With the eviction of Chuck on Friday night, the feeds went off an hour or so after the live show aired and didn't come back for several hours. When they did we had a new HoH and Omarosa had been taken to the hospital.
The feeds came back about 3:04am Big Brother time - thats 6:04am ET. We saw Ross in the HoH bed with Marissa and quickly learned he had won the HoH competition. It was the dizzy bowling competition where the HGs dress up like ballerina's, spin, and roll bowling balls.
According to Marissa, Omarosa picked her to compete against and Marissa ended up eliminating her, something Marissa was very proud of. Ross eliminated Metta. The rest of the eliminations we don't know about yet as the HGs quickly went to sleep once the live feeds returned.
The details on Omarosa's injury are very slim. From the way Ross and Marissa talked about it, it didn't seem to be too serious, however she hadn't returned to the house when the HGs got up in the morning.
Ross plans to nominate Omarosa and Keisha - likely sometime today. He said to Marissa that he is going to explain that anyone else would nominate both of them as well and he wants to give them a chance to play for the POV and hopes they would do the same for him.
Julie Chen said on Friday's show that the POV would 'play out live' on Monday, I assume she means the POV ceremony will be live. The POV competition is likely to be late Saturday or on Sunday and shown on Monday's show.

What a weird night! If there ever was a Big Brother eviction night that was both entertaining AND troubling it was last night's double eviction. In some ways it was a complete shit show, but it was also one of the most interesting nights of game play I've seen in quite some time.
The night begins with an egregious error by the production team. In the late afternoon, the house was summoned to watch some videos to prepare for the night's HOH competition. At the end of it, a piece of diary room footage was accidentally aired to the entire house. The clip that aired was Shelby talking about taking her LSAT. Her reaction was pure fury, and she stormed off to the diary room. Remember, she has been keeping her law school history a secret from everybody (except the sisters she revealed it to yesterday). She was also pissed because her time spent in the diary room didn't allow her to assist Morgan and Alex study.
Due to this incident, during the week recap episode the house got another chance to watch the vids, which I believed were altered a bit. The eviction then happened, and Alex was out as expected.
Shortly after, the doorbell rang and the Redheaded Monster arrived to host the next HOH. Ugh, why do I have to endure Rachel again? This comp was about the vids they had just viewed, which were all about the "Big Brother Shopping Network". Justin missed one question, but everybody else correctly picked True or False on each question. The tiebreaker then was the total cost of ALL of the items, and we had our second controversy of the night. When Rachel asked for answers, Danielle continued to figure out her answer. It was another 20 seconds or so before she locked in her answer, and of course she won. Really, though, we've seen others over the years try to get as much time as possible so I had no issue with it. If Danielle had been disqualified, Morgan would not have won so it's really a moot point.
The phone lines were then opened to vote for the next care package. As this went on, the divide in the house was predictable. Morgan and Shelby cried and cried, while the Misfits babbled. Well, Danielle babbled, and the rest listened and giggled.
It was approximately 90 minutes later when the shrieking America's Care Package voice came on, and everybody ran outside. This is where it was once again a bit confusing, and if you're on a certain side it was a rigged event. The Care Package we were voting on was the actual POV, and it was awarded to Morgan. However, not only did this POV make her safe from nomination, but also allowed her to use it to save a person.
That's not exactly what the public was voting on, and the main issue was the timing. All season, the care packages have been awarded before nominations, while the POV obviously happens AFTER nomination. These two acts being combined raises many issues. It's my belief that the care package should have been dropped before nominations as usual, but it should have not been opened until afterwards. They could have announced who won it, and then the strategy between all players could have included the theories as to the contents of the care package.
Oh well. If you're into drama and strategy, this did create some fun. Before it dropped, the girls knew that one of them was going home. Shelby's tears were more about the fact that she'd be alone with all of these people she hated. But Morgan winning saved both of them, and their tears turned into celebrations.
After a bit of time where the other group felt sorry for themselves (especially a tearful Whitney), Danielle went to talk to Morgan and Shelby. Well, she mainly talked. Knowing she was going to have to evict one of her team, Danielle's only demand was that Jason be kept safe. Eventually they decided that Whitney and Justin would be the nominees. When Jason was brought in, Shelby even joked "I don't trust you but I'll work with you."
In tears, Danielle then nominated Whitney and Justin. We had another few minutes of strategy, but none of it involved either nominee. In fact, Justin spent that other time trying to cheer up Whitney, who was convinced she was going home. Meanwhile, Jason and Danielle were sort of arguing with Morgan and Shelby over who should be evicted. The girls wanted Justin out, while Danielle/Jason were worried that Whitney may slide back to the girl's side if she was saved. Ultimately, Danielle said she'd decide at the moment she had to break the tie.
The vote then happened, and Danielle broke the predicted tie by...evicting Whitney!!! Hallelujah!!! It's such a fabulous move!!! Whit the Twit is gone!!!
