have-Have Nots competition will be held today and then the nomination ceremony will be later. Also, at some point today, the hamsters will probably be told who the saboteur is/was for Sunday's show. While you're waiting for all of the events check out Julie's extended interview with Annie right here and Annie's Early Show interview here.

So what are your thoughts on all of the love in the house? Do you think Rachel would be making the right or wrong decision nominating Britney and Monet? Who would you nominate if you were Rachel? Spill it folks!

Let's Go!

There is finally going to be some action up in the Big Brother house today! We are definitely ready for it and I know the hamsters are as well. Now all we have to do is wait to see who becomes HOH tonight to find out exactly how much action there will be.

It's pretty much a given that Annie will be voted out tonight by an 11-0 vote. I suppose there's a chance of a hinky vote by the saboteur but still. Annie knows she's pretty much a goner but it hasn't stopped her from trying to swing some votes - constantly. I appreciate that she's not just laying down and dying but the other houseguests are really sick of it. They see her coming and want to run the other way.

Yesterday, Hayden wrote his HOH blog and received the Big Brother digital camera to take pictures with. He wrote that he believes Britney is the most dangerous person in the house and I tend to agree with him on that. Hayden is worried about Enzo too even though he's in an alliance with him. And it's interesting that Hayden also singled out Kristen in his blog. I do believe he has a little crush on her.

Big Brother 12 houseguests - Week 1Also yesterday, they received oversized golf clubs and balls to practice with in the backyard. That means tonight's HOH competition will involve them using something to hit something else and will be elimination-style. Big shocker right? Britney seems to have some golfing experience and was doing quite well in the practice. Matt, Lane, and Enzo? Not so good.

The saboteur will be revealed to us tonight during the live show. I'm not quite sure how I feel about that. At first, I was excited to be learning who the saboteur is but I think I'd really rather they keep it a secret to us so that we can try and figure it out on our own. Personally, I still have no idea who it is. There are a few people I have in mind (Matt, Britney, Kathy) and there are a few people I know it definitely isn't (Andrew, Lane, Hayden). But I guess I'm going to find out who it is tonight regardless of whether I want to or not.

Now I definitely can't wait to find out who wins HOH tonight and who they nominate tomorrow. If you have the live feeds, you'll want to make sure they're on at 9:00 PM ET to watch the aftermath of the HOH competition as well as all of the ego-stroking and drama the rest of the night.

Who do you want to win HOH tonight? Do you think the vote to evict Annie will be unanimous tonight? Do you think Annie will go quietly into Julie Chen's arms or do you think there will be some drama in her leaving? Who do you think the saboteur is and would you rather find out tonight from CBS or would you prefer figuring it for yourself? Let us know in the comments!
