What a glorious day of live feeds!
The day started with the announcement of America's nominee. Yes, it was Danielle. And yes, there was some good fun at this meeting, which also included the POV draw. Justin and Alex joined Scott, Neeley, Kryssie, and Danielle.
The fireworks began almost immediately as Neeley noticed the girls celebrating in the bathroom. How dare they? She was fuming as she related the story in the bedroom. "I'm about to rip her ass off and hand it to her", she fumed. "Took everything and the angels and Jesus Christ to stop me from jumping on the back of her neck. She's being way too ignorant, and real reckless right now."
Jason attempted to clarify what happened, so she carried on. Kryssie and her saw them celebrating as they were warming up their tea in the microwave. Those "bitches just ran to the bathroom, and started shimmying and all this bullshit." At some point, the word heifers was thrown in there. Good stuff.
It took almost an hour, but the expected whine session from Danielle also finally kicked off. "I don't understand why America wants to keep people like that in this game", she said. "After Neeley came in here, it took everything in her not to go punch Shelby in the face. I don't understand why I'm constantly being targeted, and now America made me a have-not and nominated me in the same week. My whole life I have been bullied and made fun of by girls like that. I have a thick skin and can take the passive aggressive thing from the girls but my biggest fear coming into the house was America not liking me."
When they all headed outside, there was a curtained off area with buzzers facing it. One cam showed the view behind the curtain which was puzzle pieces and platforms to place them. On a table were the three different types of vetoes, and a lengthy card of instructions for Jason to read. "It has paragraphs on it", he said just before the feeds went to fish. (This is done for production to provide them some information.)
It's a knock-out type puzzle comp. One person challenges another, and the first to complete their puzzle moves on to the next round. If the person who buzzes in is wrong, they are eliminated and their competitor moves on. Game pieces are also reset between rounds.
Scott then announces he's choosing the double veto. Jason then pulls the order of players in this round, which is Kryssie, Danielle, Scott, Neeley, Justin, and Alex. Kryssie chooses to go against Alex, and it took just a minute or so for Alex to win. Danielle then challenged Scott, and it took a bit longer but Danielle wins this round.
Since Scott was taken out, it's Neeley's turn to challenge, and she picks Alex. They both fly through it, but Alex again wins. Justin challenges Danielle (somewhat surprisingly), and he wins! This doesn't look good for the showmance. She hides behind the rest of the cast and begins to cry as Shane attempts to comfort her. "Why wouldn't he fucking throw it to me? That's bullshit."
Round two commences with Alex picking Justin. Wait, aren't they the two POV winners? There's some confusion, and then it's announced that they indeed both won the POV.
As they came back in the house, a tearful Danielle attempted to head to the diary room, but instead buried herself under the covers as the "plastics" celebrated in the kitchen. She knows that Justin picking her to compete against indicates he's not going to use it on her. In fact, he's obviously now working with Scott. "He's fucking retarded." Shane says he just doesn't understand the game, and he expects to be backdoored.

The Initial Nominees!!!
Part one of Scott's plan to evict either Shane or Danielle is now complete. The second safety ceremony just happened, the four saved were Morgan, Shane, Danielle, and Shelby.
The plan to evict included saving them? Yes, thanks to the double veto situation, the two targets were saved with these initial nominees. Instead, Neeley and Kryssie were nominated as pawns.
After practicing his speeches for most of the day, Scott told Neeley he has respect for her, and he wished her luck in the POV competition. For Kryssie, he said they were the two "mental giants" in the game, but they have "different approaches". Because she has issues with "certain group situations" he was nominating her.
Nobody is surprised by what just happened, but that probably won't stop Kryssie from whining all night long about it. (Almost immediately she blamed the nomination on yesterday's dirty
underwear incident.) Her constant babbling, along with Danielle bitching about slop and the other girls, will completely be in line with this entire season of complaining and shit-talking.
What are your thoughts on this? Who are you picking to be America's nominee? We're going with Danielle. We'll have plenty to say about all of this on tomorrow night's Big Brother Gossip Show!!!

