Howdy all, thought it best to let you all know whats up if you don't happen to listen to our weekly podcast.... wait, why don't you listen to our weekly podcast? If you did there will be barely anything in this post you don't already know so get on listening to our weekly podcast!!!
Still here eh? OK, fine. Here are the basics on what's gone on since nominations.
As you should know, Vanessa nominated Steve and John with John seeming to be the person she wanted to go (I explained the logic of this in our weekly podcast - John is a wild card and I think Vanessa feels he is the hardest to read of the remaining HGs).
Then on Saturday 'ole Johnny Mac WON the POV competition which throws a huge spanner in the works (Thats British lingo ya know, I've been catching up on Celebrity Big Brother over the weekend!).
Vanessa mulled it over using about 5 bags of skittles and came up with the replacement nomination of Austin - that POV meeting took place today so now Austin is up against Steve.
If I had to pick I'd say Steve is the one that will go to the Jury on Monday. Liz will want to save Austin and John won't be mad at Vanessa for voting out Steve if she happened to have to via tie-breaker and in theory John would want to work with Vanessa over Austin/Liz. (Follow up - after I posted this John and Vanessa had a long talk where she suggested he make it a tie vote and she would make the big move and get out Austin which is exactly what happened).
The actual eviction will take place on Monday - it will be taped and shown on Tuesday. CBS is already advertising via a scroll on the live feeds page that the live feeds will be down from 9am BBT on Monday until 9pm BBT on Tuesday (after the West Coast airing of the fake 'live' eviction show).
There has already been a ton of complaining online about this - it happens every year. It will be ok...... honest. If you are incensed - I'd suggest canceling the feeds now and saving yourself a dollar or two - but frankly the feeds have been the best in years with all the game play we have been able to see - Mondays to Thursdays haven't been this consistently interesting ever.

At The End Of The Day...
Aloha! I've been absent again for a few days, so my apologies. This weekend was a long weekend for me so I spent some time having fun with friends and made an overnight trip to some local hot springs, which was glorious! ;)
I did keep up on twitter a bit, and have watched a bit of feeds tonight so I thought I'd do a short recap. In nutshell, James is HOH; he nominated Clay and Shelli for eviction, over which the fallout was the stuff that makes feeds worthwhile. Tears, recriminations, alliances crumbling and turning on each other. You know, all the best things about Big Brother! ;)
James also won the POV. Jackie ended up having to wear a knight's unwieldy armour and Vanessa had to be her squire for 24 hours and polish her shield. Shelli had to complete 2400 'battles'-she had a sword and had to hit three different targets, along with ringing a bell every time she completed 100 battles.
There was some scrambling on Shelli and Clay's part in hoping to convince James to use the POV on one of them. There was some talk of trying to get him to put up Steve and when that wasn't working, they decided to try and convince James to put up Austin. Shelli told James about Judas etc. She told James that Liz and Julia don't really care about Austin and would vote him out. (this did make it back to Austin as well and that's been a bit fun to watch). Her own 'betrayal' didn't sit well with Shelli, she was upset with herself to the point of claiming to be sick.
In the end, James did NOT use the veto and Clay and Shelli remain on the block. The current drama in the house is that James et al (Meg and Jackie) want and think the house will vote out Shelli and that Clay is staying. However, Vanessa has convinced Austin, the twins and Steve to vote out Clay and keep Shelli. She didn't have to try very hard to convince them of that; the twins were already leaning towards keeping Shelli anyways.
Clay however, has gone from crying and making people swear to vote him out to *kind of* back tracking. He's not exactly campaigning/fighting to stay, but he's no longer asking people to vote him out. This week might turn out to be slightly interesting to see how the dynamic of the showmance couple being on the block works out, knowing that one of them is going and how that affects their campaigning. Vanessa's crew already think Clay is a little bit shady to go from begging to be evicted to 'doing what's best for their game'.
The biggest current issue happening is that Austin wants to let James know that they've decided to vote out Clay. Vanessa isn't 100% on board with that yet; she keeps questioning Austin on what his reasoning is behind that. She'd rather just do it/blindside them and explain later. Austin wants to let him know ahead of time so as not to burn any bridges with a blindside that's not really necessary. Austin seems pretty adamant so I do think he'll win that discussion. Austin also asked Shelli to say she lied to James about the whole Judas thing going forward in order to make up for her throwing him under the bus (or bridge, if you're James! haha).
