The Night Owl - Monday Night

As expected today/tonight were not terribly eventful.  To my surprise, early in the day, Joey actually did try to campaign a little.  She told only Hayden about her Team America thing, and he later described that to Nicole as "an elaborate lie that he can't even tell because people might believe it."  Then after a few short talks that got her basically nowhere, Joey gave up again and contemplated eating hotdogs and just taking penalty votes since she knows she is going home anyway.  She didn't do it though.

Caleb spent most of his day (I'm sure this will shock you) talking about and thinking about Amber.  I heard very little game talk out of him outside of re-confirming with everyone he talked to that Joey was still going to be voted out.  Then in an act of what looks like rejection depression, he went to sleep before night time.

At some point in the early evening Amber and Christine, who are the two female members of The Bomb Squad, had a conversation on the hammock about how they need to be more proactive and about their true feelings about some of the boys they are in the alliance with.  They both agree they would like to go to final 3 with Frankie, but the other guys need to go.  I'm not sure it was said, but it was definitely implied they would need to go sooner than later.

I'm never quite sure what Nicole and Hayden are talking about when they talk.  I understand the words they are saying, but I just don't get it. They had a conversation for a short time in the hive room where they talked about how they need to spend less time together and Nicole said something about having Christine talk to Hayden for her so that they are not seen together as much.  Then it got all awkward and giggly as it tends to do any time those two start talking.

After leaving the Hive Room, I'm not sure what EXACTLY happened, but there was a lot of crying from various girls in the house.  First Nicole started crying.. Then Victoria.. Then Brittany and Joey started talking about how nice it is to cry and I think Joey might have shed a few tears.  Anyway, it was a big cry fest for a little while there.

Meanwhile in the other room, Zach, Frankie, and Christine talked about how silly it was that people were already crying after a week.  They talked about having a hard time sympathizing with the criers because they are so happy to be in the game, and made a couple good cracks about them.

Then, suddenly in the crying side of the house a prayer circle was held...

At some point during the night Frankie and Zach reconvened to talk once again about how everyone had to go starting with the girls and ending with the powerhouse guys etc..  They have a lot of plans, but the problem is they are getting really far ahead of themselves.  Frankie is playing so well socially that he will likely survive his current impulsiveness, but I'm not sure if Zach will survive. That makes me a little sad because as far as feed entertainment go, he has me sold.

Very late in the evening/early in the morning Caleb woke up and had a long hot tub convo with Devin.  I would call the conversation pure comedy.  Caleb was down about the Amber thing so Devin started giving him a pep talk, singing him songs, and professing his bro love for him.  I don't know why Caleb feels like he needs Amber when clearly Devin is in love with him.  The conversation is worth a flashback just for the humor if you can stand to listen to Devin.

Later on Frankie more clearly tried to explain to Caleb that Amber wasn't the one.  He also said he now considers her a liability in their alliance.  They spent a lot of time talking about whether they think Devin is shady or not and going over things like who else they want in their alliance (lol what?).  Caleb says he wants to take Hayden to the end now.  Both of them sound like they are going to move towards kind of shutting Amber out of the alliance.  The second week model curse may happen again this season after all.

As far as the rest of the night goes, everything was typical.  There was pool playing and cooking and eating and joking around.  Plans were made for a prom that is supposedly happening tomorrow night.  I'm still unclear on who is actually taking who to said prom or how it will work as they have no music etc.. Nothing really out of the ordinary happened. I'm still waiting for the first eviction when things should start to get more intense.  As of now, Joey, the first member of Team America, is still set to be the one going home on Thursday.  Barring some crazy production intervention I don't see that changing.  As always you guys can follow me @ashes2ashes13 on twitter for more overnight feed updates.  Until tomorrow night...

The Night Owl

Well, today/tonight unexpectedly got a little interesting...

