Still Clueless

No, this isn't another post about Danielle...but I guess I should include her in this post. I must admit that the silly twit covers her tracks pretty well. Joe attempted to interrogate her today, and she said just enough to sort of please him but really didn't acknowledge anything. Of course, the minute he left her story of the conversation was embellished to her fan club.

She also had a pretty silly conversation with Britney that basically promised her a trip to the finals. After all, Dan may be her father figure, and Shane her soulmate, but Brit is her BFF! Girl power to the end! (Ugh, let me go throw up a bit.)

So let's talk about Janelle a bit. She still has no clue why she's been nominated, and has pretty much questioned everybody. She has attracted an unsanitary chef as a fan, though, and he gossips just enough to keep the paranoia flowing.

Part of Joe's master plan is to continually badmouth Wil, so Janelle just had a little meeting with him. "So I heard you're mad at me", was the opening salvo that had Wil just agreeing with everything she said. It's her belief that they all want her to survive the week, but by dividing her group the various other mini-alliances have some big plans for next week. "I seriously don't know what's going on. I'm so in the dark."

The meeting ended with a promise for a vote, but the eyerolls he later made to Frank and Ashley indicate that he was just blowing smoke up her ass. He admitted to the vote promise, but explained that he had his fingers crossed behind his back.

Is Janelle a goner? How many votes do you think she has? I believe she's gone, but I'm pretty confused as to who exactly will be voting against her.

Shocker! (Not Really)

As Ash stated in her overnight report, the tide turned against Janelle late last night and an agreement was made to put her up. Yet plenty of feed watchers still had their doubts. Would Danielle actually make such a move, or would she chicken out?

Well, she did, putting Janelle up in place of Wil, and in her nominating speech apparently made a comment about how she's so "not a pawn". Janelle was completely obliviouis. Her day had started like most days - she slept in and never really had a chance to be clued in by others...or production.

Like one would expect, Janelle attempted to confront Danielle immediately after the ceremony, denying that she had ever said anything about her and that she believed they were working together. She then confronted Britney and Dan, and both of them denied knowing anything about this plan. She's now attempting to gather votes, and it seems to me that many are just blowing smoke up her ass. Wil has told her she has his vote, which is a complete lie, but now Joe is telling her that Wil is lying.

So what do y'all think of this big move? Are you shocked that a person that in some of our eyes is pretty useless has actually made a truly controversial move? Give us your thoughts!

No Recap Tonight

Sorry, folks, but I'm not going to do a recap tonight. This will be pretty straightforward episode, and everything that happened has already been covered her (plus on last night's BBGossip show).

If you still want to know what happened, here's my prediction on tonight's show structure:

8:00 - 8:03 pm EST. Announcer tells the entire story of the season, just in case you forgot.

8:03 - 8:10 pm EST. We see everybody on the endurance contraption, but it quickly shifts to the moment Julie announced that "America" (cough cough) had voted to allow them to enter the game. There will be flashbacks of them hitting (or not, in Boogie's case) the red button, accompanied by diary room cheers and jeers.

8:10 - 8:30 pm EST. The actual endurance comp. Again, pretty straightforward, with the exception of typical diary room comments (Joe and Dan screaming, Frank and Shane angry at themselves for dropping). Boogie discovering the plot to evict Frank will also be included, using footage involving conversations with Dan, Joe, and finally Boogie spilling it all to Frank. The culmination will be the negoitations between Ian, Britney, and Danielle, and finally, the "From Here To Eternity" kiss between Danielle and Shane (with Dan's suggestion that Shane do this edited out).

8:30 - 8:50 pm EST. Danielle's HOH room reveal (gag me) and her desire to nominate Janelle start the segment, before moving on to show the coaches working on Danielle. Interspersed in this footage will also be Boogie's growing anger over the Frank situation. The final commercial break will occur after we see Dan "coaching" Danielle on who should be nominated.

8:50 - 9:00 pm EST. Danielle reads the HOH nom script (not very well), with the proper dialogue from anybody who the editors have deemed the viewers may believe will be nominated. The show will then end with the nominations of Wil and Frank, with proper angry reactions from the nominees and Boogie, along with smug smiles from Danielle.

While tonight's episode is destined to be a snoozer, the real actions could be on Wednesday's show. As stated by Ash's report last night, there really is a movement to put up Janelle. Danielle is seemingly working with Shane AND Frank right now. Obviously, this plot is one conversation away from not happening, but it could enliven Wednesdya's episode! Turn those feeds on and view for yourself!

An Alternative View to the Coach/Player Situation

We all know what happened last night. Thanks to Willie's ouster and producer Allison Grodner's silly love for former players, the supposed results of the America's Choice poll brought the coaches officially into the game. We knew this was going to happen anyway, but that doesn't halt our frustration that CBS will not allow a pure game.

Despite the exploding heads of most of my Big Brother friends, I'm not convinced that this will result in a replay of last year. Let's go back to the season thirteen cast. The "noobs" were primarily cast becuase they were fans of the six returning players. They loved and adored them, and spent the majority of the season kissing up to them. Add in a mysterious couple of twists to ensure Rachel stuck around, and it was clear that it would be next to impossible for a noob to win.

That's not the case this year. There's no hero worshipping...or little of it. Janelle may be respected for her hard gameplay in her two seasons, and Dan is loved by the catlady crowd, but it's tepid compared to Jejo or Brenchel, and there aren't exaclty fan clubs out there for Britney or Boogie.

Almost a month into this season, there are few seriously deep ties to any of the vets, and the couple that exist have sort of developed in a natural fashion. Dan has done a fabulous job building up a smidget of confidence in Danielle, and Frank and Boogie are truly friends. Well, the opportunistic Boogie sees a way to further himself through Frank.

Otherwise, I don't believe the majority of these people will have any problem nominating or voting against the former coaches. Again, ignore what Danielle is doing this week. There are exceptions to every rule, and the move to eliminate them can be pushed back a week. If Wil survives the week, he'll go after them, as will Frank (if he survives), Shane, Jenn, Joe, and even possibly Ian and Ashley.

Of course, it doesn't matter if they would nominated the coaches if they don't win HOH, and that's the other major difference from last year. Brendon, Rachel, Jeff, and Danielle (the real one; not this year's mess) were competition whores who believed they needed to win every week. That's not the case this year. Britney is no competitor, Boogie's heart isn't even in the game, and Dan will continue to throw competitions unless he makes it to the last couple of weeks.

Sure, Janelle is primarily known for winning multiple competitions in her seasons. That time has come and gone, though. She's overly-confident, and is not in the same shape that she was back during her seasons. Like her buddy Boogie, her best days are past her, and that's not a slam on the woman. It's a fact of life all of us have to go through.

I could be completely off on this assessment, but let's not jump on the sad wagon just yet. Let's see how this plays out over the next two weeks. Even with Danielle's horrific nominations (if they go as planned), the veto competition could completely change the game. Maybe a coach will indeed head out the door next week. I sure hope so!
