Big Brother Gossip #604: Grrl Power

Did Frank cross the line in his interaction with Day? We debate that issue on tonight's Big Brother Gossip Show, along with our derision of the spy girls and other topics from the past week of live feeds.

Scott's Sneak Preview of Tomorrow's Big Brother Gossip Show!!!

One of the perks that we use to reward our Patreon contributors is the ability to submit questions that we read and answer on the Big Brother Gossip Show. It’s a fun way to have a bit of interaction with our lovely listeners.

Tomorrow we’ll be reading one that should be of particular interest to almost all Big Brother fans. The question is what exactly each of us would do if we were given the keys to run Big Brother. Would we fire Grodner? Get rid of Julie Chen? Would we have returnees? Anything and everything is fair game for us to “fix” in this scenario.

You can probably figure out much of what I’m going to say, and I’m not letting out the secret tonight. I am going to talk about one aspect that I believe has been a major flaw of the past few seasons.

Before I make this big reveal, I want it to be known that I’m not a complete purist. I don’t mind changes from season to season. In fact I highly recommend that producers always attempt to improve their product.

The only real change in recent years, however, has been the main catalyst in creating mediocre, predictable feeds. The problem is that more than two nominees just doesn’t work, nor does multiple HOH’s.

The last four seasons have featured extra nominees for at least the first half of the season. This hampers a necessary element of any watchable season - the power shift. In a regular season, any alliance is just an eviction or two away from catching up or surpassing their competition. This happens by somebody from the minority winning HOH, putting up two from the majority team, and forcing them to cut one of their own. Even if POV is used, they just replace that person with somebody else from that group.

Having three nominations great favors the first team in power, especially if it’s a large alliance. (Yes, Devin was on to something with his ridiculously all-inclusive alliance.) It’s still possible to truly control the week, but to do that they almost have to have a clean sweep of victories. Roadkill is an especially crucial element. If the majority team takes that comp, then they’ll have the numerical power to widen the gap.

Obviously, this doesn’t HAVE to kill a season. Season 15 still managed to sway back and forth throughout the season, which is why it’s one of my favorites. And given the right people, the predictable outcome (made worse by Battle of the Block) can still be enjoyable (like last season).

This season is clearly not working. The returnees aren’t coaches this time, but they may as well be. The teams are a disaster, and allowing a winning team to have complete immunity from nomination is ridiculous. Outside of Frank’s continued effort to screw up his game, the vets and their pals are going to remain in power for quite a few weeks. Who wants that???

Now make sure you're at our Mixlr site tomorrow night at 10 pm ET for the latest edition of the Big Brother Gossip Show!!!

Big Brother Season 18, Episode 8 Recap

Another week, another anticlimactic eviction. Despite all the efforts by the fine editing crew in the Big Brother production studio, every live feed viewer knows who is going home tonight. In fact, if the vote isn’t unanimous I will be surprised.

That doesn’t mean there’s no hope for this season. While every day it was looking and looking more like a repeat of the godawful coaches season (Big Brother 14) there have been some cracks in the armor the last couple of days. People are beginning to compare stories. The vets are no longer united, and a few noobs are finding themselves with new allies.

Unfortunately, you won’t see any of that tonight. Nope. It’s going to be the usual house footage to make one believe it could be anybody going home tonight, followed by the predicted eviction and insipid interview with Julie Chen. Then the show will culminate with a HOH competition that will hopefully not be won by a certain smelly asshole.

(Look, I know I’m being really negative about this season. I’m trying to get into it. I really am. But mixing vets and new contestants never works. It fails in every aspect. There’s no ratings jump. There’s no additional media attention. Most importantly, returnees are always allowed to run everything, and they inevitably hamper the live feed drama we so desire. I’d even would rather have a house of recruited bartenders and wannabe actors than a single returning house guest.)

With that off my chest, it is time to get going with tonight’s show. But first...another extraordinarily long “previously on Big Brother” segment, with the most important items immediately restated by Julie.

Once we’re finally through this lengthy intro (over five minutes), we move to the house footage. The POV meeting has just concluded, and Victor is now on the block. That idiot still thinks he has a chance to survive, though. Paul feels bad for his pal, but he has to survive for another week.

Victor heads outside and says he’s going to “make an effort to stay. I don’t miss my family that much yet.” James and Natalie join him, and James thanks him for not nominating him as the Roadkill nominee. He says he didn’t because he didn’t want to “lose a strong teammate”. He says in the diary room that he needs to sway people to vote out Tiffany. James and Natalie aren’t real receptive to this plan, although Natalie claims to not be clear on her plans. Yeah right.