Updates on ACP, Have-Nots, and the First Safety Meeting
It's been a couple of days since the last update, so I thought I'd explain a few of the things that has happened since Scott won HOH:
1. Immediately after the win, Scott informed the "plastics" that they were safe. He's also not interested in evicting Kryssie as that would be a waste of his HOH. He really is targeting Shane and Danielle, but not just because Alex failed to do so last week. He's angry at Shane for dumping the all-male alliance (Cornbread, Monte, Shane, and Scott) the moment he hooked up with Danielle, and last weekend's attempt to blame Scott for the Monte/Justin fight didn't help her cause.
2. Justin has made a couple of surprising friends. Remember when Monte went after Justin for dropping his drawers in the bathroom? It must not have offended Morgan as much as he thought, as they've become a bit friendly the last few days. Justin also has a secret alliance with Scott, and the two meet up at least once a day for a quick chat.
3. It hasn't been a good week for Danielle. Well, Wednesday night was good as her and Shane played hide the pickle in the middle of the night. It must not have been THAT good, though, as she replied that she wasn't sure when Shane asked if she came. Ooops. She has also angered most of her late night jamboree pals for various reasons, including the fact that she's only interested in talking about herself. Thursday night she also had a shocking story about how her dog died.
4. America's Care Package was awarded to Scott. It's a convoluted prize that allows him to pick what type of veto they'll be playing for this week. He has to choose from a diamond veto (winner gets to pick not only who they use it on but who goes up in their place), double veto (two vetoes in play), or "boomerang" veto (winner can remove two people). At the moment, he's utilizing the double veto, and it's forced him to rethink his nominations. The current plan is for Kryssie and Neeley to be "pawns", and anybody brought down will be replaced by Shane or Danielle (or, hopefully, both).
5. Today saw the reveal of this week's Have-Nots. Even before the announcement, Danielle was whining that it better not be her. Well, it was, along with Shelby and Alex. Danielle immediately made plans with Shane to still sleep together. "Thanks America", she sarcastically babbled. Shelby made some wisecracks on how she's not going to make Danielle any slop, but Alex is taking it with good humor as it's another feather in her superfan hat. Justin also was entertaining during this segment. He had started cooking chicken right before the meeting was called, and he was really nervous he'd be a have-not. He kept his fingers crossed as Scott read the announcement, and immediately jumped around when his name was not read off. "I'm gonna eat the fuck out of this chicken!"
6. Over the course of the last few days, there's been a little game between the Plastics and Misfits. Jason started it by hiding Shelby's Krackel bars, and today the girls did the same with the soda. It was all fun and games until somebody touched Kryssie's dirty underwear. She spent a good half hour crying and bitching about it. Of course, she giggled when Jason was rubbing his armpits on the girls' pillows.
7. The first safety picks were made by Scott. Due to losing a game against Morgan a half hour earlier, Justin had to wear her bikini top during the ceremony. Justin was the first named, followed by Alex, Whitney, and Jason. Shane knows he's the target, but he's not as smart as he thinks he is by saying that. No, Shane, you won't be initially going up. And no, Kryssie, you're not going to get backdoored. It's the other way around.
Tomorrow night sees the rest of Scott's safeties (probably Morgan, Shelby, Shane, Danielle), which obviously leads us to his initial nominee picks of Neeley and Kryssie. We'll be talking about all of this and more on Monday night's Big Brother Gossip Show. You better listen!!!

This Scott Publicly Wished The Other Scott Wasn't HOH. You'll Never Guess What Happened Next
A little less than 20 minutes after Monte's eviction, everybody was called outside for the HOH competition. Tonight's comp is called "BB Barcode". There's a giant optical illusion barcode in the backyard. Each round is 15 minutes long. They have a measuring tool, and they have to guess which numbered piece of the barcode is the longest.
After hearing the rules, all I could think of is "what the hell?" It really doesn't make a lot of sense. I would imagine that the difference between some of them are in centimeters. They all ran on to the playing field just before the buzzer sounded. Then there was silence as they all began pacing up and down the...um, let's call it a tarp.
After a few minutes, people began guessing. Shelby was wrong with 195, and Jason was right behind her with 147. Danielle and Kryssie began chatting about how two of the segments had only one chain-length difference, and their conversation carried on to Neeley and Shane. Her suggestion was to use the chain measuring device instead of pacing. At one point, they asked production if they could use the chain of somebody who was out of the round. The answer was no, but Shane and Danielle then began working together.
Scott was then out with a guess of 88. Suddenly Danielle then raced over and rang in with 22, which was also wrong. Shane was also incorrect with 171. Neeley is now out of the running with 187. The round then ended with no guess from Justin or Kryssie.
Since nobody was correct, they all got to continue on with round two. Shane and Danielle were now completely working together, as was Morgan and Whitney. Jason quickly chimed in with 54 (wrong), and Danielle with 147 (also wrong). Shane's attempt rang in at 197 (incorrect). 21 is also not correct, as Morgan discovered. Justin finally made an attempt, and 11 was not what Big Brother was looking for. Whitney's 123 thankfully disqualifies her, as does Shelby's 101. Neeley's 151 is also not right. Scott chooses 73, and Kryssie ends this round with 174.
Justin kicks off round three with 158 (nope). Neeley repeats 171, and if it didn't work the first time it certainly doesn't now! Funny thing is that right after the camera began focusing on the 72 board, Scott chimed in with that guess and won HOH!!! (Ugh)
Well that didn't go as I hoped, but oh well. Are you happy? Who will Scott nominate? Let's have a chat.