For most of the afternoon there wasn't a lot going on.  Mostly just fun in the sun and kitchen counter talks, but later things started to get a little nuts.  Typically people wait until after they have been nominated to self destruct, but apparently that is just not Joey's way of doing things.  She decided first that it would be a good idea to confront the HGs about the whole "house vote" for a replacement nominee thing that Caleb has been supposedly doing. That put a lot of people on the spot.  Most of the  reactions were to be really uncomfortable and avoid the question.

After "calling people out" about the house vote, Joey then started talking to various people, starting with Zach, about how if she had to choose, she would put Devin up and out this week.  Zach played along with her and talked about the perks of Devin going instead of her (even though technically Devin is one of his secret alliance members) and they both made some good points.

But THEN... Joey decided it would be a good idea to go and actually tell Devin that he was her target and her vote was for him to leave this week. Devin immediately had to go and tell everyone what Joey told him.

And then the retells started...

And kept going...and going..and going...

The amusing thing is, while Joey's plan was VERY poorly executed, and Caleb will probably never nominate Devin because he needs him as a bigger target than himself next week, her terrible game play did get everyone talking about Devin.  Suddenly Zach, Derrick, Cody, and all of the girls minus Amber found themselves talking about how incredibly awful, creepy, and annoying Devin is. Personally all I see is Brendon when I look at/listen to him.  And that's not a good thing.

Then everyone went back to normal for just a little while.  Well.. as normal as things in this year's BB house get.

Then, as if Joey hadn't already done enough damage to Devin's BB reputation, he decided to make it that much worse.  Brittany apparently said something to Devin that he didn't like.  I'm not clear on the details since I missed this particular conversation, but the next thing you know, here come the Devin dramatics.

See, if anyone was unclear on this fact, Devin is a father.  He has a little girl and it was her birthday.  I only know this because he told each person in the house at least 10 million times today.  Ok that's a little bit of an exaggeration..but only a little one.  Anyway, apparently it wasn't that Brittany insulted him.  It was that she did it on his daughter's birthday. HOW! DARE! SHE!

Whatever it was Brittany said to Devin made her feel bad enough to want to try to apologize to him. So she headed for the HOH room where Devin was busy whining to Caleb about how he had been insulted on his daughter's birthday of all days. Brittany asked if she could talk to Devin and he told her "Well I don't have anything to say to you" but also grudgingly said he would listen to what she had to say.  He didn't listen though.  As soon as Brittany started trying to apologize, motor mouth Devin decided to take control of the conversation.  He kept going on and on about sheets and lotion and his daughters birthday and how he doesn't give a shit about the other HGs...he only cares about his little girl.  He kept telling Brittany he couldn't believe she could sit here and talk to him about sheets and lotion on his daughter's birthday. Eventually Brittany literally had to tell him: "you need to stop saying bed sheets and lotion".  It seriously got THAT ridiculous. The whole thing ended with Devin telling Brittany to do him a favor and not talk to him, and Brittany going down to the hammock to shed some tears to Paola about the situation.

Not much else of note really happened.  Caleb's obsession with Amber continues to grow to new creepy heights as he talks about "putting a ring on it" and moving there to be with her.  Meanwhile she doesn't really seem to notice his existence more than once a day.  Donny continues to make Donnyisms to my delight. The "Bomb Squad" alliance (I'm so ashamed of myself for even using that term) continues to make plans to evict people in the order they desire and to win HOH's etc..  The same way all large alliances in the beginning of the game do. Jocasta continues to change bow ties several times a day.  Nicole, Hayden, and Derrick continue to make minimal feed appearances, and Frankie and Zach continue to plot their final two deal details.

That's pretty much it.  Joey isn't even nominated yet, but I'm pretty sure I can predict that barring anything crazy happening she will be going home.  I guess she will be Annie (BB 12)  part two and the Team America party of three twist will have to be taken back to the drawing board.  Hopefully Devin and Joey continue to self destruct and hopefully there will be a booze delivery in the coming days so we can squeeze a few more dramatics out of week one.  As always, for more updates you can follow me on twitter @ashes2ashes13. Until tomorrow night..