There have also been lengthy discussions on who to target during a double eviction. JohnnyMac is high up on Austin's radar so he's not going to be able to coast for much longer. Becky is also expendable to them along with Steve. Honestly, love her or hate her, Vanessa is playing a very good game right now and is in a pretty good spot. The only other little interesting tidbit that happened tonight is that there have been comments-seed planting by Vanessa in my opinion-that Austin controls the twins and therefor will not be targeted for a while because that's (theoretically) 3 jury votes he'll control and the other house guests will be afraid of alienating him and/or the twins.

What CBS Didn't Show You Tonight
Like most feedwatchers, I was furious at what CBS decided to show us tonight when it came to the switch from Austin to Jason as the replacement nominee. According to the CBS edit, Austin pretty much saved himself by pleading to Shelli and Clay that he would never betray them (along with a similar plea to Vanessa).
That's not what happened at all.
To fully understand, one must go back to Saturday afternoon. As CBS did show tonight, Shelli was really proud of Clay's big POV victory. It was almost like how a proud mother reacts to anything positive her precious little son accomplishes.
Unfortunately, the rest of the house didn't jump for joy with as much enthusiasm as she did. Why would they? At the time, Shelli was so wrapped up in her own little world that she didn't even notice that they weren't ready to hand him a trophy rewarding him for the performance of the season.
CBS also did show Vanessa planning to tell Liz the big plan on targetting Austin. She was to head downstairs and apply her makeup, and immediately run back upstairs. She wasn't to hang with Austin at all, and he could NOT come up to the HOH with him.
The next 70 minutes were hilarious for those watching online. Liz did head downstairs to put on makeup, but that's not all she did. She puttered around the bathroom for quite some time, and then sat down with Austin for a chicken dinner. As I was gathering audio at the time, I can verify that it was 70 minutes before she meandered back upstairs.
In the meantime, Shelli found out that not everybody was as enthusiastic about Clay's victory as she was. Now nothing comes between Shelli and her boytoy! She was suddenly convinced that the other side of the house had banded together to go against her and Clay.
Shelli then rushed upstairs and told Vanessa that they must rethink their plans. He's a number for them, after all, and along with the twins will continue to be a target for weeks to come. Yes, Liz's chicken dinner saved Austin's ass this week!
Edit #1: Austin fed into Shelli's paranoia, and introduced the idea of the big alliance of the "other side". After Shelli brought this up to Vanessa, including the concept of keeping Austin, he was summoned. Austin admitted that he didn't have an proof, but the possibility "made sense".
But I'm jumping ahead a bit there. While that decision was sort of made at that moment, Vanessa had to dot some i's and cross some t's. Liz finally came up, and Shelli immediately gave her attitude. "I know everything", she said to a clearly confused Liz. Like CBS showed, Liz did claim to not have the same feelings for Austin as he did for her, and she also did bring up the numbers situation just earlier referenced by Shelli. Liz also made the line of the week, as she called Julia her "cock block" in dealing with Austin.
So again, at this point Austin was saved, and he was then summoned to meet with Vanessa. She made him sweat it out a bit, and he did proclaim his loyalty to her as shown on the broadcast. But, and this is a big but, he screwed himself when he was again asked about the hinky Audrey vote he cast as "Judas". He lied once again, and since Vanessa hates liars (except for herself) it looked at this point like he may have unknowingly killed his comeback.
For the next 36 or so hours, Vanessa went back and forth about whether to keep Austin or not. He was the target here and there over this time, but other names were brought up. It seriously looked like Jackie was going to go at one point on Sunday. John's name came up, as did Meg. Jason was also considered, but it wasn't until Vanessa began obsessing over the "Phone Booth" twist that Vanessa decided that Jason was lying to her. She didn't believe that Day had won that twist based on the three people whose votes were set aside. Keep in mind, this was something that happened three weeks ago! Almost the entire cast was asked with the threat that Vanessa knew the truth, which she obviously didn't. It was finally decided that Jason was indeed lying to her, and there was the reasoning this goofball needed.
Yet the story wasn't quite over yet. On Monday, shortly before the POV meeting, Vanessa had second thoughts. Maybe Jason wasn't lying. It was Jackie's turn to miss the opportunity, as she was summoned to grab Jason for a chat. Instead, she continued to brush her hair, adjust her boobs, add lotion, and clean her glasses with the hemline of her dress. No, I'm not making this up.
