Big Brother Gossip #915: Season Finale

We here at the Big Brother Gossip Show truly loved this season so we decided to actually do a postseason finale. We chatted about everything that happened during the 90 minute CBS broadcast, and we have all sorts of suggestions for future season.

We also have a tons of opinions about various aspects of this season as a whole. Was Tyler robbed? Would JC had won if he made the final two? Will Angela and Tyler last? Will Snoggy and Bayleigh make it? More importantly, are the rumors true about her being pregnant? Obviously, we also have a final goodbye to that silly little woman named Sam.

This has been so much fun this season. The feeds were great, and this cast gave us all kinds of material to work with. Unlike previous seasons, we actually like the vast majority of these people, and it certainly influenced our episodes this season.

We thank you guys so much for listening to this show, and it also helps us out a lot if you do some simple little things like retweet this post, or any post about the Big Brother Gossip Show. Big Brother Gossip Show #914: Mastermind JC

Normally, tonight's show would be the finale for the wonderful trio of hosts that is the Big Brother Gossip Show! No, it's not the case this year. We love this season so much that we are doing a postseason finale next Thursday night! Can you believe it, girls? And guys, too.

Tonight's show focuses on the last little bit of game as we headed to the final three of the season. Who will win? Can JC overcome the fact he's done nothing in the game but win a late HOH? Does Tyler stand a chance with a bitter jury? Did KC do anything but win POV's? We'll answer all of that and much more!

We thank you guys so much for listening to this show, and it also helps us out a lot if you do some simple little things like retweet this post, or any post about the Big Brother Gossip Show. Big Brother Gossip Show #913: Sam On Film

So Tyler didn't end up being her dream man. Brett was certainly a disappointment. Fessie was in love with the harlot. That didn't stop Sam, though. She still found herself a replacement for Hogan. Too bad she's never seen this person as he is apparently one of the camera men on the other side of the Big Brother walls.

Yes, Sam has fallen in love with a person she hasn't ever seen. "He" may not even be a man. That hasn't stopped her from devoting hours and hours on this person. They've even had a lover's tiff or two.

Obviously we have a ton of fun recapping all of these misadventures, along with a detailed look at Thursday's double eviction. And the fallout from Angela winning Thursday night's HOH competition. Could this be the end of Sam's time in the house? Is she destined to finally end up at the "little house"?

Big Brother Gossip Show #912: KC & The L6 Band

Season 20 of Big Brother is starting to wind down, which admittedly means the live feeds are also starting to slow down. That doesn't mean nothing is happening, though, and we cover everything that has happened the last few days.
Of course the big news is that Kaycee won the latest HOH competition, beating Brett by less than a second. Sure, her nominations were pretty obvious, and even the two nominees (Sam and Haleigh) understood they were to be put up. That didn't stop either of them from acting as they normally act when this is a possibility. Haleigh was as phony as usual, and Sam was...well, Sam was as weird as usual.
That's not to say this week was nothing but fun. Friday was actually a nightmare due to the fact that a half dozen former players made their way into the house so that one of our least favorite former winners could get engaged. Ugh. We still talked about it, as we don't skip any of the house's major events.

Big Brother Gossip #911: Don't Beam Me Up Scottie

As expected, this week was the Battle Back, and Scottie was the one who beat that behemoth of a foursome that consisted of him and Bayleigh, Rock Star, and Fessie. Yeah, what a furious group of competitors to go against, although it was sort of surprising he beat this sort of ball drop competition against a large person such as Fessie.

But should it be so surprising? Fessie has been a disappointment from day one. Not only did he consist of absolutely no intuition about this game, he was not the physical threat he claimed to be. Week after week he did not succeed at comps that seemed to be set up for him, such as last week's "ball catch" POV or this weeks ball drop. Yeah, he's a complete faildozer.

We go over all of this material, along with the craziness that is Sam, or the controversial actions of JC. Is Tyler set up to win this game? We also talk about the reasons why he should win, and why he may not succeed.

