This afternoon the first power of veto ceremony was held and shocker - it wasn't used. It was pretty obvious that Brendon and Rachel weren't going to use it - if for no other reason than they don't want to make any more enemies and they have pretty much asked for loyalty from everyone in the house.
I would have said its almost a lock that Keith was going home however after listening to Cassie, Lawon and Dominic chat in the Padded Have Not room this afternoon I think there is a chance he may stay. They feel that if they keep him in the house he will be the first target once the golden keys are gone. It will be an up and down week with the HGs not being forced to 'lock in' their votes until Thursday (thats right, the feeling among most of us is that it isn't really a live vote - the HGs have to TELL production how they are going to vote the day before).
The other item of note today was that Danielle suddenly realized that all the golden key holders were guarenteed to make it to the Jury House. There has been some question as to how that will work. People are doing the math as so... 14 people-4 key holders leaves 10 people - 2 finalists = 8 people but there are only 7 in the Jury - so how can everyone that gets a key make the jury? The answer is in the last week before Jury - that person needs no key because they are in. Here is the way it works.
Week 1 - Danielle - 1st Key - 13 HGs left
Week 1 - Keith/Porsche - 2nd Key - 12 HGs left
Week 2 - ?? - 3rd Key - 11 HGs left
Week 3 - ?? - 4th Key - 10 HGs left
Week 4 - ?? Evicted - the person left gets no key but thats ok - every week after the evictee is in the jury. 9 HGs left - 2 finalists and 7 Jury.
Make sense? If you already figured it out - sorry!
The TV show is on tonight in about 40 minutes for me. We'll see the Have Not competition that involves something with Milking Cows on the Moon - or at least cows and the moon are involved.
There will also be the first nomination ceremony shown. And maybe there will be hints to Dicks impending departure. Speaking of Dick he should be releasing a video statement sometime today, we'll let you know when its up.
After watching tonight's show, I am not sure the golden key winner is guaranteed the Jury. Julie said they were safe for the first four evictions. That may mean that the last eviction before the Jury forms will be a free-for-all where everyone is on their own and golden key winners are vulnerable. That almost makes more sense.
Brendon and Rachel won - it appears it had something to do with letters and/or symbols. They're wearing unitards, but it appears as that was the costume for the event. They're now paranoid that by winning the first two comps they now have big targets. Meh, probably not with this crowd.
I guess things really have not changed. Brendon is currently chastizing Rachel for celebrating after her victory. It's the same circular-yet-going-nowhere conversation they had all last season. Rachel wants to get people on their side, but Brendon says it will happen because everybody wants to hang with people who dominate just like them.
Let's be real about the "domination" thing. This was a spelling competition. We all have seen Jeff attempt to spell, and I doubt if Jordan can spell her own name. The third duo, Keith and Porsche, have talked all day about throwing the POV (why, I don't know). This wasn't exactly like winning the decathlon in the Olympics.
There's also talk of a house meeting. It's the only reason I'm still up. Where's Matt? He should be in the house for this exercise in futility.
There has been tons of speculation on which "Dynamic Duo's" will be going back into the Big Brother house for season 13. CBS listed Six 'couples' but then yesterday Allison Grodner claims that was CBS's selection, implying there might be other couples that could be going in, even going as far to say all they could fit on the web page was six couples. So is there any way to figure out who ISN'T going back in?
Here are a few things to consider and my own thoughts. In the end I really have no clue for sure who is going back but there are a few I can say aren't.
First lets take a look at the list CBS provided and talk about each.
Will/Boogie: This one is easy because yesterday Will posted on his own fansite that he isn't going back in the house and that his days on competition reality shows is over.
Jessie/Natalie: Much tougher and not a very 'popular' couple. They were seen by most as Jessie the BB10 guy worshipped by the season 11 HGs and Natalie the coatail rider who brought nothing to the game once Jessie was gone. I follow both on Twitter and Natalie hasn't put anything up since October so thats no help. Jessie hasn't tweeted since June 17th so again not a lot of help. We know Jessie would probably love to go back in the house but we also know there are a ton of Big Brother fans that would revolt if he did. I'm not so sure about Natalie as she got married after leaving the house and has never seen to be one to love the spotlight.