Tiffany, Bridgette, and Bronte are now talking girl power. Tiffany wants to put together a “girl thing”. Bronte agrees that the boy are too powerful, especially Frank. Tiffany’s goal is to “plant some seeds” against him. “Please don’t take that to Frank.” Bridgette promises not to do that.

Paul now heads upstairs to chat with Frank and Bridgette, but then immediately heads out. Frank thinks the two of them are “solid”, but Frank wants to strengthen their relationship. Bridgette does this the best way possible by completely kissing his ass. When Frank talks a bit of shit about Tiffany, Bridgette automatically replies about how much she hates him. Ugh, you dummy. She gives it all up, and Frank then says he “looks at you like a little sister”.

Back downstairs, Tiffany is now preaching girl power to Natalie (and Bronte and Bridgette). Oh, that’s the perfect person to chat with, as Natalie has been saying all season she’d never nominate a girl. James walks in, but is kicked out. He runs upstairs and narcs the girls to Frank and Paulie. It’s amazing how badly so many people are playing. James says they all need to look at Tiffany as if she’s her sister with side alliances and other silliness. Ooooh, maybe Victor is staying this week. (He’s not.)

After some adverts, we get footage of some of the vet infighting I mentioned earlier. Nicole, Cory, and Frank are talking about Tiffany. “The only person I’m worried about that with is Paulie.” He wants to tell Paulie about their stupid eight-pack alliance, and Nicole whines in the diary room that “yeah, that’s fine”.

Paulie then comes into the HOH, and Frank does inform him of that meeting that led to that super-big alliance. He pretends that it’s no big deal, and says the only reason he’s not in it but just wasn’t in the room. Paulie says he’s “not too worried about it”, but will use that info if needed.

Frank then runs to Day to inform him that he spilled the beans to Paulie. She’s not happy about this, especially since this was “to cover his own ass...selfish ass”. While she claimed to have been talking about evicting Tiffany, she now thinks that Tiffany must remain so she has the votes.

Stupid Frank then moves to Zakiyah, who is also pissed since she’s joined at the hip to Paulie. Back upstairs, she’s laying around in bed with Paulie, who wants to “solidify some ride or dies”. Zakiyah says she trust him, Day, and Nicole. Paulie adds Corey’s name to that list.

Zakiyah then runs to Nicole to bitch about Frank, and Day joins them. She tells them about her conversation with Paulie, which pisses Day off even more. This new five-person alliance consists of her and two “couples”. “Where does this leave me”, she says in the diary room. “The fifth wheel.”

More telephone is then played as Day chats with James about her chat with Zakiyah. “It’s everybody for themselves”, says James after hearing about these new plans. Day starts crying, babbling “it’s not fair”. Well, it is fair. It just doesn’t help you.

That’s it for the new house footage. Julie cues them for the final pleas, starting with Bronte. She thanks her parents and those in the house. She just wants to stay and play. Victor suddenly has a high-pitched voice for some reason, and plugs his Instagram. What a moron. Tiffany is last up, and she wants the ladies to vote for her because she owns the “hair straightener”. What?

Voting now begins with Natalie, who votes to evict Victor. Paul, however, votes to get rid of Bronte. Bridgette goes against Victor, and Julie tries to say the problems in the eight-pack may save Victor. TV-only viewers go to these commercials somewhat thinking that’s true. (It’s not.)

When the commercials conclude, Zakiyah goes against Victor, as does James, Day, Frank, Michelle, Nicole, and Corey. Victor is gone by a vote of 9-1. Julie relays the news, and he hugs everybody before departing.

Look, Victor is a dummy and not interesting at all. He claims that he knew he was going shortly after his nomination, but he really has nothing else to say. The goodbye messages come from Natalie (who hopes he learned how to deal with women), Bronte (who bitches about his social game), Paulie (“nothing personal”), and Paul (“we blew it”). He’s then told about the “Battle Back” twist, and he couldn’t be happier.

The show now heads towards the conclusion with this week’s HOH competition. It’s the sort of comp that we call a “crapshoot”, as it’s more of a game of luck than any real skill. Unfortunately, it’s still a “team” competition. The backyard has a tennis theme (“Kiss My Ace”), and they have to “serve” their tennis ball. The lowest score in each round is out, and the last team standing wins.