Big Brother Gossip Show #910: Love Will Tear Us Apart

If one were to listen to just Fessie you would think that the game belongs to him. He's going to just roll through the final five weeks and dominate before making a triumphant victory.

And also win the girl. The girl by the name of Haleigh.

We here at the Big Brother Gossip Show have a huge prediction. Hes' going to win neither the game nor the girl. In fact, he's probably leaving the house this week (unless of course he wins the POV that at upload time has not been completed). He may think he made the greatest move of all time by evicting HIS OWN ALLY, but he set himself up for the failure that is this week.

Why did this week go wrong? Well, Angela won HOH, and she has no real reason to live up to the agreement that he suggested last week. Yet he's not concerned. All he cares about is that the girl of his dreams, Haleigh, will sleep in the same bed as him for these last few days together.

So one of these two will probably be evicted this week, meaning that Haleigh will be "left" with either Scottie or Brett. Yes, the Battle Back will change this scenario, but go with the fun of the original possibility (which can still come true).

We chat about all of this, along with the continued goofiness of Sam, JC's shit stirring ways, and the possible romance developing between Angela and Tyler.

We thank you guys so much for listening to this show, and it also helps us out a lot if you do some simple little things like retweet this post, or any post about the Big Brother Gossip Show. Big Brother Gossip Show #909: Bizarre Love Triangle

Finally, after weeks and weeks that comp beast Fessie won HOH. Will he make the correct moves? Will he go after Level 6? Is Tyler his main target?

Of course not. All season long, Fessie has thought with his penis instead of his brain. This week is no exception. He just has to go after the person who says "I love you" to his showmance partner. The person who says he's "smitten' with that girl. Who cares if this is a horrible move to further his game?

As if that silliness isn't enough, we also have the ongoing goofiness surrounding Sam. After keeping her obsession with Brett under wraps for a week, she finally had the nerve to (sort of) let him know her feelings. The result was one of the most hilarious hours of feeds we've seen in quite some time.

Big Brother Gossip Show #908: Sam Interrupted

Look, we have no choice but to focus this week's episode on our favorite little Virginia welder. She was the focus of the feeds from the moment that Thursday's show ended...plus every chance that we can let Colette do her impression we're going to give her free reign.

So this week gave Colette plenty of opportunities as she was nuttier than Kaitlyn was even at her craziest moments. At one point she was hiding in a closet. At another point she was muttering to herself as she sat on a storage room counter. She was full of paranoid comments about herself and how others viewed her.

Then we figured out exactly what was going on. This goofball has fallen in love!!! She in infatuated with another houseguest, and it's not who you may think it would be! Oh she has it in for this fella, and tonight's show runs down everything about this unrequited love.

How to listen to the Big Brother Gossip Show

This past week I put up a poll on my twitter account asking if you listen to the Big Brother Gossip Show each week.  Of the 1000+ replies about 25 % answered, "No, I don't know how to" - that means they (perhaps you) would listen if you only knew how.  So this little post if going to show you several ways to check out our show and hopefully you'll become one of our fans and learn a lot about Big Brother that you didn't know before.

But first.....  a little history about us and how we support ourselves.......

We've been putting our a weekly Podcast about Big Brother since season 13.  That's 10 seasons when you include "Over the Top" and "Celebrity.  Its what I call 'not your parent's podcast' - we drink, we use bad words, we disagree, and we laugh - a lot.  For us its a great way to spend a Saturday night.

On each show we start out by thanking our Patrons, those are the fans who are our sponsors.  Yup, we don't have any advertisers, any money we get is from the people that listen to us, and our podcast is FREE.  We have a couple bonus level including, access to Scott and Colette's bonus shows about other reality shows, aptly titled "Day Drinking" - we answer fan questions usually related to Big Brother - and Colette does in depth investigative reports on our "Executive Producers" who are our biggest supporters.  Plug time.... if YOU would like to become a Patron you can visit our Patreon page here.

Alright, now that that is done lets give you some of the many ways you can listen to our  show.