Edit #2: During this time period, Vanessa became paranoid about James. Did he or did he not try to throw the BOB? There was a conversation about how he actually helped Liz with the "i" in Christine's name. She wandered downstairs and asked a semi-sleeping, confused James if he indeed assisted her. When he stupidly said yes instead of "why do you ask", she was furious. This fact didn't ultimately change anything, primarily because James was ineligible for nomination due to his BOB win.
Jason never made it up to the HOH, and he was then put up as Clay's replacements.
Why CBS went with the edit they utilized tonight is beyond me. Wouldn't it have been much more entertaining to watch Liz disobey her orders and putter around the house? Wouldn't Shelli's anger over the lack of excitement of Clay's accomplishments be much more fun for viewers to see? This is why you need to get the feeds and/or listen to the Big Brother Gossip Show!

Monday Night Sleeping Little Bunny...
Well, after a pretty exciting feeds day/night yesterday, it figures that tonight would mellow out a bit. I confess I was hoping for a bit more drama but alas, the lone figure who creates the chaos chose to sleep away her pride, paranoia and nomination. Literally!
To recap just a bit, the entire house consulted and conspired with each other and came to the consensus that Audrey was too much of a troublemaker and liar to continue to keep in the game. After a house meeting that included everyone but her, it was agreed that Vanessa would use the veto on Jason and Shelli would nominate Audrey in her place. When I left you last night, Audrey had disappeared in the diary room and had been there for a long time. She ended up doing much the same thing for most of today. If you read Mike's update from today you'll know that Audrey disappeared into the DR shortly before lunch and was in there for HOURS. House guests were all atwitter with the idea that maybe she had self-evicted and twitter was appropriately atwitter with all kinds of speculation. If you have some time to kill, check out the hashtag #WhenAudreyWentIntoTheDR There's some pretty funny stuff in there. I think twitter ended up being more entertaining than the feeds.
Audrey eventually emerged from the DR, with sunglasses on, hoodie up and a brown paper bag. She immediately went into the Have Not room, turned out the lights and went to sleep. She has remained in there this entire time as far as I can tell. Cameras have been on in and around the house, but I haven't even seen her go to the washroom. Some are suspicious that she's been medicated.
A few interesting tidbits that emerged:
Jackie had a long conversation with Meg that got my hopes up a teeny tiny bit that perhaps she might grow into a player to be reckoned with, but my bubble was burst by the fact she still doubts the twin twist, and that she wouldn't put Clay or Shelli up if she won HOH. Meg still has no idea there are even 'sides' in the house, despite noting with Jackie that they're the only ones that have been nominated since the game started. Becky brought Audrey some food since she's not leaving that cave at all.
Clay and Shelli spent some time in the hammock nervousing about next week; Shelli NEEDS Clay to win HOH because she doesn't want people to target them. She's become suspicious of Vanessa. Jason is aware that Austin fills the 'new' twin in on house happenings when the switches happen.
Prank wars are a thing right now; Steve played some kind of prank on James and James returned the favour by squeezing honey into a sleeping Steve's mouth. James then, with some assistance from Austin and Clay, built two sleeping people out of pillows and hats in the comic room. I think the intended target was Meg, but they were discovered before the prank could really come to fruition.
As I cap this off, Clay and Steve are working out in the backyard. Steve is asking Clay if he would tell him if he were in terrible shape. There is a crew inside talking about physical therapy, chiropractic therapy and general chit chat, but the feeds cut to all cams on Clay and Steve, so I'm throwing in the towel for tonight folks. I hope you all enjoyed yesterday's shenanigans since I think we're in for some very mundane feeds for the rest of the week, unless Audrey decides to emerge from the Have Not hole for one last fight.

I'm not sure if they tried to get her to come and she flat out refused, or if she was given permission to sit it out. Either way, I wasn't impressed and neither was most of twitterland. Jocasta missed the picking of the POV players once last year due to extreme illness, but she attended the actual POV ceremony. (It was the one Donny was picked to play for her, won and removed her from the block.) Meg even commented "What, is she going to miss eviction too?" Some feel that she's been heavily medicated to keep her calm and that's why she didn't go, but most feel that she's behaving more like a sore loser.
- We got a bit of confirmation that the twins are kept off site when not in the house which most of us already suspected. Saturday Morning - Would all the J's step forward please?
Last we left you on Thursday night, after what myself and others think may have been the worst HoH competition ever, except maybe Part 1 of the HoH competition in Season 7 where Mike Boogie jumped off and Janelle was eliminated moments later on a technicality created by Julie Chen with an answer she gave to Erika... (watch it here). But as usual, I digress.........
