Your Nominees Are...Well, 2 Of Them

Expect the expected.

This overlong process began last night at 7 pm BBT when Alex revealed the first four people safe from eviction (plus Jason, who was saved by Kryssie's Care Package prize). Her picks were (in order) Kryssie, Whitney, Neeley, and Morgan. No surprise here. Production clearly learned something from last week, though, as instead of 30 minutes Alex was prompted when to make her picks during a five minute segment.

Tonight saw the rest of her safety picks, and they were Shelby, Justin, Monte, and Scott. 

Yes, that means the nominees are Danielle and Shane, as we knew they would be. The pair quickly left the table to get rid of their unlit necklaces, and then headed to feel sorry for themselves in the bedroom. Shane says it was a stupid move because even if one of them leaves the other "will take her out". Well, that could be said about any HOH pick for nominee. They're also hoping that the person we put up will save their asses.

Interestingly, we didn't have the usual "I nominated you because..." segment because the two nominees didn't want to hear Alex's "bullshit speech". Danielle adds that Alex and "kiss my ass. You're just a coward.". 

Speaking of which, it's now time for you to pick the third nominee. My suggestion is Scott, who I just can't bear to watch on the feeds anymore. We'll find out who the person is tomorrow afternoon, along with the results of the POV competition.

One More First - The First Fight!!!

This is good stuff. The story starts earlier today when Monte and his favorite plastics were talking about Justin and his nice clothes. Monte made a joke about how he must steal them.

Danielle was sitting with them at the time eating breakfast, and immediately after the have-not announcement she informed Justin what he said. This initiated fireworks, as Just yelled at Monte to never look at him, along with a couple of "fuck you's" and "suck my dick".

Monte, as always, rose to the occasion. On one hand, he was admitting to saying such a thing as he kept complaining that somebody ratted him out, but at the same time he denied saying anything remotely racial. More than once he said that he hoped Justin would punch him so he'd be immediately kicked out.

At this point, Monte and others were blaming Scott for spreading the initial story. The last 24 hours haven't been good for Scott, as people are figuring out his game. They all know he's running to one side with stories from the other side, and last night he enraged Kryssie when he described how his game plan is to make one-week deals. In other words, this week he's promised his vote to what Alex wants, which is different from last week and will be different again next week. Not the brightest method.

Things got a bit weird at this point, though, as Neeley asked Monte point-blank if he's racist. What's he going to say? "Oh yeah, I hate your race." Of course not, but when he gave the predictable answer it was enough to satisfy Neeley.

After that, Danielle did admit to Monte that it was her that told Just what had been said earlier. Now she didn't say this when the moment was heated, but an hour later in the storage room. This led Monte to get onto a strange rebuttal where he actually said it's hard to be a white southerner in these controversial times. He repeated said story a number of time the rest of the afternoon.

When everything died down, the cameras caught a tiny yet telling moment between Danielle and Shane. As everybody else wandered off, they whispered to each other that their mission was accomplished. They think they saved themselves.

Now there's a little bit of differing viewpoints on that conversation. Some think it was referring to Monte's outburst, and others feel it was getting the blame put on Scott. The answer is actually both Monte and Scott. Keep in mind that both Danielle and Shane know they're likely to be nominated together. If they can get Alex mad enough at either Scott or Monte (or both), or can get Kryssie to use her power to save one of them, there's a greater chance that both will survive the week.

If you're still not convinced, remember that yesterday Danielle made allegations that Monte is homophobic to Kryssie. According to her, he's used a certain word to describe Jason, and he also supposedly claimed that he caught Jason looking at his crotch. In that same conversation, she also confided that in a conversation during the first week she pretended to be a Trump fan in agreement with Monte to raise suspicions with some people in the house.

I guess it's safe to say that Danielle is more conniving than we originally believed. The joke is on her, though, as Alex has not backed down from her plan on putting them both up, and as this was going to press Kryssie announced that she was saving Jason with her power.

Interesting stuff, right? Any thoughts?

Have Not Reveal

I was wrong yesterday. TODAY is the final "first" of the season.

Feedsters have been voting for have-nots for the last 24 hours, and it was just revealed. It's a glorious reveal, too, as the have-nots are Monte, Morgan, and Scott. Two of those three were my choices.

Monte, of course, has reasons for why he became a have-not. "I knew I'd be a have-not." It's because he put up fan favorite Jason. Oh, and also because we thought it would be funny to up the fitness-oriented people. Yeah right. It has nothing to do with the fact he's a douchelord.

They were also shown the have-not room, which is called the Haunted House "It's actually not that bad", said Alex. Scott said "it could have been a lot worse."

Two minutes later, he was in tears in the bedroom. He claims it was because Shane has abandoned him, which is a bit of the truth, but there's no doubt he believes he was a fan favorite.

A Must Read For Big Brother Gossip Show Listeners

Excuse me, I need to clear my throat.

Can I have your attention please? I have a very important announcement.

For over six seasons, the Big Brother Gossip Show crew has come together every Saturday night to produce this program you (should) love so much. We've given up vacations, dinners, sporting events, live music, and other fun things to keep you up to date on what's really happening in the Big Brother house.

This fall season has created some obstacles, however. Some of us have unavoidable family and employment obligations that make Saturday nights impossible. There's also the reality that this season's weekly schedule has changed the day that is perfect for us to give you the information and opinions you desire from us.

Due to these issues, the Big Brother Gossip Show is moving to Monday nights. Information-wise, this puts us at the exact same place our Saturday shows cut off. The POV is played on Monday afternoon instead of Saturday, so we'll be able to provide you who won and who may be going up on the block if the POV is used.

