Big Brother Gossip Show Returns This Saturday!!!

There certainly cannot be another season of Celebrity Big Brother on CBS without commentary from Mike, Colete, and Scott. The gang is getting back together with weekly shows commenting on the latest news from inside the house.

The cast was announced earlier this week during the Patriots/Chargers NFL playoff game. Are some of them not familiar to you? Well that's what this week's upcoming episode is all about. We'll give you the backgrounds on each and every one of them, and offer up some predictions on whether we think they'll do well in the game.To listen live head to our mixlr site this Saturday night at 9 pm ET.

Big Brother Gossip Show Returns on Saturday!

We're exactly one week away from the season premiere of Big Brother 20 on CBS, and earlier this week we got to meet this year's fresh meat. Strangely, instead of a bunch of minions like last season's Paul disciples, we actually have a pint-sized minion lover in the cast!

You'll hear all the details regarding that little tidbit this Saturday night when the Big Brother Gossip Show returns! Scott, Colette, and Mike have spent the last few days combing through the various videos and text interviews. Who are we picking to create great drama? Who will we be praying to be an early evictee? Who will Scott enjoy sunning in the backyard? Will Mike remember any of their names?

Big News On The Upcoming Big Brother Gossip Show Season!

Since we're less than 24 hours from the big reveal of the Big Brother 19 cast, we felt that it was important that we touch base with all of you lovely supporters of the Big Brother Gossip Show. Yes, we will be back to our weekly schedule starting this Saturday (June 24). 

It's also a chance to inform you all that there have been some exciting changes to the various reward levels. Last summer, Scott and Colette put together a weekly bonus episode exclusive to Patreon. This ended up being so much fun that after the conclusion of Big Brother OTT they put together a spinoff show, Day  Drinking With Scott and Colette. 

Day Drinking has evolved into quite a marathon broadcast. Scott and Colette sip on their favorite cocktails as they discuss classic movies. Besides chatting about what they've watched over the past week, Colette chooses a handful of upcoming TCM classics that everybody should see at some point in their life. There's also a discussion of the various programming premieres on cable and streaming channels. 

Once Day Drinking is recorded, Scott and Colette carry on drinking as they recap a couple of Bravo shows from the past week for the Day Drinking bonus episode. Colette also creates a comprehensive weekly newsletter that is the perfect guide for all TV fanatics. 

These three elements are part of a separate patreon site and they have now been incorporated into the Big Brother Gossip Show patreon rewards. Please take a look at what we now have to offer, especially if you're new to the Big Brother Gossip Show. Scott and Colette are very proud of their work on Day Drinking, and we're so happy to share it with fine folks.

Please note, however, that Day Drinking does exist as a separate Patreon entity. If you followed us over to that account, you may want to make some adjustments to ensure you're not charged for both shows.

A Must Read For Big Brother Gossip Show Listeners

Excuse me, I need to clear my throat.

Can I have your attention please? I have a very important announcement.

For over six seasons, the Big Brother Gossip Show crew has come together every Saturday night to produce this program you (should) love so much. We've given up vacations, dinners, sporting events, live music, and other fun things to keep you up to date on what's really happening in the Big Brother house.

This fall season has created some obstacles, however. Some of us have unavoidable family and employment obligations that make Saturday nights impossible. There's also the reality that this season's weekly schedule has changed the day that is perfect for us to give you the information and opinions you desire from us.

Due to these issues, the Big Brother Gossip Show is moving to Monday nights. Information-wise, this puts us at the exact same place our Saturday shows cut off. The POV is played on Monday afternoon instead of Saturday, so we'll be able to provide you who won and who may be going up on the block if the POV is used.

What time will we record? Well, that's another issue. We don't know...at least for this week. One of us has a meeting in the early evening, and we'll turn on our microphones the moment that person is ready. In the future, we'll probably schedule our shows in the early evening.

For our Patreon supporters, there really is no difference. The pledged support will occur on Monday instead of Saturday, and all of the various rewards (Day Drinking, questions, etc.) will occur at their usual times.

I'm sorry if this is confusing or inconvenient for some of you. We're doing everything we can to make this work for both you and us. We love you all, you know!!!

You Down With BBOTT? Yeah, You Know Me!

Exactly seven days after Nicole officially became the winner of Big Brother 18, another season is already upon us. This online season is called Big Brother Over The Top (as I'm sure you know), and is only available online.

I know that this has confused quite a few Big Brother fans, and quite frankly we still aren't sure how this is all going to work. I do know, however, that the Big Brother Gossip Show is going to continue to give you the real scoop on what's happening in the Big Brother house!

Obviously, we'd like everybody to purchase the live feeds, but even if you don't all you need is our show to know what's happening throughout the season. In fact, if real life interferes with you ability to find time to watch this online version, you can still keep up with what's happening by listening to us!

Having said that, I'm reaching out to all of you once again about becoming one of our Patreon supporters (or continuing if you already are). Quite frankly, t's your contributions that allow us to keep our podcasts free. We're a strictly independent show. We're not part of a network that feeds traffic and advertisers. Every download is because an individual has decided we're worthy of a click, and those that contributed over this past season has assisted in our goal to always grow and improve. Patreon allows us to branch out into other projects, such as Day Drinking With Scott and Colette.

That drive to always get better is also why we're looking at offering additional rewards. We're contemplating a number of possibilities, and we're always open to ideas. Let us know if there's something that could incite you to think we're worth a tiny bit of your hard-earned cash. 

And to those who have so graciously donated, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You even bring a smile to Colette's cold, cold heart. You even make Scott forget about his beloved Replacements for a bit. Most importantly, you keep Mike out of divorce court as the end of this fall season of Big Brother will mark six straight months his lovely family have been forced to endure his obsession. 

We're Now On Patreon

With the cast announcement being pushed back a day, I thought this would be a good time to discuss something new and exciting for this year's Big Brother Gossip Show. Yesterday we announced that we have joined Patreon!
Patreon is kind of like an ongoing version of Kickstarter that's perfect for podcasts. Like Kickstarter, there are "perks" at various levels that rewards those who contribute to our show. Listeners have suggested we use this site for the last couple of years, but honestly I didn't really know how it works.
Since our kind listeners were so generous with donations last year, it made sense to investigate how we can give back to those who give to us. These rewards include the ability to send us questions to answer on the show. You can possibly also receive ring tones and other sound files. Another level includes the introduction of a bonus show that only goes to pledges of a certain level (and above).
That's right, I said BONUS SHOW!!! People have been begging us to do more shows during the season, and that's exactly what we're going to do. Details are pending, but we're considering a few different ideas. Big Brother will certainly be discussed, but we may spend some time talking about other shows we're watching. We will probably be recording and releasing these bonus episodes around the middle of the week.
Don't worry, these extra shows will not affect what we do on Saturday night. We'll still be on Mixlr every Saturday night at 10 pm ET, and those shows will be on iTunes and Stitcher shortly after we're finished. We also won't be "saving" topics for the bonus shows.
Another great aspect of Patreon is that you are only charged when we do a Saturday show (or if we do it on Friday or Sunday due to a scheduling issue). If we skip a week for any reason (which is unlikely), you don't have to worry. This will also be the case when the season is finished.