As we saw Shelli and Liz, yes it was Liz not Julia, won the first part of this weeks HoH competition and so had to make nominations on Friday.
I'll save you the back and forth and discussions went on in the spirit of brevity and cut to the chase - the group that is sort of (or thinks they are) in power this week would be Shelli, Clay, Liz (Julia), Austin and Vanessa. The nominations ended up being Liz: Jackie & James --- Shelli: Jason & John. I am sure it is a complete coincidence that they nominated the J's - in alphabetical order even.... Becky, Steve and Meg could have all been listed and I would not have been surprised.
The target is actually not very firm yet, Vanessa (not a HoH as we know but seems to think she still is in some ways) is concerned about the two unknown votes for Jeff. To review, Jackie and John voted as they had said they would for Jeff to stay. Steve and Liz surprised everyone (including all viewers and likely even Julia) by also voting to save Jeff. Most of the house has concluded that someone is America's Player and was forced to vote for Jeff, thus accounting for one vote (which is wrong of course), the second vote is what is really bugging them. Vanessa thinks it was either Becky or Steve and eventually, wrongly, settled on Becky.
The 'plan' as I understood things was to have Jason and John win the BoB competition. Shelli specifically told them both she wanted them to win it so she would be able to compete for HoH next week feeling she was safe with Liz/Julia as HoH this week. But that's not how it worked out and somehow Jackie and James pulled off the win so they are safe this week and Liz is back among the common people sleeping downstairs.
We now await the POV competition today/tonight. It often takes place during our weekly Big Brother Gossip Show so be sure to tune into it at 10pm Eastern tonight!
We'll be discussing all of the above in much more details with charts, audio clips and snark galore!
As of the early morning (I'm still catching up), I see that Audrey is FAR from safe as a 'backdoor' target and Shelli has even suggested the possibility of going after Austin this week.

Saturday Morning - Day 24 - Nominations & BoB
Happy Saturday morning everyone. I wanted to jump in with a brief "just the facts ma'am" sort of update as Tara is justifiably otherwise occupied and Colette, Scott and I are busy preparing for tonight's Big Brother Gossip Show.
When we last left you, Liz was back in the house and we had newly crowned Vanessa and Austin were starting to talk nominations.
The fast facts are as follows: Vanessa nominated James and John - Austin nominated Jason and Meg. There was then a BoB (Battle of the Block) competition that involved drinking (perhaps not in the actual competition but many of the HGs were drinking) thanks to the guest 'takeover' by Ron G (not spelling it) this week. James claims he threw the competition and we know John was told to as a part of yet another 'backdoor' plan. Thus Austin is out as HoH and Meg and Jason live to float another week.
After the BoB competition there was much scrambling and I THINK Vanessa wants to get out Jeff (Douche Canoe as called by fellow BBG writer Tara) - however some feel she will be happy getting rid of James, who seems to think he is very safe and that the ultimate target is Audrey. Audrey is 3rd choice as I see it - after Jeff and James, and I'm not even positive about that.
Alliance wise, things are starting to jell, Austin, Vanessa, Liz/Julia are working together - Shelli and Clay are also working with Austin, Vanessa and Liz/Julia (all mentioned now know both Liz & Julia as two people). They are the 'core' of a couple alliances (Steve might be considered a bit on the edge of it) and then the 'other' side could be looked at as James, Meg, Jeff, Jackie and maybe Jason who lost his biggest ally on Thursday. Now its still a rough draft of groups because people are still crossing back and forth. Becky and John, for example, are talking with people on both 'sides' and Jeff is convinced he's in tighter with some people than he is. I think Audry. the only person in the house that doesn't even KNOW people suspect a Twin Twist with Liz, thinks she is closer to Clay and Shelli than she is.
I am sure today things will firm up some more alliance-wise, as an example Clay was working to pull Becky closer to him and Shelli early this morning, but with 14 (15 with Julia) still in the house there are a lot of bodies to keep tabs on.
We now await the POV competition which will take place sometime today. It usually seems to happen during out weekly podcast - so tune in here at 10pm EST.
And there you have it! I have said it several times, I think this is the best start to Big Brother in many seasons. The lack of a former house guest, a celebrity (sorry Jeff & Jackie) or a sibling of an America hating, cupcake licking pop start, has been great! Especially since almost all of these house guests are trying to play the game.