I'm guessing some of you that don't know how to listen to it aren't quite sure what 'podcasts' are.  Quite simply its just a recording - in our case audio only but some folks put out Video Podcasts as well.  We record the audio and Scott posts it to a server and then all the other podcasting 'services' see the new recording and share it with their subscribers.  What I'm going to provide is a list of different websites and applications (apps) you can use to listen.

Techy disclaimer....  I'm a Windows computer kinda person, I also mainly use an iPhone for my mobile device.  So Macs are not my strong suit, and I do have an Android tablet but I seldom use it.  Finally Linux?  If you use linux you aren't reading this because you already know how to listen to podcasts!  I've also added instructions for Amazon Echo and Google Home at the end!

Here are the many ways to listen to out show,  in most cases you can install the application on your device, some require you to register, then search for the "Big Brother Gossip Show" and you'll find us!

  • iTunes - this is the thing we plug a lot because its the largest podcasting system out there. You'll need a computer running Windows or Mac OS to listen - or an iPhone or iPad.  On the phone or iPad you can simply launch the "Podcasts" app and search for Big Brother Gossip and you should find our show. On your computer this link should take you right to the iTunes page which will give you the option to install iTunes LINK
  • Stitcher - I use this myself for most of my podcast listening.  You can use it from a web browser but its also an app that you can install on your mobile devices - just search your app store (iphone or android) for Stitcher and once you have it installed you can again search for and add the "Big Brother Gossip Show" - this link will take you directly to our show page in a web browser: Link to our shows on Stitcher
  • Tune In - Tune in allows you to listen to a lot of radio stations as well as podcasts.  There is an app for both iPhones and iPads as well as Android devices.  Again they have a web page as well where you can listen to our show on your computer: TuneIn Link
  • Patreon - Can't forget our Patreon page.  You don't have to be an actual Patron of our show to listen to the podcast there, and there is a Patreon app that you can download as well - link to the Big Brother Gossip Show on Patreon.
  • Soundcloud - yup, Scott lovingly places every episode on Soundcloud as well - get the app or just go to this page.
  • For the hard core, "I just want to download the show as an MP3 and play it" people, you can go to the source, Scott's page, and have at it: Real Punk Radio's BBG page.
  • Finally there are so many 'podcasting' apps out there - some I have heard folks say they use: Overcast, Podbay, PlayerFM, just do a search in google or another search engine for "Podcasting Apps" and you will find tons, all of which should be able to play the show.

Did I still not answer your question?  Do you need some hand holding?  THATS OK!!  Tweet at me @BBGossip or email me at ilovereality at gmail and I'll try to help you out!!

UPDATE: I forgot that you can also listen to the show via your Amazon Echo or Google Home.  Its really simple.

Have an Echo?  Just say the following, "Alexa, play the Big Brother Gossip Show on Tune In"  and she'll play the latest episode.

On a Google Home you can simply say, "OK Google, play the Big Brother Gossip Show on Tune In"

Now get listening!!

Big Brother Gossip Show #907: Hacked HOH

A week that looked like it was going to be boring turned out to be full of game play, and it's all due to a twist that we all thought was unnecessary. Yet the Hacker twist turned out to do everything it set out to do. It created paranoia. It created a little bit of thinking outside the box. And for the first time all season Tyler was in a bit of trouble.
Could he play his way out of this dilemma? It appears that he did. Listen to tonight's show to hear all of the craziness from the Big Brother live feeds, including Sam's ridiculous house meeting!

Big Brother Gossip Show #906: Plan Bay

With Kaitlyn gone thanks to complete incompetence, we now are forced to endure the leadership of Ms Bayleigh. Can she handle the pressure? More importantly, can she lessen the number of time she has to blow her nose?
This week is all about her picks for nominations, and the paranoid reaction of a person who is told all of Bayleigh's secrets. Yes, Rachel is a mess, and even attempts to toss her own allies under the bus.