The Second Eviction Victim Is...
Give me a second. I have some other stuff to chat about before we get to the eviction. Let's start with the online craziness of the last couple of days. Let's not get twisted here. I abhorred Monte. He's a complete moron. But I advocated for evicting Danielle, and my main reason for that is the fact that I detest showmances. Look through my entire history of covering this show, and you'll see that I'm completely consistent with that fact, especially when said couples become so intertwined that they're never seen without the other. I would have actually preferred that Shane was the one out the door, but he screwed up that plan by winning POV.
Again, Monte is a dummy. He's ignorant. He's cocky. He's socially inept. Seeing him dropped a peg or two almost every day gave me joy in this early season. But saving him (and Kryssie, by the way) was certainly not a decision based on race. Separate the couple today, and the southern squirrel murderer could be the next victim.
As with everything these days, on social media this decision was completely misinterpreted. While it led to some interesting conversations with a few people, way too many just like to point fingers and scream when somebody has a differing opinion. I'd rather chat. Maybe my mind will change. Maybe they'll understand where I'm coming from.
One more point before we get to the eviction. I love the recap episodes. But, and this is a big but, they could have cut out some of the POV competition. We didn't need to see each and other swing of the club. It caused tonight's eviction to be delayed by almost twenty minutes.
Then when it finally became eviction time, they went back to putting the same thing on all four cams. Last week was brilliant. The diary room voting was on cam three, and the other three were on various angles in the living room. Not this week.
Anyway, as soon as the recap episode ended, Alex began reading off the cue cards. Danielle's short speech is that she considers her time on Big Brother to be a "blessing", while Monte just rambles a bit thanking everybody. Kryssie, however, uses the opportunity to out Alex for the reneged deal they made to keep her off the block.
Voting then began, and it was as expected. Producers set it up, just like on the CBS version, for the back and forth between sides of the house. When everybody was done voting, it was a tie.
Alex then went to the diary room to get the results, and America obviously gave their vote to Monte as he was evicted 5-4. He smiled, calmly hugged everybody, and was out the door.
Everybody then ran to their corners of the house to talk about what just happened, and Shane informed quite a few people of the deal Scott tried to make with him to save Monte. (This semi-convoluted plan involved Scott telling everybody he was voting against Kryssie.) Ha, this could be an interesting week.
The HOH competition is coming soon. Who do you want to see win? My vote is for Justin!!!

Big Brother Gossip #702: Save the Squirrels
This episode was not supposed to last three hours. We were planning for a couple of hours, maybe a few more minutes, but we were dead set against turning it into another marathon broadcast.
You know what? Sometimes it just can't be helped, especially with a cast that gives us so much material. Over the last week, there were incidents of bruised egos, racism, murdered squirrels, homphobia, camera whoring, and a serious case of Man Boobs.
We covered this all, and then some. There's even a gospel tune from Neeley that hopefully will help "Save the Big Brother house". There's plenty of impassioned rants from Colette, which is always the perfect sign that this is a keeper of a broadcast.
Most importantly, we all give a lesson thinking of the big picture. We perfectly analyze why certain people need to stick around for a few more weeks even if they are indeed the worst people in the world. Why a specific woman should be this week's target instead of a moron who has offended everybody in and out of the house. Hopefully, you have all learned that you shoudl take Colette's voting tips to heart. She is thinking of the overall good of the feeds - chaos, controversy, and clusterfucks!
As always, you can listen to this show from the usual online sources, including:

POV Results
Although Alex had chosen Justin to host today's POV, a couple of hours earlier we were informed that Jeff Schroeder would be the special guest host. Ugh. Sure enough, ol' Man Boobs rang the doorbell approximately a half hour before the competition.
After chatting with everybody and touring the house, they finally made it outside to play. As expected, it was a golf competition. There were four holes, worth 5, 10, 15, and 30 points. There was also a scoreboard with various "prizes". 60 points and you can exchange your "tickets" for POV, 40 points made you ineligible for the next POV, 35 is a "water hazard" where they have to pull golf balls out of the pool for a week, 30 is a "19th hole" where they won't see straight in the next HOH, 25 is a "sand trap" where they must spend the next 24 hours, and 20 is a "caddy costume" that they must wear and drag golf clubs for the next week.
The game began with Danielle taking an early lead by aiming for the ten point hole. Most others were after the 30, and most were missing by a mile. Danielle was the first to get to 30 points, and was followed by Shane and Alex. Shelby, Monte, and Scott were godawful.
Shelby finally got two ten-point holes, and traded her tickets in for the caddy costume. After numerous attempts that came close to falling in, Shane finally nailed the 30 pointer that he needed to win the POV.
From there, the game had to continue to claim the rest of the punishments. Danielle cashes in to take the water hazard, Alex takes the 19th hole, and after a couple of holes Scott took the sand trap. This leaves Monte with the "missed cut" which causes him to not play in the next POV (if he lasts that long).
So that's it. Who will Alex put up to replace Shane? Will Shane use the POV on his girl? Who do you want to see go home?
Edit: I neglected to mention that earlier today it was announced that "America" had chosen Monte to be the third nominee.