What time will we record? Well, that's another issue. We don't know...at least for this week. One of us has a meeting in the early evening, and we'll turn on our microphones the moment that person is ready. In the future, we'll probably schedule our shows in the early evening.

For our Patreon supporters, there really is no difference. The pledged support will occur on Monday instead of Saturday, and all of the various rewards (Day Drinking, questions, etc.) will occur at their usual times.

I'm sorry if this is confusing or inconvenient for some of you. We're doing everything we can to make this work for both you and us. We love you all, you know!!!

The First Care Package!

It's almost the last "first" of the new season...until production creates something new. For the last 24 hours, viewers have been voting for America's Care Package. Since the "prize" is simply the ability to keep somebody off the block, members of the Big Brother Gossip Show suggested sending it to Kryssie. With Jason and (especially) Justin possibly being in jeopardy, she could use it to save one of them.

Sure enough, Kryssie won!!! As with last season's Care Packages, she also received a few knick knacks. The rule card says she's not safe, but before tomorrow's safety ceremony she has to pick her choice to be immune from nominations.

What's best about this accomplishment, besides potentially saving some of our greatest entertainment, is how the house will react to it. They'll completely misread it as "America" saying they love Kryssie. Various house dynamics will change, and some who think they're the "house leaders" may have reason to question themselves.

It may create a bit of chaos and paranoia, which is what we ALWAYS desire!

Julie's First Live Appearance!!!

Today marks one more "first". It's Julie Chen's first live interaction with the house, so everybody spent a little time cleaning themselves up. Even Justin took a shower. What was funny is that the king of egos, Monte, was convinced that Julie was going to spend the most time talking to him.

When she did come on the screen, the first question did go to him. Monte was reminded that none of his nominees were evicted. How did that make him feel. His response is ridiculous. "I'm just happy to be here." Alex is then congratulated on being the new HOH. She's asked if knowing about the fan vote will affect her nominations. "Absolutely." She says she has to be more strategic. "A lot more thought has to go into it."

Neeley asked about being the runner-up. She says it was a "hard" competition. "Whoop, it was hard." It is then on to Krissy regarding the stress of being on the block. She was afraid of "nervous-puking on the couch". "I wasn't ok until my name wasn't called." Julie responds that this "means the game is working". Danielle is asked the same question, and she says it's "an experience I don't look forward to seeing again". Has being a returnee hard for Jason? He says yes. "As you can see, I was under the thumb last week...but I miss my BB17 people."

Everybody giggles when Justin's name is brought up. He admits he didn't know a "damned thing" about the game. "I'm just taking it as it goes. I'm very aware, I'm ready, and excited to see what's next". He adds that the most surprising part of the game is watching everybody's strategy.

Funny enough, Shelby is asked how everybody is getting along, and she admits that groups are being formed and "I'm hearing what everybody is saying about me at night". Shane is asked if he knows everybody plenty well. "It's Big Brother. Expect the unexpected, but right now everyone seems to be genuine." Morgan is asked if the game has changed since Cornbread left. She says it was a "big wakeup call to them". They were all having fun the first week, but now "it's a game...especially with America voting".

The difference between playing and watching is...well, I couldn't figure out what Whitney said. She's impossible to understand! As a big fan, Scott is also asked how the America votes is changing how he's playing. He knows that "America has a different perception on how everything proceeds".

Alex is then reminded that she has an important decision to be made due to being the HOH. And that's it for this little chat! Honestly, this went about as expected. Julie's not exactly a journalist, but it was kind of fun to listen to.

HOH Comp Results!!!

Sorry for the delayed post, but the length of this comp, coupled with the late start time, caused me to give up about halfway through to go to bed.

At around the top of the midnight hour (east coast time), everybody was called out to the backyard. There they found Monte dressed as a king. (Gross.) This comp was called "Live by the Sword", and it was sort of a endurance competition. Every contestant had a sword, crown, and knight in their own image. Standing on a platform, they had to use their swords to keep the crown attached to their "knight" photo. If the game was still going on after one hour, they would then have to switch to a one-handed grip.

It didn't take too long for Shelby to drop, followed by Jason, who says he lost it while trying to adjust one of his hands. Shane, who had been sort of struggling from the beginning, is the next out (but I have a feeling he threw this comp). Weirdly, it was around this time that Scott asked Jason how many times the second HOH ended up being the winner of the season. Jason didn't know, but Scott actually did. (The answer is nobody.)

Justin, who has been pretty animated throughout the game, suddenly is worried about his pants falling off. Seriously, he's been pretty lackadaisacal throughout the first hour, dancing around in place like a lunatic.

It was at this point that they had to switch to a one-handed grip (and a bit later Alex is warned because her other hand was touching the pole). Morgan drops, followed by Scott and Kryssie. Almost a full half hour later, a shivering (and upset) Danielle is out. A half hour later, the next to be eliminated is Whitney.

Another 15 minutes or so later, and Justin is out. How he held his crown in place is a mystery, as he was crouching and dancing throughout the whole game. Shelby even commented how he was doing "some Michael Jackson shit".

It's now between Alex and Neeley, and they begin chatting about deals. Neeley desperately wants a real bed to get some sleep, but Alex seriously wants HOH. Every offer one gives, the other says they'll do the same. There's even talk of sharing the HOH (ala James/Nicole), The negotiating ends after a few minutes, but both swears they'll keep the other safe.

Finally, just short of the 2 1/2 hour mark, Neeley's crown drops and Alex is the HOH! She runs around the backyard, hugging Shelby while Monte is standing there holding her key. She finally grabs it, and then the plotting over nominations begins.