At this point, I went to bed. This turned out to be the best move given what happened over the next six or so hours. The HOH comp actually started not long after Whitney's departure. It was a maze-ish setup where each contestant had to position mirrors to reflect a laser beam to hit a target. Jason was first, and finished at 8:14. Morgan was next and her time was 11:27. Kryssie also struggled, but finished at 11:57.
This is when things get interesting. It was now Shelby's turn, and at first it seems that she has not managed to beat Jason's time. For three hours, we had no idea what was going on. Poor Kryssie (and this is the only time I'll ever write those two words together) was stuck in the storage room, while the others were in rooms with beds.
Here's a video of what happened during Shelby's run:
After all of this waiting, Justin finally started the competition at 3:40 am. In a move that shocked nobody, Justin timed out at 20 minutes. He is just the worst at competition!!! Or is he even trying? That's what everybody wants to know.
So it seemed like Jason had won HOH. But then came the official announcement. Shelby had a mirror malfunction (broke), and production had determined the breakage happened at 7:23. Because of this issue, the two would be having a face-off tonight (Thursday) to determine the HOH.
This is when the online world went nuts. Rigging, conspiracies, and incompetence are just a few of the words thrown around ever since this happened. Many feel that production is trying to rig this for Shelby, and it also wasn't fair to Justin to have to wait so long.
Everybody needs to just settle down. Let's take a look at this from the perspective of a person who doesn't care who wins or loses this game. There's the obvious question that I ask anytime somebody believes there is interference from production. Why would they want Shelby to win? Why would they not want Danielle to win? Or Justin?
Here's what I think happened. An unforeseen incident happened at almost one in the morning. A solution must be immediately determined that is fair to everyone, but nothing was going to please everybody. There's also a piece of equipment that must be replaced, which may not be easy to do in the middle of the night. Even after replacing the mirror, there has to be some testing to ensure that the laser would properly work with this new mirror. Hell, the person in charge of the setup may have even gone home for the night. We don't know.
I'm pleading with my friends to take emotion out of last night's incidents. This is not Trump versus Clinton. It's a handful of twenty-somethings playing a TV game show, and overall this has been a fabulous season. Why does it matter who wins?
The day started with the announcement of America's nominee. Yes, it was Danielle. And yes, there was some good fun at this meeting, which also included the POV draw. Justin and Alex joined Scott, Neeley, Kryssie, and Danielle.
The fireworks began almost immediately as Neeley noticed the girls celebrating in the bathroom. How dare they? She was fuming as she related the story in the bedroom. "I'm about to rip her ass off and hand it to her", she fumed. "Took everything and the angels and Jesus Christ to stop me from jumping on the back of her neck. She's being way too ignorant, and real reckless right now."
Jason attempted to clarify what happened, so she carried on. Kryssie and her saw them celebrating as they were warming up their tea in the microwave. Those "bitches just ran to the bathroom, and started shimmying and all this bullshit." At some point, the word heifers was thrown in there. Good stuff.
It took almost an hour, but the expected whine session from Danielle also finally kicked off. "I don't understand why America wants to keep people like that in this game", she said. "After Neeley came in here, it took everything in her not to go punch Shelby in the face. I don't understand why I'm constantly being targeted, and now America made me a have-not and nominated me in the same week. My whole life I have been bullied and made fun of by girls like that. I have a thick skin and can take the passive aggressive thing from the girls but my biggest fear coming into the house was America not liking me."
When they all headed outside, there was a curtained off area with buzzers facing it. One cam showed the view behind the curtain which was puzzle pieces and platforms to place them. On a table were the three different types of vetoes, and a lengthy card of instructions for Jason to read. "It has paragraphs on it", he said just before the feeds went to fish. (This is done for production to provide them some information.)
It's a knock-out type puzzle comp. One person challenges another, and the first to complete their puzzle moves on to the next round. If the person who buzzes in is wrong, they are eliminated and their competitor moves on. Game pieces are also reset between rounds.
Scott then announces he's choosing the double veto. Jason then pulls the order of players in this round, which is Kryssie, Danielle, Scott, Neeley, Justin, and Alex. Kryssie chooses to go against Alex, and it took just a minute or so for Alex to win. Danielle then challenged Scott, and it took a bit longer but Danielle wins this round.
Since Scott was taken out, it's Neeley's turn to challenge, and she picks Alex. They both fly through it, but Alex again wins. Justin challenges Danielle (somewhat surprisingly), and he wins! This doesn't look good for the showmance. She hides behind the rest of the cast and begins to cry as Shane attempts to comfort her. "Why wouldn't he fucking throw it to me? That's bullshit."
Round two commences with Alex picking Justin. Wait, aren't they the two POV winners? There's some confusion, and then it's announced that they indeed both won the POV.
As they came back in the house, a tearful Danielle attempted to head to the diary room, but instead buried herself under the covers as the "plastics" celebrated in the kitchen. She knows that Justin picking her to compete against indicates he's not going to use it on her. In fact, he's obviously now working with Scott. "He's fucking retarded." Shane says he just doesn't understand the game, and he expects to be backdoored.