Bronte is out in the first round (we really don’t get to see the scores), followed by Michelle. Nicole completely screws up so she’s the next to be eliminated, along with Day. James is the next to go, followed by Frank, Corey, and Zakiyah. There’s now only one player left on each team, and Tiffany causes her team to be out of the running. Natalie is now out, so it’s between Bridgette and Paul. Paul gets a 1, but Bridgette scores 17 to win. She’s the new HOH, and her entire team is safe this week!

That was kind of an awkward competition, but hopefully this will breath a little bit of new life into this season. Probably not, however, as not only is Bridgette buddies with Frank, she’s also completely spineless. Sigh.

There’s one more little segment as Julie congratulates Bridgette for her win. She says she’s “so shocked” and excited. Paulie’s advice is only to “enjoy that room, baby girl”. Ugh.

So that’s it. What did you think tonight? Do you share my disappointment? Are you pleased that Bridgette won this HOH? What can be done to improve the season??? Tell me. Please tell me!!!

Big Brother Season 18, Episode 7 Recap

Now that we’ve almost completed the second week of network broadcasts, the predictable outlines are returning. Tonight honestly won’t be real exciting. There will be reactions to Tiffany being the Roadkill nominee, a POV competition, and a POV meeting. I’m sure there will also be a couple of boring segments featuring James’ pranks, and another segment or two trying to make us believe there are some showmances in the house.

As you can tell, I’m “excited” by this prognosis, but I’m a devoted recapper. Let’s start by bringing on the famous Rousso tears! First, though, Paulie reminds us that Victor is actually the real target this week. “We all want him out.” Tiffany says she’s “super-confused” and “doesn’t know who to trust right now”.

Victor is seen chatting with Natalie, and he admits that he was the Roadkill winner. He says he nominated her because she’s smart. Step two is that he’ll win the POV, making step three Tiffany’s eviction. He ends the segment by asking Natalie to not tell anybody.

Oh cue the sappy music as Tiffany is now acting like her sister. She’s in tears begging Michelle to tell her if she’s the planned target for the week. “I promise I won’t blow up your game.” Michelle promises her that Victor is still the target, and Day enters the room to offer more consoling. Day reminds her that she has the numbers.

Up in the HOH, Tiffany visits Paulie and Zakiyah. “Dude, I’m getting paranoid right now.” Yep, she’s a Rousso. Paulie tells her not to freak out. Zakiyah then leaves, and Paulie informs her that he has no idea why Victor put her up. She’s still paranoid that she’s being backdoored. (Technically, she wouldn’t be in this situation, but everybody gets that wrong these days.) Paulie tells her to relax. “This isn’t an elaborate thing? It’s going to be hard to get her out, so get her out now?” The tears return as Nicole and others join the dialogue. Day also notices that she’s just like her sister. “That worries me.”

Natalie and Bronte are now talking about Tiffany. Bronte is worried that Paul or her are the real target. Her plan is to lay low and “play nice”. She hopes that others “get dramatic” and forget about them.

Frank and Paulie are now talking, and Frank says he’s worried about Tiffany. Of course, Tiffany then joins the conversation. Frank asks her if she’s ok, and she says she is but is worried about Victor. Frank says in the diary room that the only thing that can go wrong this week is for Tiffany to win the POV and take herself down. Victor would then replace the Roadkill nominee. Again, Tiffany is “frustrated”. Of course she is.

Day and Frank are now in the storage room talking about this upcoming POV. Day now wonders if it is smarter to get rid of Tiffany now. We get some replays of Tiffany and Frank arguing to show that he wouldn’t mind that happening. “Do we use this as an opportunity to vote her out?” Frank answers with a “yeahhhh”.

After the first set of adverts, Paulie says he wants to talk to Paul due to some information Victor gave him. It’s nothing really special. It’s just that Paul is very paranoid and “unsure” about Frank and Paulie. Duh. He gets a hold of Paul and asks if he did indeed say he didn’t trust them? Paul is not happy because “I’ve got to dig myself out of this situation fast.” He claims to trust them because they have a “more stable, less hostile environment”. Oh lord. Paul is now pissed at Victor, but stupid Paulie believes Paul.

It’s time to pick POV players. Besides Paulie, Paul, Bronte, and Tiffany, there will be two “random” players picked. Obviously, nobody wants Victor to play as that could ruin the eviction plan. Luckily for him, it all works out as he first picks Da’Vonne. The second chip is Paul, so he gets a houseguest choice. He’s in a bad spot here, thanks to Victor’s big mouth. He believes he’s going to be picked by Paul since it’s a “no brainer”, but instead Paul chooses Zakiyah. Victor’s giant grin immediately disappears.