Big Brother Gossip Show #904: Revenge of the Nerd

After two weeks of Tyler controlling the house, there's a new sheriff in town. At first it looked like it may be the third week of him taking the lead, but it turns out the Last American Virgin had a mind of his own.
It appears that the bro's are in trouble, and we cover everything that happened so far during his reign. Who's going home this week? Winston? Brett? Rock Star? Haleigh? Listen to this show to find out everything that happened over the last few days!

Big Brother Gossip #903: Lunatic Fringe

So far, the Big Brother feeds have been nothing short of amazing. There's no returnees to mute the insanity. There's a group of 16 people playing hard to win the season. What more can we ask for?

We certainly didn't expect the insanity of this week, starring that lunatic Kaitlyn. She is a live feed treat. On Monday she dominated the feeds with her insane jealousy that Fessie may be interested in Haleigh. Tyler capitalized on this and got her to switch her vote. Bye bye Steve.

That's not the entire story of this week, however. Kaitlyn shocked the entire Big Brother world by winning this week's HOH competition, and she's certainly lived up to her lunatic personae ever since. It's been a glorious weekend of HOH meetings and illicit flirtation. She's a wealth of insane quotes.

Obviously, she's not the only person that created news this week. We talked about Baileigh's insecurities, Swaggy's tendency to always be wrong in his analysis, and Rachel's reaction to "winning" the least trending app. It's a great week that sets the stage for days of fantastic live feeds.

Big Brother Gossip Show #902: Bad Robot?

The Big Brother season doesn't truly begin until the live feeds kick in. This week's show primarily talks about the 36 or so hours since the feeds were turned on. Although it's always a big confusing at first, it didn't take long to be able to recognize this is one zany cast. We have Swaggy, or as Scott likes to call him, Soggy, and his supposed knowledge of everything. There's also the Bro Twins who are so cool that they've transformed the high five into the high elbow. Don't forget the silliness of Kaitlyn, whose aura isn't nearly as positive as she believes. There's also the real question of the true personality of Sam. Is she the bright eyed, bushy-tailed Southern belle the CBS episodes made us believe, or is she a whiny, crying little brat?

We go through all of these topics, along with a Fear Factor-ish POV that seems to be unlike anything that's ever happened before. There's also the "app store" power. Who has it? What does it mean?

We thank you guys so much for listening to this first show of the season, and it also helps us out a lot if you do some simple little things like retweet this post, or any post about the Big Brother Gossip Show. Or if you're a member of our Facebook group, hit that little share button. You can find this show at all of the various podcast sites, or click here for a direct download!

Introducing all 16 #BB20 houseguests

When CBS posts six-minute interviews with each of the houseguests, the Big Brother season is officially underway for me. I enjoy watching each interview and posting a few thoughts about each of the cast.

Hi, friends! It’s John, aka @UselessTraffic, occasional contributor and creator of the Big Brother Gossip Ticker graphic, which is coming soon for #BB20 to keep you up to date on game happenings via Twitter. It’s time to get geared up for another summer of Big Brother.

My impressions of the cast are entirely from the interviews posted on CBS All Access. (There are even more houseguest interviews in a playlist over on ET Canada’s YouTube channel.) What I always hope to see during interviews:

1. A cast made up of 100% newbies — no veterans from previous seasons and no relatives of previous houseguests.

2. Awareness of how the Big Brother USA game works, at least from some of them.

3. If any of them profess to be superfans, okay, fine … but show some awareness that previous so-called superfans overplayed their games and got evicted.

4. CBS always asks if they’re seeking a showmance. Bonus points to any houseguest who answers, “If it happens, great, but my priority is to win the game.”

5. If CBS asks if they prefer to be loved by America but lose the game … or hated by America but win the game, I will automatically dislike any houseguest who answers “I want to be loved.” Because WTF are you there?!

I'm watching them simply in the order the videos appear in the CBS app on my Apple TV, and the first #BB20 houseguest interview to watch is Rachel Swindler. Here we go!