In a week of firsts, we now saw how a POV meeting works. Actually, it's not that different than what has been shown on TV in the past. Jason was called to the diary room for instructions, and after he came out he called everybody in the house.
Jason then instructed everybody how to gather in the living room, which lit a light bulb in my head. I figured out why there had to be a returnee this season. With EVERYTHING happening on the feeds, and little opportunity for production to intervene, they needed somebody to help guide them through these first couple of weeks. Somebody that has been through all of the various ceremonies. Thankfully, we voted in Jason. Can you imagine Jozea leading these meetings?
Before making his "decision", Jason allowed the other two nominees to give reasons why they should be saved. Cornbread addressed the house instead of Jason, though, and said, "I'm a well-rounded player. I'm not strong in all the categories but I'm right up there with the best of them. I'm just here to make this fun and enjoy my time. I love every one of y'all."
Danielle then spoke. "I'm not expecting you to use the veto on me cause I'm expecting you to take yourself off the block." Which, of course, is exactly what he did.
Monte then stood and talked bullshit. "Y'all know this isn't easy for me. Even right now in these moments I'm still torn." He then nominates Kryssie, and claims, "I've tried to save you. I didn't want you to go home. Maybe the house will vote in your favor."
Why is this bullshit? Well, keep in mind that until the last minute, Kryssie was his choice to be up next to Jason. After Jason won POV, Kryssie became the obviously replacement, even after people like Danielle tried to talk him into putting up Shelby instead.
Justin doesn't know how this works, however. When Jason adjourned the meeting, he thought it was now time to vote. Silly man. Danielle immediately informed Kryssie that she tried to get Monte to put up Shelby. She's pissed and said, "if I'm get evicted first, I'm going out with guns blazing...my five seconds will be memorable." Although we heard that quite often last season with little followup (except Michelle), I have a feeling Kryssie may buck that trend.
One more note - stupid Monte is acting like it's an affront to his HOH status that Jason won POV. Taking himself down is apparently "bucking the system". No, douche lord, it's playing the game.
As stated in the previous post, those playing in the POV include the three nominees (Jason, Danielle, and Cornbread), plus HOH Monte, Alex and Whitney. The feeds went down for a few minutes (10 at most, maybe), before Shane read the instruction. It's a comp called "POV Vault". There's a vault in the backyard that holds the veto, and they have to find the four-digit code to unlock it. Inside the house are clues to the code. If nobody figures it out within three hours, a new code will be entered.
At the sound of a buzzer, they all ran into the house to search for the clue. Danielle was the first to attempt a code and it was incorrect. Cornbread was next, followed by another try by Danielle. They all continued to punch in numbers.
It's interesting that everybody is helping each other by comparing guesses, including Alex and Whitney, with the exception of Jason and Danielle. Obviously, nobody wants either of them to win.
Based on camera shots, the clues appear to involve the table setting, the goldfish, the dishes on the table, and the word veto spelled out on the fridge,
Frustrations grew as time went on, but finally a half hour into the game Jason won!!!! (BTW the winning number was 2449.) As Big Brother said, "the following new items were in the house - 2 dining room chairs, 4 magnet letters, 4 sunflowers, 9 goldfish = 2449!"
To say the internet is happy is an understatement. Jason is truly an online fan favorite (although I'm so-so on his actual game play) so there was a huge online sigh of relief. Jason claims that all credit must go to Da'Vonne because "I wore your socks! I didn't wear them in the comp but I put them on just before!" Who will go up in his place? The odds are that it will be Kryssie, and if that's the case she'll undoubtedly go home.
Again, this was wonderful to watch play out live on the feeds!! What did you think?
The game is starting to get a bit clearer now. Last night, Monte's nominations became official. He was originally going to put up Jason and Kryssie, but yesterday his view of Kryssie softened a bit so the second nominee turned out to be Danielle.
At this point the voting was opened for America's selection. While the Big Brother Gossip Show officially chose Whitney as our desired candidate, it became pretty clear we were going to lose out this week. And we did, as the online viewers selected Cornbread as the third choice. He's playing up that it doesn't bother him, but he's not too good at hiding his emotion
This was announced right before the POV players were chosen for later today. Alex and Whitney are the other two players.
Who do you want to see win? Fan favorite Jason? Third nominee Cornbread? Douchenozzle Monte? We'll find out in just a few hours!
BTW, it was pretty fun to be able to watch the ceremonies live and with no feed interruptions. Monte was sent to the diary room a couple of times to get instructions, and then everything happened in front of the cameras. I love this season!!!
Another quick update on the major event of the day.
The POV competition was held and Paul won it. Since he was nominated by the Mystery Comp winner (now it looks like that was actually Frank), it appears Frank will be the one to do the re-nom. This is much like the MVP from Big Brother 15.