Victor follows Paul to the kitchen, and he claims that he did this because he could beat all of those girls. Victor explains that if he had picked him, they could make both of them safe. Paul plays dumb...or dumber, I guess, and has Victor explain this to him. “We would have had two chances instead of one”. For some reason, Victor then jumps on Frank’s back, which means in Paul’s mind that Victor bought his reasoning.

In the bathroom, Frank tells Paul that he’s “playing great”. Paul believes that he’s earning some of his trust, and they blow smoke up each other’s ass. Day brings up Tiffany’s name because they don’t want her to win POV. “I don’t want her to have that power”, says Frank. “She can’t win”, answers Day.

Once a few more commercials air, Corey comes out of the diary room in a country hick outfit. The backyard is designed to look like the “Toe-zarks”, and supposedly smells like “Nicole’s feet”, according to Frank. They have to dig through the “toe jam” to grab letters that have point values. They then have to spell words with those letters. The person to spell the word with the highest point value wins.

You know the drill. Everybody states what they want to see happen, and then the rules are restated once it begins. Oh yeah, and lots of really horrible puns read in the diary room. The only thing that’s interesting is that Tiffany is caught by Day counting the number of letters she used. “She’s not throwing the veto”, Day complains.

Day is the first to lock in her word, and they all scramble as it is the last minute of the 12-minute time limit. Paul is the first to reveal his word, and it’s “slouched”. He gets nine points. He’s confident. Tiffany has spelled “twinkling”, which is a ten-point word. She’s now in the lead. “At the end of the day…” Ugh.

Day is next, and she has spelled “redemption”. “What a good word”, says Frank. Unfortunately, that’s only a nine-point word. Yep, she’s still pissed that Day counted her letters. Zakiyah’s word is “duration”, but it’s only worth six points. Bronte has used the word “powerful”, and it’s also a ten-point word. Since Bronte rang in before Tiffany, she’s now in the lead. Paulie is the last person up, and he spelled “Sustainability”. Wow, he’s smarter than I ever thought. Yet it’s only worth ten points, but since he rang in before Bronte he wins the POV! Yeah yeah yeah. We get it, Day. You’re still pissed at the “poker player’s sister”.

There’s another commercial break before we see people celebrate. Nicole does the worst white-girl dance ever in the HOH. “You did great.” Downstairs, Victor talks about how Bronte could have won if she had found either of two letters she needed. He still believes he’s in a pretty good spot since Paulie obviously wouldn’t change any nominations. He even thinks Tiffany is the target.

In the bedroom, though, Day is still going on about Tiffany counting her letters. She’s bitching to Frank, and is then joined by Nicole and Paulie. And once again we’re led to believe Frank is also behind this plan.

In the kitchen, Bronte and Natalie are talking. Bronte is feeling sorry for herself, and tells Natalie that she only trusts her.

Paulie then rewards Paul for the trust he showed by not picking Victor to play for him, and is going to tell Victor that he’s going to take the heat for putting up Victor. He’ll also be the one going down off the block.

Frank then goes upstairs to talk about who should be taken down, and Paulie informs them that he’s already told Paul about the plan. As they begin to talk about backdooring Victor, he walks in. Paulie then jumps into the shower, and it becomes awkward.

I knew this was going to happen. We have to have stupid James pranks, and this time he scares Nicole by hiding in a trash can in the storage room. Enough. Please. It’s old.

Serious music comes on again as a bunch of girls are in the have-not room. Nicole wants to know what they think about Tiffany. Day now wants to “keep the eight solid”, but they’re tired of Tiffany’s paranoia. Even Nicole thinks that maybe it would be better to be done with Tiffany. Day says “we have been given a gift. You comfort that gift. You nurture that gift.” Guess what? Ask Day five minutes later and she’ll have a different opinion. Or ask Nicole.

Outside, Victor and Paul are playing pool. Victor tells him that he should be feeling good, but Paul says he doesn’t trust anybody. Victor believes that Tiffany is the real target. Dummy. Paul asks him how sure he is, and Victor says “pretty sure”. Now Paul feels bad that he can’t help his friend. Paul again says that he believes Bronte will be going down, with Victor replacing him.

I have to admit that the editors did a solid job in creating questions before the all-important POV meeting. Even if the reality wasn’t nearly as questionable as they made it sound. Yes, Tiffany’s name came up many, many times, but just as quickly everybody moved back to going after Victor.