Rachel
Rachel Swindler, 29, is a performer in Vegas, which suggests she’s one of the people who is there not so much for the game as to seek stardom. On the other hand, Rachel says she’s been a fan since #BB1 and that she knows the key to winning is jury management, establishing good relationships with the whole house. She once worked at a theme park, sharing one bathroom with 12 people. That actually sounds like good practice for #BB20.

Rachel says “I would like to have a showmance” but it would “throw a kink” into jury management. She doesn’t want to get so invested in a relationship for the duo to be seen as a threat by other HGs (houseguests) or for a relationship to get in way of her game. Rachel said the right words, but can she pull it off?

By the way, Ross Mathews, runner up of the first U.S. edition of Celebrity Big Brother, is the one who did the CBS interviews of the #BB20 cast. They made him ask the “would you rather be hated but win, or be loved but lose” question. Rachel said she’d rather lose — which totally invalidates her interview for me. Any houseguest who answers that way is a waste of space. Obviously she just seeks stardom.

Kaitlyn
Kaitlyn Herman has lived in LA since November and she’s a “life coach and meditation instructor.” A life coach at age 24? All of that is likely code for “I want to be famous and I’m only on Big Brother to get noticed, hopefully." She says, “I’m very sensitive to people’s energy. I do read people’s auras. I’m very, very intuitive.” (Inside message to fellow BigBrotherGossip contributor Scott: Save this clip and play it every time she’s blindsided … which I predict will be often.)

Kaitlyn says that using her intuitiveness and aura-reading-skills will “100%” be her game strategy because nobody else has done it yet. Oh, gawd. “Not everyone’s as self-assured or believes in themselves as much as I might.” I predict is in for a rude awakening in the #BB20 house.

To the “choose between losing and being loved or winning and being hated,” Kaitlyn says she’d prefer to win. “I’m not going in this for any other reason except to win.” It’s the only correct answer … but after all the “I read auras” stuff, it’s surprising Kaitlyn said this. “In 2018, if someone could win” without backstabbing, then we “win as a country.” There you go. Kaitlyn For ’Merica, people! Sounds nice, but good luck with that strategy, dear.

Chris “Swaggy C”
Next up: Chris “Swaggy C” Williams. Do we really have to call him “Swaggy C”? He’s wearing a shirt with his own name and he implies that CBS recruited him. Chris “Swaggy C” plans to win the first HOH, then sit back and watch in-fighting happen in the following few weeks. He says his photographic memory will help in comps.

Chris “Swaggy C” says “showmances do not work.” YES. He speaks truth! “My mindset is to be in alliances, not to get a girl and be in a showmance.” Of the interviews I’ve seen so far, this is the first houseguest who doesn’t annoy me.

Or not. Chris “Swaggy C” chooses to “lose but America loves me” because maybe he’ll lose and come back for another season. He just went from me liking him as a houseguest to my not caring that he’s there.

Scottie
Scottie Salton, 26, is the next #BB20 interview. He’s “super excited but not nervous.” Claims to be a “big big fan” since #BB7. Scottie says he needs to be perceived as honest but not necessarily be honest. He wants to win HOH in one of the first couple weeks. He does not “have the showmance vibe. I’m the dud guy.” If he gets along with people but is not seen as a threat, I think he could go far.

Scottie reminds me of #BB17 Steve, who won his season. If Scottie can float along, be seen by others as not a threat and not a burden, be likable but not adored, never be worthy of being targeted for eviction, I think he could pull a Steve and get to the end.

Kaycee
Kaycee Clark, 30, says her social skills will help her win #BB20. “Super-cocky, controlling” kinds of people get under her skin. She says she’ll speak up when she or her friends are disrespected, but not angrily. I kind of expect to see Kaycee losing it and getting in shouting arguments. Kaycee isn’t opposed to a showmance. Ross, as interviewer, says “Showmances worry me. You have to have your eye on the prize.” I totally agree but why is Ross, not the houseguest, saying that.

Kaycee wants to “win and have people hate me” rather than lose and be loved. That’s the correct answer. “It’s Big Brother. If there need to be white lies, fine” but not slice people up.