So we think as of now Paul will use the POV to save himself and Frank will put up Bridgette in his place (but many don't know Frank is the one with the control). Expect that to happen on Sunday.
In the meantime there is much plotting and we learn more and more how un-knowledgeable about Big Brother most of the house guests are - including James, Davonne and Frank who couldn't remember that it was Big Brother 3 HG Marcellas that didn't save himself with the POV and was voted out.
Thats it for now - yes this is a short one. Remember we have out second Podcast of the season at 10pm Saturday night. Tune in live via the link at Big Brother Podcast.com - or catch it later at our Patreon site.
After a looooong feeds black out due to the taped 'live' eviction show aired tonight (See Scott's recap if you haven't already watched the show) we were all waiting patiently (or perhaps not so patiently, lol) for them to return so that we could find out who Steve had nominated and who had won POV.
The feeds came back to Vanessa, Liz and Steve in the kitchen. Vanessa was doing dishes, Liz was eating and Steve was scampering about. There was no initial sign of JMac. We watched, and we waited and we watched and we waited...I know, I know, just tell you already right?? ;)
Well Vanessa went to the DR (on her own, she wasn't called) for a moment and when she returned she was asking how the POV speech goes down. Within a few moments we were able to surmise that Steve, as HOH, had nominated Vanessa and JMac. Vanessa has won POV though, so that means that she is in full control of who will go home during tomorrow's live eviction.
There are only the four left in the house, so that means things are quite a bit quieter and nowhere near as much action will be going on. There was a rousing game of Sling Band, to which I paid very little attention to and couldn't tell you who won.
After Sling Band, there was a bit of a game related conversation between Vanessa and Steve in the bathroom. It was half a strategizing/game related talk, and half a pep talk. Steve admitted he's been letting the game get to him lately and that he's losing perspective even with reminding himself that this is just a 'tv show in a parking lot'. Vanessa does what Vanessa does and tries to build him up a bit; reminds him that life will be grand outside of the house etc, etc. She says she thinks that everyone's lives are going to be better after the show.
They go on to discuss what Vanessa is going to do with the POV. She claims to not be 100% sure yet, but to be quite honest, in my opinion, I think she's going to get rid of Jmac. If you follow me on twitter, I went on a little tangent pretending to be Vanessa and rambled on over what I think her brain will cycle through what her options are and in the end, I think she finds her odds are better with John gone almost every time. They discuss that their odds of winning the game in F2 are stronger with Jmac (since he's already been evicted) but Vanessa claims their odds of getting to F2 are better with Liz. Although she does go back and forth a bit, it seems to me Vanessa is still completely leaning towards evicting John.
Throughout this whole conversation, John is of course, in bed. Some of it he's awake, sitting up looking adorkably pensive but not much action coming from him otherwise as he's soon lying prone in bed with his bandana over his eyes.
After I took a break to make and eat a delicious grilled cheese sandwich, I returned to Liz and Steve in the bathroom having a discussion. Apparently Liz hasn't really talked to Vanessa either, she's just going to let her do her thing. They start discussing mundane things. Liz apparently lost her virginity at 17. Steve says it's been 22 1/2 years for him. They discuss his little crush on Julia a bit. She tells him to get some muscles, lol.
Steve goes upstairs to have a shower, Liz goes to bed. I'm not really clear where Vanessa was at this point, DR maybe. Johnny Mac gets out of bed and goes into the kitchen where he plays with the Lincoln logs set the house guests received while the feeds were down. He builds a giant tower. Steve comes down from the HOH room after his shower and they game talk for literally around 20 seconds. John says if he gets evicted it's not that bad. Steve asks John if he's talked to Vanessa and John says nope. Steve tells John he can't push too hard for him and John tells him not to, that it's between him and Vanessa now. Vanessa comes out of what I'm assuming is DR; John decides to go to bed.
Vanessa follows him into the comic room. John tells Vanessa she did good work out there; Vanessa says POV was close today and John says the last round wasn't close at all, that she did a good job. He tells her he's happy she won and she says it's going to be a big day tomorrow.
Steve goes to the hammock room to muse out loud and here we find out an interesting little tidbit of information: Steve claims he threw POV today and he's BIG TIME regretting it. He rants a bit in there, then heads up to HOH where he has an almost full blown melt down. He's hugging his teddy bear, crying, almost sobbing at points. He apologizes to his mother for letting her down, calls himself stupid. "I could have won and I didn't. I could have taken Vanessa out. That could've been my big move and I chickened out. I could beat John at the end but I can't beat her. I'm sorry mommy, I'm sorry." He wants a hug, someone to talk to, a friend, he wants his mom. He says he made a $500k mistake; he should have won POV and should have used it on Johnny. Johnny would've taken Vanessa out and Steve would've had the Scamper Squad votes. It was a little painful to watch, but not b/c I felt any real sympathy...it's just really awkward watching a grown man sob while clutching a teddy bear...and honestly, if what Steve is claiming is true the...yikes, he's right, that may have been a $500k mistake.