Now that I’ve stated this, you know what happens here. Paulie replaces Paul with Victor after listening to them babble useless pleas. Paul plays up his gratitude, and Victor is put up. “I forgive you, and you’re my boy, but at the end of the day I can’t forget that I was almost out of the house last week.” What an idiotic fake reason.

Victor somehow understands why he was nominated, but he believes he can say. “Paulie, you better watch out.” Paul is bummed that his buddy is now on the block, but it’s his own fault. Tiffany says she still has the “eight pack”, but one is never really safe. Day, however, thinks they can still go after Tiffany. No she doesn’t. Stop it.

That’s it for tonight! Will Tiffany change everybody’s minds by tomorrow night? Can Victor pull up a big upset? Do you wish they’d show more of Natalie’s curves? Give me your thoughts!!! Now!!!!

Big Brother Season 18, Episode 6 Recap

I’m sure a dozen or so of you were wondering why there wasn’t a recap last night. Usually the final credits aren’t completed before I have my snark-filled analysis of the evening’s CBS broadcast on the blog. Well, not this time.

I have a pretty good excuse, though. We did record this week’s Big Brother Gossip Show on Sunday afternoon instead of the usual Saturday evening. When we call this episode “Daydrinking” we weren’t kidding. I had a couple of whiskey-cokes, I must admit.

We finished recording a little over an hour or so before the broadcast was to begin, and I had to also upload the file and post it to the various podcast sites and blogs. By the time I was finished the show had already begun.

Plus, I’ll be honest I was burnt out on these people. Besides the over two hours we spent broadcasting, I had spent a good portion of the day preparing audio. By the time we were done, this half-tipsy boy was tired of hearing the likes of Nicole, Bronte, Frank, and others. I didn’t need to again hear the network version of those same clips.

Now it’s the next day, and my mind is now right to take a look at what I missed. This won’t be the usual extended recap, though. I’ll note some of what happened, and maybe describe the competitions, but that’s about it.

Speaking of competitions, this episode begins where the eviction episode dropped off. There’s a team-oriented HOH competition happening where the players have to collect “berries” and carry them across beams and obstacles. The first team to collect ten berries wins, and the person with the last berry is the new HOH.

You know how the comps work on the broadcast. The rules are repeated multiple times, and way too many people state the importance of winning. Paul also complains that people broke promises to him and voted against Jozea. Victor adds that Frank pulled him aside to warn him that this was going to happen. Frank adds in the diary room that Victor is his new target.

Paul is also annoyed that Zakiyah and Day are moving way too slow. He’s right. James is also dilly-dallying. He upps his pace a bit, but when it looks like they’re going to win he decides it’s time to throw it so that they can go after Victor. We see him purposely falls, and Frank’s team then goes on to win. Frank made the corporate decision to let Paulie take that last berry since he was on the block the previous week. Strangely, James throwing the comp leads to Victor crying in the diary room about losing Jozea.

After commercials, everybody heads in. Day says she is just going to sit back and enjoy the week since she feels safe. Paul repeats that he can’t trust anybody and he doesn’t have the numbers he believed he had. Duh. The winning alliance heads into the bedroom and jumps around in celebration. The goal is to put Victor and Bronte on the block.

In the bathroom, Natalie is crying because she just cast a vote against the new HOH, Paulie. James comes in and tells her to “just keep your cool”. He says she has nothing to worry about. “I got ya, girl.”

Bronte and Paul are also bummed out. Paul is convinced that Natalie did not vote to evict Jozea. She goes through exactly who voted against him, and Paul claims to believe her. Day  and Zakiyah then walk through the room. “I can’t believe they lied to us”, Bronte says.

Paul then moves over to chat with Victor. They know the odds are both of them are going up, so they need to win Roadkill and pOV. Paulie walks in the room, and Victor says he understands if they’re nominated. He promises to be loyal to Paulie, and points out the girl/boy ratio. Natalie’s name is one that is brought up. Bronte joins them, and Victor claims that she is the strongest girl, and Paulie and Victor are the strongest guys. “Plus, you saw how loyal we were to Jozea.” Yeah, that’s a good way to work Jozea’s competitive nominee.

Up in the HOH, Paulie asks Paul about Victor. Paulie is trying to gain some trust from Paul, and the goal is to separate him from Victor and possibly make him a pawn. He tells Paul that they want to ensure that Victor doesn’t play in the POV so he can be backdoored. In the diary room, Paul says “I’ve got to do it or go home”.

It’s filler time, and it’s once again James and his stupid pranks and flirting. I’m sick of it. Move on.