Steve
Steve Arienta, 40, is #BB20’s requisite “old guy,” because every season they have to cast someone who is 15+ years older than most of the cast. He clearly has real-world street smarts … but as usual with the old guy, will that translate to game smarts? I’m a skeptic. On the other hand, Steve surprised me with his intuition about the game. “The game is all about politics. It’s foolish to go with only one strategy. Take a little bit from each player, mold your own strategy, know when to start to really play.”

Steve is going to hide his background of being a retired detective and a university professor. His cover story to other houseguests will be that he’s a mechanic. I think that’s smart. Steve gave the only correct answer about winning versus losing: “I’m going home with the money.” This guy is real and I’ll root for him. I hope he’s able to compete. “Old guys” too often go home early.

Sam
Sam Bledsoe, 27, a full-time welder, was previously a hairdresser and she speaks with a southern accent. Her casting is another @CBSBigBrother prerequisite. Sam says she’s a good judge of character and always sees the good in people. “In the real world, that’s a good thing. But here, I’ll have to shut that off.” Sam claims she can be ruthless.

“I’m an altruistic, magnanimous type of person—“ “—who knows large words,” says Ross. Sam says she can’t tolerate bullies. About bullies, Sam says she’s going to “quietly and intelligently tear that [bleep] apart” … and CBS actually bleeped her.

Win & hated or lose & loved? Sam gives a half answer: “It’s a case-by-case basis. They hate me for what?” She’s willing to win and be hated (I’m paraphrasing her answer) if it was for game moves against other houseguests. Ummm, okay?

Winston
Winston Hines, 28, said “I wouldn’t have signed up if I couldn’t go all the way.” He’s a fan but says he’ll try to stay in the shadows and float under the radar, letting others blow up in first couple weeks. That’s the right strategy, especially for HGs who are fans of the show. “I came on to win Big Brother. I’m not here to make more friends. I’m here to play the game.” He knows other people are there only to get more Twitter followers. Good answer.

That’s the first eight. So far, I think Steve, Winston and Scottie have the right ideas, and maybe Kaycee. But the others … no.

Tyler
Tyler Crispen, 23, is a far-out surfer dude type who claims to be a superfan. I’m already annoyed by his speaking style. Showmance? “If I want to win, no. But anything could happen, I guess.” Is he gonna be this wishy-washy all season? “Win, any day. With zero hesitation. People will respect you if you win.” His first good answer. “It takes me kind of a while to catch on to certain things, like directions. On the fly stuff, I’m not good at.” He says he’s not confrontational. If Tyler isn't gone in the first eviction, I think he’s gonna be manipulated by any HG with a gentle-but-lethal persona — in other words, he won’t even know he’s being controlled.

Haleigh
Haleigh Broucher, 21, wants to model #BB16 Derrick’s game style. A good social game is key, she says. She’s gonna lay low first couple weeks, let loud people and super-hard-super-fast players do their thing. Actually it’s a good plan.

Regarding a showmance, Haleigh says, “I’m here to play the game, but we’re here all summer … if something happens, I’ll try not to let it affect my game.” I don’t think she has enough life experience to mimic Derrick’s strategy successfully. Haleigh wants a third option to the “lose and be loved or win and be hated” question … then chooses lose and be loved. Bzzzzt! In her interview, she said smart and stupid things in equal quantities.

Faysal
Faysal Shafaat, 26, whose first name is pronounced “FEH-see.” To win, it takes versatility, he says. Gotta win comps, be social, strategize, form alliances. He says he can relate to people with different personality types. But he says a weakness is being too emotional. Faysal says he wants to win the game, and it sounds like he isn’t too worried about being hated. He kind of evaded the stupid “lose and be loved or win and be hated” question a bit, but it was better than saying he’d willingly lose. Faysal seems not too excitable, not at all nervous — but for live feed viewers, he might be dull to watch. Actually, though, his middle-of-the-road temperament reminds me of #BB16 Derrick far more than Haleigh.