He eventually goes downstairs and wakes up Liz. She tries to comfort him a bit; tells him it's cute he's so sensitive and that Austin would not be behaving like this at all. Vanessa also gets out of bed to use the washroom and tells Steve to go to bed. He decides to sleep in the purple room in Meg's old bed so that he won't be alone.
So that's the current state of affairs as I end this update. One other super minor thing of note...Steve mentioned that he's now met 6 former house guests and included Caleb from BB16 amongst the list, so there is some thought Caleb hosted today's POV competition.
So that's that for tonight. Tomorrow night we'll know who Vanessa chose to evict and the episode should end with the first part of the HOH competition underway. My best guess is that the final three will be Vanessa, Steve and Liz. At this point although I think Vanessa has worked the hardest for the win, I'd love to see either Steve or Liz win the final HOH and cut Vanessa...but I truly don't see that happening. There is no clear cut path for any of these remaining house guests to take and so I, for one, am very interested in finding out how the last part of the game will play out...and it's been quite a few seasons since I've said that! ;) So, until tomorrow...or maybe Thursday...I probably won't do another update until we know who the winners of the first two parts of the HOH are and any little tidbits of game play that may occur in between.
Follow me on Twitter @Shienara33 and let me know what you think of my attempts to mimic Vanessa's brain patterns! haha
Howdy all, thought it best to let you all know whats up if you don't happen to listen to our weekly podcast.... wait, why don't you listen to our weekly podcast? If you did there will be barely anything in this post you don't already know so get on listening to our weekly podcast!!!
Still here eh? OK, fine. Here are the basics on what's gone on since nominations.
As you should know, Vanessa nominated Steve and John with John seeming to be the person she wanted to go (I explained the logic of this in our weekly podcast - John is a wild card and I think Vanessa feels he is the hardest to read of the remaining HGs).
Then on Saturday 'ole Johnny Mac WON the POV competition which throws a huge spanner in the works (Thats British lingo ya know, I've been catching up on Celebrity Big Brother over the weekend!).
Vanessa mulled it over using about 5 bags of skittles and came up with the replacement nomination of Austin - that POV meeting took place today so now Austin is up against Steve.
If I had to pick I'd say Steve is the one that will go to the Jury on Monday. Liz will want to save Austin and John won't be mad at Vanessa for voting out Steve if she happened to have to via tie-breaker and in theory John would want to work with Vanessa over Austin/Liz. (Follow up - after I posted this John and Vanessa had a long talk where she suggested he make it a tie vote and she would make the big move and get out Austin which is exactly what happened).
The actual eviction will take place on Monday - it will be taped and shown on Tuesday. CBS is already advertising via a scroll on the live feeds page that the live feeds will be down from 9am BBT on Monday until 9pm BBT on Tuesday (after the West Coast airing of the fake 'live' eviction show).
There has already been a ton of complaining online about this - it happens every year. It will be ok...... honest. If you are incensed - I'd suggest canceling the feeds now and saving yourself a dollar or two - but frankly the feeds have been the best in years with all the game play we have been able to see - Mondays to Thursdays haven't been this consistently interesting ever.
Scott has already laid out the remaining TV schedule so check out his post here.
One last thing - be sure to check out Scott's recap of Sunday's TV show - we didn't watch it but I am pretty sure he nailed what was shown.
So I wasn't going to do and update tonight. I wasn't going to give you reason either. But I know you, you guys will demand a reason. And I know whatever reason I gave you wouldn't be good enough, so I was just going to walk away. But, I didn't want who ever of you actually reads these updates to go pout in your room so I figured that I'll just suck it up and give you a reason.
Hmm...so that opening isn't reading as clever as I'd hoped, especially if you don't have the feeds, haha, but it's written and it's there and so, at the end of the day, it shall remain. ;)
Anyways, ok...so POV ceremony was held today...and...drum roll please...dun dun dun...Becky kept true to her plan and nominated Vanessa in Steve's place. (Steve won veto and obviously removed himself from the block) I was at work when this took place and so just read the first fallout on twitter. Paraphrasing what I read, Vanessa had a bit of a meltdown with Austin in terms of wondering if he knew and questioning why he wouldn't tell her if he did. She did the same with Steve at some point as well. She then went and had a conversation with Becky in the back yard where she attempted to wrangle a reason from Becky for her nomination. Becky essentially told her that she didn't trust her, that it pissed her off that Vanessa 'forced' her to give her word in the 8 person meeting etc etc. Vanessa kept going and Becky ended up just getting up and walking away. (don't yell at me if this isn't 100% accurate, I already told you I didn't watch it myself...yet. I do plan on flashing back at some point to catch it.)
Liz also got Shelli all fired up about a sweater of Clay's that James had been wearing today. Once he had taken it off, Shelli took it from the Have Not room and Liz hid it for her.