The Night Owl

McCrae won the veto!  The HGs competed in some kind of BB Bowling veto that involved spinning around a lot and throwing bowling balls.  They also got beer.  And McCrae won.  My hope was that he would be super excited about winning and staying in the game and that he would start trying to fit back in with people and save himself, but so far that hasn't happened at all.  For the most part he has been campaigning for Amanda and trying to help her campaign for herself.

For a good while after the veto, McCrae and Amanda both went in between napping and campaigning, but their campaigning mostly consisted of the same old tired arguments "Judd is bad"  "Elissa is bad"  "Keep us and we will be loyal till the end" and a lot of other things that still don't change the fact that they are an overt couple working as a pair in the house.

When Amanda and  McCrae were not around, the Exterminators alliance decided it would probably be best to put Spencer up instead of Elissa so Elissa does not end up pissed off at them and they all know they will still vote out Amanda.  GinaMarie said that it wouldn't matter if Elissa convinced her that she had sex with Nick, she STILL wouldn't put her up against Amanda because they need Amanda to go.

Other than the campaigning, most of the afternoon was slow and most everyone was either tired out or drunk after the veto and many slept for quite a while.  When everyone started waking up again the house was on indoor lockdown because of a wedding playing loud music in the backyard.  They got  more alcohol and decided to play poker games.   Poker is always pretty dull for most of us watching, with the most interesting part of tonight's rounds being Andy losing and ending up in one of GinaMarie's outfits.

Andy and Judd had some short discussions here and there about how to proceed in the coming week if it's a double eviction (which it is).  They both feel it will be best if one of them wins to put up either McCrae against one of them and then if anyone wins veto put up Elissa, or put up Elissa against one of them and if someone comes off put up McCrae.  That way they only piss off both McCrae and Elissa if they have to, and one of them definitely goes home since their alliance will still control the votes.

Other than that it's been a super slow night and it's been FILLED with constant feed cuts every few seconds as Elissa and Amanda don't seem to be capable of going a full minute without singing or mentioning production once they have had a little alcohol.  So that's pretty much it. There is not much more to tell.

I'm happy with the veto results.  I'm excited to (hopefully) see Amanda walk out the door this week, and I would be even happier if Elissa followed right after her in the double eviction. Alternately, if McCrae doesn't actually start playing this week, I would be fine with him going too.  I'm sad that he made the choices he did in the game as I felt he had SO much potential to be a graet player when he came in. That's just my personal opinions/desires.  I expect to see Spencer or possibly Andy or Judd on the block next to Amanda on Monday, but none of them will be in danger of going home or getting voted out.   In between now and Thursday we should see a lot of ups and downs from Amanda as she swings between acceptance and campaigning.  Maybe she will make one last loud bang, or maybe she will just stay in bed all day, I don't really care either way.  As always, you guys can follow me @ashes2ashes13 for more overnight feed updates.  Until tomorrow night...

The Night Owl

Well, GinaMarie did it.  Amanda and McCrae were put up on the block together today and the aftermath went just about the way most of us expected it to go.  First Amanda and McCrae ran to their bed to go talk about whose fault it was (Judd and Elissa of course) then Amanda marched to the HOH room.  Upon arriving in the HOH room, Amanda yelled at GinaMarie and told her that they were never coming after her and genuinely wanted to take her to the final four.  Amanda told her over and over and over and over that it didn't make sense to put the two of them up together.  GinaMarie kept her cool and told Amanda that it DID in fact make sense.  She told her they were a power duo and a couple. Two people playing the game together.  She told her she felt that this would make it a more even playing field to separate the two of them so they are not playing for each other. Amanda then told GinaMarie "You just fucked your own game.  You just fucked up! if Spencer or Andy win veto they will take one of us off the block and then whoever the replacement nominee is will go home!"  That sparked a fire in Judd who spoke up and said "So I guess we should all just pack our bags then and push you both to the end?"  Amanda hurled a few more insults and then ran downstairs to the have not room to cry and tell McCrae how she doesn't even want to be there anymore and how she can't live with these people.  She just wants to leave now!  She can't stand the idea of being apart from him (for two weeks).  etc.. etc... etc..