JC
JC Monduix, 28, is not a tall man (4 foot 8 inches) but he looks like he works out. It’ll be interesting to see how well someone who is short but possibly very strong does in physical comps. JC speaks with a mildly thick accent. Based on that, other houseguests might possibly find him either endearing or annoying — I’m not sure if there will be a middle ground on how they feel.

JC plans to play quietly, under the radar, at least for the first few weeks. JC got nervous talking about game strategy in Ross’ interview. I think he’ll have to play quietly or his nerves may undo his game chances.

Angie “Rockstar”
Angie “Rockstar” Lantry, 34, has purple hair, huge glasses like Elton John in the mid-1970s, and a demeanor that annoys me after only 20 seconds. I hope to gawd that she doesn’t make everyone call her “Rockstar.” Angie is the only one of the interviews (at least of those I’ve seen so far) who confirms that she applied to be on the cast; she wasn’t recruited. But she didn’t watch earlier seasons until after a casting agent first called her.

In explaining how to play the game, Angie is … well, incomprehensible. She either understands game strategy perfectly but can’t articulate it, or she’s just saying random words. Angie claims that having given natural birth three times has prepared her for endurance comps. Uhhh … okay? I’ll obviously have to take her word for it. “Some of America’s gonna drag you no matter what. Ultimately, I’m in it to win.” Angie’s answer to that question wasn’t bad. But she’s … different. It ’ll be curious to see how her social game plays out. I’m not convinced she has what it takes.

Brett
Brett Robinson, 25, is a cybersecurity engineer and he said it has prepared him to do social engineering, strategically plan events, assess vulnerability, and cover his tracks. The parallels between his career field and the Big Brother game hadn’t occurred to me.

Brett wants to fly under the radar and tone down his personality to not be in the front of everyone’s minds when voting happens. Again, good strategy if he can pull it off. Brett lost me at the end. “Lose and be loved or win and be hated?” He answered: “Lose and be loved, come in second, and come back next year to win.” FAIL.

Angela
Angela Rummans, 26, is a fitness model in LA. “It takes a physical, social and mental game. Having those three things is what it takes to win.” She wants to “tread on eggshells” and not have “the other girls feel threatened by me.” Angela says she can win physical comps easily, but she plans to throw a bunch of them at first and “come off as the ditzy dumb girl, but that’s really not me at all.”

Angela says, “I do not want to do a showmance. It’s so dangerous. I’m not willing to put my game in another guy’s hands” … and she’s 100% right. But she’s young and attractive, and I wonder if she’ll ignore her own advice. “I’ll be one of the last two standing. I can guarantee that,” she says, obviously super-confident. Don’t yet know about Angela reaching the finale, but I’m guessing she’ll do well.

Bayleigh
Bayleigh Dayton, 25, on showmances: “It’s a terrible name for them, but I’m not gonna say that I’m not or that I am.” Confused viewer say what? “I’m very sassy; gotta leave that in the DR. I wanna be good, but not good enough to have a target on my back. I don’t want to be a floater, but I want to lay low.” Bayleigh talks it, but can she walk it?

“I went to all-girls private Catholic school and am youngest of all girls. I literally don’t know how to handle boys. I’ll, more, maybe just misread them? I don’t know what they want from me. I hope I won’t misinterpret any of them.” She’s actually kinda funny. But if she’s really that clueless, they might manipulate her to the detriment of her game. Bayleigh says she’ll vent in the DR but not at other houseguests. I wonder if that’ll hold true if she finds she’s been manipulated.

Ross didn’t ask Bayleigh the “do you prefer to lose and be loved or win and be hated” question.

Of the second eight interviews I watched, I was really impressed only by Angela. So, of all 16, and in no particular order, I think Steve, Winston, Scottie, Angela and Kaycee said enough of the right things to capture my initial attention and not annoy me with ridiculous answers and/or mannerisms. But the Big Brother game sometimes has a way of pushing smart, watchable people aside and propelling idiotic, highly undeserving houseguests to the end of the game and even the win (cough … #BB19 Josh … cough), so we’ll see what happens. Welcome to Big Brother 20!