I started watching tonight just as Austin was leading a group workout session in the back yard. There was some attempts at yoga like moves, Jackie made a comment about 'popping the puss' and Austin diagnosed Jackie as having uneven obliques. Also, apparently Jackie was thrown from a horse once and broke her hip. When it was over, the twins jumped up and did a pseudo commercial/cheer about Austin workouts. It wasn't that riveting. I was actually about to go flashback to the aforementioned conversation with Becky and Vanessa when...The cams switched to the comic room, where Julia and Steve were with Vanessa.
She broke down; she told them she thinks it's messed up that people left her alone for hours without checking on her. Julia tells her it's because they all thought she was sleeping, it wasn't on purpose. She accused Steve of knowing she was going up and that it's messed up he didn't tell her. He denied 'knowing' but admitted 'he just had a feeling, he kind of knew, because it just didn't make sense to him that Becky would put up JohnnyMac.' (He did know, JohnnyMac told him before POV that Vanessa was the intended target). She tells him to just stop, she knows. "You knew, don't compromise your integrity any further!" Vanessa went on to cry about her conversation with Becky, claiming Becky was venomous, yelled at her and disrespected her. She's hard core crying and yells out "Not even one person gave me a fucking hug! [after POV ceremony]. Like, what the fuck!" Steve and Julia leave the bedroom and Vanessa burrows under the blankets and says "I hate these people. Fake motherfuckers!".
There's a short conversation between Austin and Liz in the bathroom where Austin comments that Vanessa has lost it. "She's yelling at me that people are treating her like Audrey when she's not Audrey. But she's under the blankets with the bible, what, you want an omelette too?!" [referencing when James made Audrey an omelette during her meltdown.]
John goes into the comic room and offers Vanessa a little bit of comfort. He asks her if he can give her a hug. He reminds her that they all signed up for this, that if 17 people could stay in the house all summer that would be awesome, but it's a game and this is how it's played. He leaves. Eventually she came out, silently cooked food went back to bedroom to eat alone.
In the meantime, the OTHER nominee is out in the back yard, talking and socializing with the other house guests. I totally understand that Shelli knows she's not the target and feels rather safe, but this is what people need to do when they're on the block. I do love the drama of the Audreys and Vanessas though so I'm not complaining. ;)
James eventually notices that the sweater is gone. He pretty much knows that Shelli took it and it's pissed him off a bit. He discusses it with Meg, who basically tells him it's not a big deal and to let it go. James is still irritated though "I woulda just given it to her if she'd asked!" and notes that it means she's still 'salty' with him.
Steve and Shelli eventually return to Vanessa in the comic room. They have a chat and are very determinedly caring and trying to lift her spirits. Vanessa still wants a valid reason though, she's asking them if Becky is saying anything more to them. She would rather Becky just tell her that it's a game move because she can understand that, she knows it's smart to get her out because she's a strong player but Becky isn't saying it's a game move so none of it makes sense to Vanessa. There's an interesting moment where Vanessa asks Shelli if she knew she was the target; Shelli initially denies even talking to Becky, that she knew nothing. Vanessa kindly reminds her that Becky called her up to HOH and they had a private conversation; Shelli backtracks and says "Oh yeah, I'd forgotten about that! She just told me that I wasn't the target." Vanessa then asks Steve the same thing and Steve tells her that Becky told him she had a primary target and a secondary target and that he was neither, and that's all he knew.
The Austwins are in the kitchen, cooking and eating. Again. Still. Whatever...anyways, Julia and/or Liz suggest going to see Vanessa with some cookies and Austin questions why should they. He doesn't want to go and be yelled at and be told what to do. Eventually they do go join Vanessa though, who is still in the comic room with Steve and Shelli. Vanessa pulled out the bible at this point and they all started talking about it, so I zoned out and came here to write this little recap.
As things stand right now, Vanessa is in much better spirits. I honestly believe that once she regroups, we'll see some planning and campaigning. I think the feeds will be interesting over the next few days so you don't have them already, you should get them! There's a link somewhere here you can click and you get a free week long trial, so you've got nothing to lose! I spend more on a good steak dinner than you do for a couple months left of good entertainment, just sayin! ;)
One side note, from something I saw on twitter tonight. These house guests come into the BB house for our entertainment. We watch them, we love them, we hate them, we root for them or cheer their fall from grace. We dissect the human condition, we observe their strategies, we take note of group dynamics and we do it all for the entertainment value. Please, please do NOT take any of this so seriously that you feel the need to insert the game of Big Brother into these peoples REAL lives. The two are separate, the game should never be brought out in such a way as to try and get people fired, or to the point of making threats to loved ones as has happened in previous seasons. And don't give me the old stand by argument of 'Well, they signed up for this!' No, they signed up for a chance to win $500 000, nothing more, nothing less. If you don't like a house guest, fine, don't like them. But their game moves aren't made as personal attacks against you, so as our good friend Steve has been saying a lot lately...This is just a tv show in a parking lot. That's it, a tv show in a parking lot. :)
Well, after a pretty exciting feeds day/night yesterday, it figures that tonight would mellow out a bit. I confess I was hoping for a bit more drama but alas, the lone figure who creates the chaos chose to sleep away her pride, paranoia and nomination. Literally!