Back to important matter. It’s nomination time, and as expected it’s Paul and Bronte. Paulie’s explanation is that he’s “not really sure” about either of them, and they were against him the previous week. Weak sauce.

After the ceremony, Natalie tells Bronte to “let Paul self-destruct”. She says that she’s got to go “under the radar” and just put a smile on her face. “I’ve got your back, girl”, Natalie replies.

Victor feels relieved, but isn’t sure that he’s safe. Paul says he has to “play dumb” so that Victor doesn’t blow his cover and end up getting him evicted. Somebody must have instructed Victor what a “backdoor plan” really means.

There’s more filler after commercials, and for some reason “Not Gay” Corey is babbling about his love for Christmas. Why? Is it because he’s otherwise never shown? And then we go from that to more pranks????? Why???? Make it stop!!!

Bridgette and Natalie are then shown playing chess. Or trying to play chess...when we hear the BB Roadkill sound effect. This time they have to “return” their Big Brother souvenirs. The goal is to have six return tags add up to $18 in the quickest amount of time. As always, the rules are explained again, and many talk about the importance of winning. Excruciating. Somehow the mathematician doesn’t win. Instead it is Victor!!!

There’s another set of adverts, and then everybody is back in the house. Victor is now all smiles, and it doesn’t take long for the entire house to figure it out. Victor initially screws up by informing Paulie that he won. “Thank you for letting me know that I should just go and tell everybody in the house that you are the winner.” What a dummy. Victor thinks telling Paulie will help keep him safe.

Victor then tells an incredulous Frank. “He actually thinks he can trust me.” Paul is then told, and he informs Victor to not let anybody else know. “Trust me.” Paul knows the rest of the house is “playing him”. “They’re all working together...we’re all sitting ducks.” Victor says he doesn’t think that’s the case.

Victor then heads upstairs to the HOH, and after Tiffany leaves he says “I hope y’all aren’t playing me, man”. Frank and Paulie tell him not to worry, and after Frank leaves Victor talks about who he should nominate. The two main names are Tiffany and James. Even stupid Paulie believes this conversation is idiotic.

We’re at the end of the show, which means everybody must gather to find out who Victor...I mean the secret Roadkill winner has nominated. The last nominee is Tiffany!!!!

So that’s it to a pretty mediocre episode. I’m really glad I waited a day to sit through this. What did you think? Is Victor even dumber than Paul? Is James a bore? Let us know!!!

HoH Results, Nominations, Roadkill winner and 3rd nom.

While we may not be as prolific as some, we pack a lot of punch in each post.......

Here are the bullet points you need to get caught up on Big Brother 18 since Thursday nights episode.

  • Frank's team won the HoH competition and Paulie was made HoH. That means Frank, Bridgette and Michelle are safe this week from nomination. Apparently James was very obvious about throwing the competition to assure that Victor was not safe.
  • On Friday Paulie nominated Paul and Bronte. The actual target is Victor and they want to try the good ole 'backdoor' on Victor by keeping him from playing for the Power of Veto.
  • Friday afternoon they spent several hours playing the Roadkill competition.  Numbers and math and possibly calculating dollar totals were involved, some house guests were rumored to have thrown the competition (WHY?????) and in the end it appears Victor won even though the winner is supposed to remain secret.
  • We know Victor won because he told Frank and others who in turn filled everyone else in.
  • Victor then nominated Tiffany which was revealed late Friday night.  His excuse was in part he didn't want people to think it was him nominating - but as we know - everyone knows.  I'm trying to find out if Victor could have nominated himself.  If he could have then he would be eligible to play for the POV and possible keep himself from being 'backdoored.'
  • Interestingly - the Have Nots have yet to be named.  Is this because Big Brother wants to spare them the Bumper Car beds that we hear are painful to sleep in? James expected to be made a Have Not so that Victor would be 'weak' in case he got to play for the POV but now it appears the Have Nots will not be named until after the POV competition.
We now wait for that Power of Veto competition to be held, it should be today (Saturday).  Again the plan by Paulie and his alliance (he's on the fringe of the 8-pack) is to not let Victor play and then nominate him when the POV is used by whomever does win it - and Tiffany may throw the competition to keep Victor from being able to replace her and also be safe in the process.

As a side note - the Big Brother Gossip Show will be live TOMORROW, Sunday.  We have a tentative time of 4pm Eastern (1pm Pacific / BBT) but you should check our twitter accounts and bigbrotherpodcast.com to be sure as it may be a little earlier or later.  We are also working to bring you some kind of  'special' show tonight - but no promises yet!
