Live Feed "Exclusive" Content now up. How to see it from Canada.

Hello Big Brother Fans.

The "Live Feed" page on CBS' site went "Live" today and with it some exclusive content including several interviews hosted by Jeff (BB11, BB13).  If you don't have the feeds yet - you should sign up before June 26th to get the cheapest price you will see all season ($23.99).  Sign up via the link below and then read on if you are outside the USA becuase at least for now the content is 'blocked' (something I am sure CBS will fix shortly as it wasn't an issue most of last season).

When I want to access content that isn't 'allowed' here in my particular location (lets say I want to watch BB16 from other countries like the UK, Austrailia or Canada), I use a site - plugin called Hola to enable my computer / browser (in my case I am using firefox but it works with Chrome and I believe IE as well) to move about the other countries web page to view the videos.
You can do the same to view the video's on the CBS site if you are outside of the USA - just read on.
My instructions are for someone using Windows 7 as well - your mileage may vary with other operating systems.  But Hola has options for MANY operating systems on their site.  Without Hola I get a message telling me the content is restricted when I try to view videos.

Here are the 'simple' steps.  I'm not offering tech support - just wanted to pass this on for those with the urge to see whats going on until CBS fixes things.

Note - this is all FREE - no cost to you to use Hola.

Step 1 - get Hola via this link Sign Up For Hola.

Step 2 - once you have signed up and installed the Hola plug in - you can then browse to CBS.com and use the Hola plug in to tell the browser to access the site from the United States.  That should be it!

Hola is a great little way to watch LOADS of content that is normally restricted by region.  I used it last year to watch Big Brother Austrailia as well.

Big Brother Gossip Show #314: Amanda Zuckerman Interview

We promised a very special post-season episode, and we really did deliver. For her first interview, Amanda Zuckerman appeared on our show and answered EVERYTHING! I mean everything, including answering the various rumors surrounding her in-house and out of house life.

You can grab this very special episode from the usual sources, including itunes and Stitcher.

I'd like to thank Amanda for her appearance, along with Mike and Colette for their interviewing skills! What fun this was!

Big Brother Gossip Show #312: Season Finale

There may be a few more days left in the season, but the material on the feeds has slowed to a crawl. With that in mind, we decided that tonight would be our season finale...or is it? There's a chance we'll have a special episode or two in the near future. So please keep checking in to see what we're up to.

Tonight's episode deals with Wednesday and Thursday's evictions, the jury house visit, and the first step of the final round of HOH contests. We also chat a bit about our predictions for the finale, and also comment on the rumors surrounding Allison Grodner.

You can grab this episode via the usual online spots, including iTunes and Stitcher, or...

Much thanks to Colette and Mike for their help this season, and to Ash for her tireless work looking for audio clips. It's been a great season, and we all can't wait for next year!

No More B.S.!

I've been thinking about writing this post for a few days now, but have not wanted to fan the flames.

I can't hold back any longer, though.

As I've stated many times on this blog and our podcast, I've enjoyed this season more than any of the last handful. This was mainly because there weren't any returning players to temper and handicap the play of the new contestants. With the exception of one stunt casting, and a twist designed to protect her, everybody started the season on an even keel.

Yes, there have been a ton of questionable comments and actions. Yes, some people have acted inappropriately. Yes, people have made disastrous moves. That's what happens when you have a cast of reality show virgins! You get drama! Isn't that what has been missing in previous years? People should be rejoicing!

They're not. In fact, I've never seen a season where the fanbase has taken the show so seriously. I'm not just talking about the cat ladies who want rules tweaked, bent and broken to ensure their favorite makes it untouched to the end. I'm not talking about the usual double standards for behavior, or the demand that the rest of the house do nothing but what furthers their hero.

It's getting much scarier than that, and it needs to stop.

There are sites out there created by people that clearly have too much time on their hands. These sites include private information of not only those in the house but their families and friends. When one brain surgeon tweeted a family phone number earlier this week, they were inundated with harrassing phone calls for the rest of the day.

Seriously, you cretins, get a fucking life.

You can love and hate anybody you want. You can think this person is trash, or that person is a beautiful angel. That's part of the fun of the show.

When they're out of the house, you can then throw whatever verbal jabs you want. I've admittedly had my fun with certain people over the years. No matter their sins, though, the families don't deserve this. Their parents shouldn't have to take down their business websites or disconnect their phones. You are NOT their judge and jury.

You, not those in the house, are ruining this season. If the show doesn't return next summer, I hope you all look at yourselves in the mirror. It won't be because of the ratings or the various live feed controversies. It will because you busy bodies are giving the producers and lawyers such a headache it won't be worth the risk of putting on the air. Will you be happy then? Either that or it will be a house full of Helen's organizing knitting parties. We definitely don't need that!