To recap just a bit, the entire house consulted and conspired with each other and came to the consensus that Audrey was too much of a troublemaker and liar to continue to keep in the game. After a house meeting that included everyone but her, it was agreed that Vanessa would use the veto on Jason and Shelli would nominate Audrey in her place. When I left you last night, Audrey had disappeared in the diary room and had been there for a long time. She ended up doing much the same thing for most of today. If you read Mike's update from today you'll know that Audrey disappeared into the DR shortly before lunch and was in there for HOURS. House guests were all atwitter with the idea that maybe she had self-evicted and twitter was appropriately atwitter with all kinds of speculation. If you have some time to kill, check out the hashtag #WhenAudreyWentIntoTheDR There's some pretty funny stuff in there. I think twitter ended up being more entertaining than the feeds.
Audrey eventually emerged from the DR, with sunglasses on, hoodie up and a brown paper bag. She immediately went into the Have Not room, turned out the lights and went to sleep. She has remained in there this entire time as far as I can tell. Cameras have been on in and around the house, but I haven't even seen her go to the washroom. Some are suspicious that she's been medicated.
A few interesting tidbits that emerged:
The turning off of the lights in the Have Not room so she can sleep. This is actually a big no-no and Big Brother has been pretty diligent on not letting any of the other house guests do this. Becky actually put laundry away in the dark so as not to disturb Audrey.
Audrey did NOT attend the POV ceremony today. The feeds went to fish shortly after Audrey emerged. POV ceremony was held, Shelli did as expected but Audrey was nominated in absentia. I'm not sure if they tried to get her to come and she flat out refused, or if she was given permission to sit it out. Either way, I wasn't impressed and neither was most of twitterland. Jocasta missed the picking of the POV players once last year due to extreme illness, but she attended the actual POV ceremony. (It was the one Donny was picked to play for her, won and removed her from the block.) Meg even commented "What, is she going to miss eviction too?" Some feel that she's been heavily medicated to keep her calm and that's why she didn't go, but most feel that she's behaving more like a sore loser.
We got a bit of confirmation that the twins are kept off site when not in the house which most of us already suspected. Liz and Julia switched places again today; Liz confided she had been ready and waiting to switch since 1pm, but due to Audrey being in the diary room, they had her watch a movie and her driver/handler waited in the car.
In other house happenings, Julie only had a few minutes to teach Liz the WhackStreet Boys dance, but Liz managed to grasp it fairly well. Jason noticed right away that they had switched and suggested to JohnnyMac they alter the ending of their dance to mess with her. They then also spent a portion of the night teaching the dance to the others in the house. Clay and Meg managed fairly well but watching Becky attempt the body roll was painful.
Jackie had a long conversation with Meg that got my hopes up a teeny tiny bit that perhaps she might grow into a player to be reckoned with, but my bubble was burst by the fact she still doubts the twin twist, and that she wouldn't put Clay or Shelli up if she won HOH. Meg still has no idea there are even 'sides' in the house, despite noting with Jackie that they're the only ones that have been nominated since the game started. Becky brought Audrey some food since she's not leaving that cave at all.
Clay and Shelli spent some time in the hammock nervousing about next week; Shelli NEEDS Clay to win HOH because she doesn't want people to target them. She's become suspicious of Vanessa. Jason is aware that Austin fills the 'new' twin in on house happenings when the switches happen.
Prank wars are a thing right now; Steve played some kind of prank on James and James returned the favour by squeezing honey into a sleeping Steve's mouth. James then, with some assistance from Austin and Clay, built two sleeping people out of pillows and hats in the comic room. I think the intended target was Meg, but they were discovered before the prank could really come to fruition.
As I cap this off, Clay and Steve are working out in the backyard. Steve is asking Clay if he would tell him if he were in terrible shape. There is a crew inside talking about physical therapy, chiropractic therapy and general chit chat, but the feeds cut to all cams on Clay and Steve, so I'm throwing in the towel for tonight folks. I hope you all enjoyed yesterday's shenanigans since I think we're in for some very mundane feeds for the rest of the week, unless Audrey decides to emerge from the Have Not hole for one last fight.
Tell me your thoughts on the marathon diary room session! Do you think it's ok that Audrey was able to turn off the have not room lights? What about missing the POV ceremony? Thanks for all the new follows on twitter today, feel free to check me out at @Shienara33 Sweet dreams! :)
Things have been crazy since last night. I wanted to throw up a quick post because we are seeing the same questions over and over on twitter. First if you missed what lead up to today you should read Tara's post from Sunday evening here: Sunday Night House Meeting
Here is a timeline (rough!)..... Note - New update at end of this post - 4:50pm and 6:30pm BB time.