There was some more time spent in bed and then Amanda went off to find Andy in the storage room who she still believes is on her side and will take her off the block if he winse veto.  She started crying and talking about Elissa saying she couldn't stand to spend another week in the house with her "joker face" etc..  and Andy mosty just said "yeah, but don't give her what she wants.  Just try to squash it."  While they were talking, Elissa listened outside the door until Amanda got wise to her listening and tried to bust the door open on her.

Most of the rest of Amanda and McCrae's night was spent not saying anything other than comforting words to each other in their bed.  There was also a lot of laying in silence.  The only thing they did outside of that was go to the bathroom once, eat once, and Amanda went up to the HOH room crying and apologized to Judd, Elissa, Spencer, and GinaMarie saying she knows she is leaving and she loves all of them.  She asked them not to blame her actions on McCrae who so wants to be there.  The two of them still have no idea that McCrae is the target. They just assume that Amanda is the one going home...but really, they just laid in bed all night for the most part.  I was starting to think mirrors  might be needed to check for breath, but in the wee hours of the morning they popped up for a short but relatively normal chat/joke talk with Spencer, Andy, and Judd.

After the storage room event, Andy started to get really spooked about the idea of Elissa sending him out of the house after she started needling him about what he said to Amanda and why.  She acted suspicious and Andy talked to Spencer about it a while later.  He and Spencer agreed that if one of them got HOH they might need to put Elissa up next to one of their own alliance so they could get rid of her first and then just deal with Amanda next.  I'm not sure if Andy is still on that same page though as after some booze later on in the night, he and Elissa had a really long heart to heart and agreed that they totally trust each other.  I am sure he still wants her out, but I'm not sure if he wants her gone next or if his fears were eased.

While McCrae and Amanda laid in bed together, the other HGs drank, played Jenga, ate dinner, and cut up with each other.  They started calling Judd the "Slutty Chicken" because his chicken costume is now so ripped it won't stay on.  They teased GinaMarie about how broken she is now that her toe is broken along with her hurt back and finger.  And the night for the most part was relatively strategy talk free.

There WAS a little bit of gaming for a while between Spencer, Judd, and Andy in the cockpit.  Most of it was just going over what they already have about doing what they need to do in order to win veto and send McCrae  home, but a few new things popped up here and there. They decided that if McCrae or Amanda does win veto and come off the block, it would be a good idea for Spencer to be the replacement nominee so they can just vote out whichever of the two is left up and not piss Elissa off yet.  That way Elissa stays focused on getting out the other member of McCranda instead of getting mad at all of them for putting her up and coming after two members of The Exterminators.

That's pretty much it as far as the game talk went.  Now it's all up to vet and what happens after that.  Part of me kind of hopes that McCrae wins veto so that Amanda goes home instead, but that is from a personal standpoint as I do like McCrae more than her.  From a strategy point of view, it is better for Judd, GinaMarie, Spencer, and Andy to get rid of McCrae and leave Amanda begging to go to jury right after him.  After seeing the way Amanda acted today about the game and her worries about being on the block, I honestly think she may use the veto on McCrae if she wins it.  She is extremely worried about him going to jury first and being there with Jessie and Aaryn.

Either way, even if neither of them wins it, it should be an interesting day.  If Andy somehow accidentally wins it, he knows he is screwed.  He won't be able to use it because of the current alliance he is loyal to, but that could potentially turn Amanda on him and keep her from going after Elissa.  Anyone else who won will likely just be subjected to bartering by Amanda and McCrae to use it, but likely won't.  We shall just have to see how it plays out.  As always, you guys can follow me on twitter @ashes2ashes13 for more overnight feed updates.  Until tomorrow night...