Enzo/Hayden: These two are tweeting like crazy - if they are sequestered and entering the house today or tomorrow then they are either being allowed to use twitter - or they have someone doing it for them (a possibility). I imagine they both might be willing to go back in the house - but Enzo does have a child so that might make his decision a bit tougher.
Brendon/Rachel: I almost assume these two will be back. Rachel is ALL about the entertainment industry (although I have yet to see her in a Vegas Ad) and Brendon doesn't really have a job. The only thing about them is if Brendon is to be believed, they just moved to North Carolina where Brendon claims he will be doing research. Brendon's last tweet was June 30th and Rachel's June 29th so that keeps them as strong possibilities. I would put them down as in the house.
Dick/Danielle: This is the one I would guess will be in if it weren't for the fact that Danielle is still tweeting as of today. The most recent tweet said, "Just got done tickle fighting w Allison Grodner. I'm getting in one way or another!" So it could be her or someone tweeting for her. She did 3 shows on Real with Ragan but wasn't scheduled to do any once the season began which is a BIG indicator to me (Ragan continues on solo for the season). Dick's last comments were on June 30th asking what people thought of the cast and the last one being, "Let the shit talking begin..." (dot dot dot implies a LOT to me). If I had to bet I would say they are in.
Jeff/Jordan: America would LOVE to see this 'couple' back in the house. And if Brendon/Rachel and Dick/Danielle get in you need a little sappyness to offset the anger and meaness the other two couples bring. Jeff hasn't had a 'real' job since BB and has done two stints of an online around the world show for CBS - they both visited the show last season - so why wouldn't they come back? Jeff's last 'tweet' was June 29th and Jordan's was back in April so no online activity from either to indicate they are out and about. Thats my 3rd couple in the house if I had to bet.
So you think Allison was honest when she said CBS could only fit six couples? Maybe - but the three that I think are going in are on that page. Allison tossed out a few other names but many, Marcelleas and Amy for example, are still active online today (even joking about it). I think maybe Allison would have preferrd if they listed 10 couples but CBS said only room for six.
I think we'll see the three couples I mentioned and that works out to a total of 14 houseguests (8 + 6) and thats how many spaces are on this season's memory wall. My guess is they eight new ones will enter the house first (Saturday or Sunday), possibly even spend the first night alone, and then be joined by the others the next day in a 'shocking twist.'
If you want to 'follow' any of the former HGs (and even a couple of the new ones) I have a list I maintain on my twitter account. Just go to http://twitter.com/#!/BBGossip/big-brother-hgs/members and you can add any you like. Some of them have to approve you to follow them. I don't actually follow them all myself but I can check their tweets by going to that page to get to them.
Comment away and PLEASE tell me if you think I am wrong and why!!

The plan of the house all week has been to make Brendon think he's being evicted tonight instead of Rachel. However, the person they'll be evicting is Rachel. They want to blindside Brendon so that he's out of sorts for the HOH competition.
At the beginning of the week, I doubted that they would keep the plan alive and it would be tossed aside along with every other idea that seems to pop up so early. The plan is still full steam ahead though. Rachel will probably have a nervous breakdown tonight - either when Julie announces her eviction or during her interview with Julie. There's no telling what Brendon might do.
I get that the other hamsters don't like Brenchel. Hell, I don't like Brenchel. I can't help but wonder why none of these ding dongs in the house aren't more interested in their two jury votes though. You stick it out in the house with Brendon and Rachel all that time and then, when it's the first week of jury, you decide to just lose it with them and send them out of the house in such a dramatic fashion?
There's no doubt that Brendon and Rachel have had a bad week. Some of it they definitely brought on themselves. But some of it was also brought on by the others in the house. I'm just thankful they didn't hear all of the vile and nasty things that were said about them behind their backs.
Do you think this surprise switch eviction is a good idea? If so, why? Is it because it just makes good TV? Do you think that this helps anybody's game or vote in the jury house? What do you think Brendon's and Rachel's reaction will be on the show tonight?