Audrey came out of the Diary Room shortly after Midnight. Then there was a weird feed glitch and a brief message that there were technical issues, eventually the feeds righted themselves. If you were watching live it wasn't THAT much time but now on the replay there seems to be about the 1st 25 minutes of the day is missing. That means that when you start the feeds at 12am you are actually seeing about 12:25am. This has carried on throughout the day. Everything on the BB clock on the feeds is off - the live time showing is 25 minutes earlier - but the feeds are indeed live.
So for this post I am going to list the time as BB time (the time to use for flashback) and Pacific time (the actual time it happened).
Around 1:38am BBT (2:03am Pacific) Audrey climbed in bed to talk to Vanessa - she was very upset and crying. She said she was - or was worried she was going to have a panic attack. She knows the entire house plans to vote her out I believe. This lasted for at least an hour I think. James was involved too.
Fast forward to much later on. Audrey eventually ended up in her 'bed' in the Have Not room and was sleeping.
Around 11:02am BBT (11:27am Pacific) Vanessa was called into the DR and we thought the POV ceremony was about to start. She came out a few moments later and said they just needed some voice over stuff. I think about then is when Audrey entered the DR (the feeds cut in and out of Fish Cam several times and we didn't see her go in).
Its now 3:15 pm Pacific (2:47pm BBT) and we have yet to see Audrey come out of the DR.
We think she is talking to a doctor or a counselor or production. The HGs think she may be walking out.
I'll continue to monitor the feeds to see when/if Audrey returns. I think she will.
Only two HGs have ever walked out of BBUSA on their own in the past. That was Neil in Big Brother 9 (Evicted HG Sharon re-entered) and Dick in Big Brother 13 (not replaced).
Follow me on twitter for more updated or sign up for the live feeds to see them HGs for your self. A free one week trial can be had by following this link.
4:50pm Pacific UPDATE: At 3:51pm BBT On camera 3 you can see Audrey go back to the Have Not room. Shortly after the feeds cut and we assume that the Power of Veto meeting is finally starting.
6:30pm Pacific Update: at 5:19pm BBT on the feeds came back from fish and we found the POV meeting had been held. Audrey didn't attend and was nominated by Shelli after Vanessa saved Jason. Audrey appears to be sleeping in the Have Not room where she has been since she came out of the Diary Room. Yes this is against the rules, no Big Brother likely isn't going to punish Audrey, they just want here there to walk out of the house on Thursday.
Without Ash about this season to keep you all up to date this sites been a bit slow I know and my apologies. We are working to remedy that I promise. Hopefully you have been following myself, Scott and John on twitter as well of course as Colette from www.colettelala.com as she posts almost daily 'updates' with a her snarky, literal license enhanced twists. Our twitters are respectively @bbgossip@bigbrothrgossip, @uselesstraffic and @colettelala
We can fly by the past week because as you shoud know, Jace is now the next Surfer Dude (BB15 David and BB11 Braden in previous seasons) that was first out the door.
Audrey is in really hot water but I think she will be safe this coming week. I have thought that going into Thursday night's show but I am even more confident as I sit here writing this Friday morning and here is why......
As you should have seen, Becky and Shelli, two HGs that readily admitted to each other they barely knew what was going on last week were crowned HoH's at the end of Thursday's show. They both quickly came up with their nominees:
Becky wanting to target Audrey with a backdoor plan by nominating Steve and Jason and then hoping they would then throw the Battle of the Block (BoB) competition thus staying nominated and she then could in theory put up Audrey with a POV re-nom, assuming both Audrey didn't win it and someone that wanted her out did win it and used it.
Shelli meanwhile took the straight forward approach and nominated Davonne and John - her target being Davonne (even though Becky and some others think/thought Shelli was also in on the backdoor Audrey plan). Davonne is seen as a weak competitor so Shelli and her co-hoh/showmance Clay decided it was best just to get her nominated.
Once nominations were over very early on Friday morning the BoB competition was held and Davonne was so bad at it that John apparently didn't have to work too hard to throw it (Shelli asked him to, having filled him in on the plan to go after Davonne). With Steve and Jason winning the BoB, Becky is no longer HoH and both Jason and Steve are safe for the rest of the week.
The HGs then went to bed and currently are mostly up or napping and waiting to draw names for the POV competition. If Davonne or Jason don't win it then she will be in trouble come Thursday.
The "Last Laugh" twist has not been introduced yet - so we aren't not sure how that will play out - but if the entire house gets on the 'vote out Davonne' train, 3 nullified votes won't be much help.
And there you go - all caught up on the nitty gritty details.
UPDATE 4:45pm Friday. Johnny won the POV competition. He plans to use it on himself, the POV ceremony won't likely be until Sunday since tomorrow is the 4th so there is lots and lots of time for a replacement nominee to be decided. I also forgot to mention that on Thursday after the show the Have Nots were picked - only they weren't picked - Steve, James, Meg and Jason all volunteered.
